In recent years, capturing and transmitting color images through the network to convey visual information in a short time has become a crucial task. Choosing the appropriate compression technique is a challenging endeavor due to technological advancements with inccrement of the memory usage. Various lossless and lossy image compression techniques have been developed over the years. However, the studies pertains to a lack of extensive assessment across various compression algorithms and metrics, necessitating a practical comparative analysis of existing methodologies for color image optimization in graphical representation and storage. Hence, a comprehensive comparative study is conducted on six types of lossless compression techniques (Huffman, RLE, LZW encoding, JPEG2KLeGall53, PNG, WebP) and six types of lossy compression techniques (JPEG-DCT, SVD, K-means, JPEG2K-CDF97, PNG, WebP), evaluating their performance based on input parameters for compresion such as quality factor, selection of singular values, and number of clusters. The outputs are analzed followed by the extracted parameters such as compression ratio (CR), time, RMSE, PSNR, SSIM, FSIM, and bpp to determine the best case of compression. Furthermore, a weighted Friedman ranking test is conducted to determine the most effective compression technique. It is concluded that JPEG2K-CDF97 is optimal for lossy compression, while WebP is considerable for lossless compression. © 2024 IEEE.

Traffic congestion is a growing problem in India, largely caused by the increasing number of vehicles. To address this, creating an adaptive traffic control system has become essential. To present a solution, this paper aims to create a resilient, adaptive traffic control system that dynamically adjusts signal timings based on the current traffic density. The paper proposes introducing a Fog layer at each traffic junction to capture real-time video feeds and process them locally, with the final decision about dynamic signal control being taken in the Cloud. The validity of the solution is tested through simulations in SUMO. A Machine Learning model is trained in the Cloud to predict expected vehicle numbers to set adaptive signal times for contingency situations. The paper aims to demonstrate the resilience and performance of the system with the adaptive traffic signal control algorithm, potentially offering a solution to traffic congestion in India. © 2023 IEEE.

Discovering emerging entities (EEs) is the problem of finding entities before their establishment. These entities can be critical for individuals, companies, and governments. Many of these entities can be discovered on social media platforms, e.g. Twitter. These identities have been the spot of research in academy and industry in recent years. Similar to any machine learning problem, data availability is one of the major challenges in this problem. This paper proposes EEPT that is an online clustering method able to discover EEs without any need for training on a dataset. Additionally, due to the lack of a proper evaluation metric, this paper uses a new metric to evaluate the results. The results show that EEPT is promising and finds significant entities before their establishment. © 2023 IEEE.

In the realm of academic research, the task of determining the most suitable Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) becomes complex, owing to the diverse project requirements, rapidly changing technology, team skills and experience, organizational culture and readiness, flexibility and adaptability needs, and decision-making complexity. It requires a thorough analysis of various factors to make a wise decision that aligns with the project's goals and constraints. A variety of models, including Waterfall, Prototyping, and Spiral, offer distinct sets of advantages and disadvantages. Agile modeling is a flexible and iterative software development strategy that emphasizes collaborative modeling and rapid feedback. The agile philosophy promotes transparency, effective communication, and embracing change to meet evolving project needs efficiently and effectively. An In-dept. Examination of Agile Methodologies versus Conventional Approaches gives a deeper understanding of their respective strengths, weaknesses, and applicability. Also as the educational institutes increasingly recognize the importance of providing industry-relevant skills and preparing students for dynamic work environments, agile methodologies are likely to play a vital role in shaping the future of education and fostering the success of students in their careers. This research investigates the feasibility of utilizing Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) in conjunction with Raspberry Pi-equipped Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) swarms. The primary objective is to overcome the limitations of traditional communication infrastructures in dynamic and decentralized environments. Specifically, we address the challenge of establishing reliable and efficient communication links within a swarm of UAVs engaged in various applications, including disaster response, military reconnaissance, and environmental monitoring. By integrating Raspberry Pi devices with UAVs, we aim to create a self-organizing communication network that enables seamless data transmission, coordinated swarm operations, and enhanced mission effectiveness. The research explores different synchronization strategies, including master-slave and decentralized approaches, to optimize swarm coordination. Furthermore, we investigate the potential of incorporating advanced technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, and swarm intelligence to further enhance the autonomy, adaptability, and overall performance of the UAV swarm. © 2025 IEEE.

