Path-based Testing is a common technique to test System Under Test (SUT) processes. Generally, a directed graph that models a system’s workflow is input to the test path generation process, as well as the selected test coverage criterion. Several algorithms are proposed in the literature that traverse the graph and facilitate the generation of test cases for the selected coverage criterion. However, a plain directed graph used for modeling SUT processes does not allow for the capture of real-life dependencies and constraints between actions in the tested processes, which might pose a limit in application of this technique. Therefore, we defined an extended model that allows the specification of constraints upon the graph’s elements and a set of algorithms that allow the generation of the set of test cases that satisfy the given constraints with the edge coverage. Considering the fact that in path-based testing, there is no platform in which engineers and researchers can share SUT models to be further assembled into open datasets to test performance of evolved path-based testing MBT algorithms, especially for the given problem of test paths generation with the constraints, this paper presents a summary of the problem and a novel management for creation and management of SUT models with constraints that allows the generation of test paths as well as to serve as a platform for creation of such benchmark datasets.

Recent years have seen tremendous progress in the area of neuromorphic computing, which seeks to mimic the parallel processing power and energy efficiency of the human brain. From the standpoint of device-circuit modelling, this work explores how spintronic devices might improve the scalability and performance of neuromorphic systems. Utilizing the inherent spin of the electron and the magnetic moment that goes along with it, spintronics has special benefits in terms of non-volatility, low power consumption, and high integration density. We provide a thorough model that accurately depicts the complex behaviour of spintronic components and how they are incorporated into neuromorphic circuits. Our results suggest that spintronic devices may improve the overall efficiency of neuromorphic systems by reducing the power-delay product substantially. Furthermore, it is possible to realize synaptic capabilities and plasticity processes with better accuracy by using the intrinsic features of spintronic devices, such as magnetoresistance and spin-transfer torque. Additionally, the research identifies problems with device variability and suggests possible fixes. In summary, spintronic devices have great potential to transform the field of neuromorphic computing if they are properly modelled and integrated. © 2023 IEEE.

Since the term "virtual reality"(VR) was first used in the 1960s, VR has evolved to the point where it is being used in a variety of fields. Most scholars' studies on engagement have focused on the field of online learning, but there is a lack of research on learning engagement in immersive virtual environments. Therefore, this study uses an experimental research method under the guidance of immersive education theory to investigate the learning engagement and learning satisfaction of students of CCNU in quantitative data analysis of learning engagement and learning satisfaction in the immersion environment and in the laptop video learning environment. The correlation between curiosity, presence and learning engagement was also explored. The experimental results reveal that 1) the immersive virtual environment has a significant positive effect on the learning engagement of college students;2) the learning engagement of students in the immersive virtual environment is positively correlated with curiosity and presence, respectively. This is also a good proof that the stronger immersion brought by virtual reality technology is a major reason for positively influencing students' learning engagement. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, the design of anomaly detectors has attracted a tremendous surge of interest due to security issues in industrial control systems (ICS). Restricted by hardware resources, most anomaly detectors can only be deployed at the remote monitoring ends, far away from the control sites, which brings potential threats to anomaly detection. In this paper, we propose an active real-time anomaly detection framework deployed in the controller of OpenPLC, which is a standardized open-source PLC and has high scalability. Specifically, we add adaptive active noises to control signals, and then identify a linear dynamic system model of the plant offline and implement it in the controller. Finally, we design two filters to process the estimated residuals based on the obtained model and use χ2 detector for anomaly detection. Extensive experiments are conducted on an industrial control virtual platform to show the effectiveness of the proposed detection framework. © 2022 IEEE.

Hearing loss impacts over 5% of the world's population, a percent rising due to aging populations, noise exposure, and chronic health conditions. To address this, we developed a non-invasive hearing device designed for individuals with hearing challenges that limit the use of hearing aids. The proposed device integrates a set of Bluetooth headphones with a smartphone, that process the ambient sound in real time through a software application and delivers to the hear impaired patient via bone conduction, bypassing traditional auditory pathways. Laboratory tests confirmed that the proposed device effectively replicates auditory perception. The developed device offers an accessible and user-friendly alternative to patients who cannot use traditional hearing aids.