We evaluate the effectiveness of reading aloud a program code in learning programming from a neuroscientific perspective by measuring brain activity using a near-infrared spectroscopy device. The results show that when reading aloud and then reading silently, brain activity increases during reading aloud;a similar trend is observed when the reading order is reversed. In addition, written tests, such as C-language fill-in-the-blank questions, result in higher scores when the participants read aloud than when they read silently. Furthermore, no characteristic differences in brain activity were found between students with good programming skills and those without. Significant differences were found for students with average programming skills. In a future study, we will increase the number of participants to verify the above results and clarify the relation between brain activity and the difficulty level of the program code, reading speed, subvocalization during silent reading, and other factors. The use of spatial audio plugins (SAPs) with Ambisonics processing and binaural rendering has become widespread in the last decade, thanks to their increased accessibility and usability. SAPs are particularly relevant in scenarios involving real-time music playing with headphones, such as networked music performance and individual recreational music-making using backing tracks. However, a crucial issue that has been largely overlooked thus far is the measurement of the processing latency introduced by currently available SAPs. Identifying which SAPs are the fastest is essential to enable designers, musicians, and researchers to create time-sensitive applications involving 3D audio. To bridge this gap, we compared nine systems formed by different SAPs that enable 3D audio management. We measured the latency of each system throughout the third-order Ambisonics plugins pipeline: encoding, room simulation, sound scene rotation, and binaural decoding. In particular, the measurements were performed utilizing different buffer sizes. Results showed that to achieve a minimization of the latency, it is necessary to use a combination of different SAPs from different systems. Based on our measurements, we propose two spatial audio systems that mix different SAPs. Considering a sampling rate of 48 kHz, a Dell Alienware x15 R2 laptop running the Windows 10 operating system, and an RME Fireface UFX sound card, the two systems achieved an overall latency of 0.33 ms and 0.94 ms respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Social commerce uses a variety of social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and business Whatsapp as a platform to promote products and services. Since advertising, a product, or service in s-comm will reach as high as a possible number of users on networking sites. Ads will spread virally by sharing among friends and friends of friends. So that wider reachability is possible and shortly will get the customer for our business. The success of an s-comm campaign is measured by the degree to which consumers interact with the sellers through review comments, likes, and shares between friends. Customer behavior analysis is needed for s-comm marketing because social commerce can significantly boost economic growth. The sentiment analysis of customer recommendations was investigated using a dataset of women's s-comm apparel hashtags and reviews. So for such reviews are experimented with different machine learning algorithms (Decision tree, SVM, Random Forest, KNN, Naïve Bayes and LSTM). These models handled the common English reviews and compared the metrics (Accuracy, Sensitivity and Specificity) with one another. Instead of working with individual model, this paper introduces a novel hybrid approach that integrates CNN and Ada Boost LSTM algorithms to provide better results in sentiment analysis when compared to other machine learning algorithms mentioned above. While considering the hash tag with common review comments the hybrid system is out performed. The comparison analysis is done for performance matrices namely accuracy of 98%, specificity of 98.1%, and sensitivity of 98.1%. In the s-commerce transaction industry, this hybrid approach will help to create a deeper understanding of consumer sentiment analysis and psychologically attract clients. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's environment, Machine Learning has the potential to make huge strides toward making life better for everyone in the horticulture sector. Disease identification and prediction at the early stage of disease diagnosis will help the farmers get more yields and have a strong economic background. The proposed system uses a neural network algorithm to get insight into using machine learning technology for improving the nation's horticulture in areas like production, crop protection, and day-to-day field monitoring. Our work will also notify us about how various areas of machine learning may be brought together to create a unified result that will aid in the growth of the horticulture industry and, by extension, the nation's overall productivity. Our goal throughout this research was to provide a standardized method for evaluating the development and quality of produce. Because computer vision has so much promise to address issues in rural areas, this research drew on several prior publications for background material. © 2023 IEEE.