Unconventional methods of predicting and treating heart disease (HD) are required because HD is still the top mortality on a global scale. This study delves into the potential of combining deep learning (DL) methods with IoMT devices to improve HD prediction and early diagnosis. Despite their usefulness, traditional risk assessment approaches can misrepresent the intricate relationship between cardiovascular risk factors. On the other hand, DL and ML algorithms can sift through mountains of data related to lifestyle, genetics, demographics, and clinical conditions to find complex relationships. To increase generalization performance across varied patient demographics and datasets, our study is focused on designing a novel DL architecture that is specialized for HD prediction. We optimize its design and hyperparameters. With feature engineering, when selecting features, we use linear discriminant analysis (LDA). In our work, two different DL techniques neural network and convolutional neural network (CNN) for HD identification are studied. We then evaluate the studied model’s efficacy with measures including recall, accuracy, precision, F1-score, and Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC). By attaining 96% accuracy, 97% precision, 95% specificity, 97% F1-score, and 93% MCC on chosen features, the experimental findings show that a one-dimensional (1-D) CNN performs better than other models. Our suggested method, which combines DL and IoMT, offers a powerful answer to the problems of real-time health monitoring and HD risk assessment, which in turn improves early intervention and tailors treatment plans to each patient. The findings of this study highlight the promise of cutting-edge AI-driven approaches to revolutionizing cardiovascular healthcare.

In this paper, a method has been proposed for user profiling based on tweeter data. The sentiments of the tweets are retrieved programmatically with the help of WordNet and News Paper Archive. In this experiment, the English WordNet 2.1 has been used as an online semantic dictionary and machine readable version of the "Times of India" news paper has been used to generate a news paper archive. The algorithm is tested on a data set of 1000 tweets from four different categories which are initially tagged by their innate senses for validation of the derived result. First of all, the data set is evaluated with the help of newspaper archive by using lexical overlap and the accuracy in sense retrieval task is 48.7%. The reason behind this scenario is the varieties of representations of a single statement in natural language which creates a mare similarity between the lexical entities of the statements. To overcome this problem, the contexts of the tweets are expanded with the help of WordNet by considering the synonyms of every meaningful word of the tweets and after that the senses of these tweets are evaluated. As the contexts of the statements are expanded in this approach, semantic relatedness between the statements is resolved in an efficient way which leads the system towards a better performance. © 2021 IEEE

Fake news on online platforms is spreading at a rapid rate, posing great threats to social, political, and economic stability in linguistically diverse regions like Kerala, India. This paper reviews comprehensively the techniques of fake news detection from traditional machine learning methods to transformer-based models. Special attention is given to the detection of fake news in regional languages like Malayalam, characterized by complex morphology and syntax. The study investigates applications of ensemble-based learning as well as state-of-the-art transformer models, BERT, and XLNet, focusing on their ability to capture nuanced linguistic features and contextual relationships. Evaluation results show how significantly better the transformer-based models fare than traditional methods with respect to accuracy and robustness. This review also captures current limitations - such as resource constraints for regional languages - as well as future opportunities in developing scalable, multilingual fake news detection systems.

Cardiac conditions are one of the leading causes of death worldwide. To address this, we designed a model that can detect cardiac conditions from a patient's electrocardiogram (ECG). This will convert the 1D ECG signal into a 2D scalogram using wavelet transforms with Morlet wavelets. With the help of a network based on the AlexNet convolutional neural network, it distinguishes between a normal ECG signal and one indicative of arrhythmia or congestive heart failure. The resulting model performs well, achieving a classification accuracy of 92.20% and providing a robust approach for detecting cardiac conditions.
