As the interest in large language models grows, the importance of accuracy in automatic speech recognition has become more pronounced. This is especially true for lectures that include specialized terminology. In such cases, the success rate of traditional ASR models tends to be low, presenting a significant challenge. A method using the word frequency difference approach has been proposed to improve ASR performance for specialized terminology. We investigated this proposal through experiments and data analysis to determine if it effectively addresses the issue. In addition, we introduced the power law as the theoretical foundation for the relative frequency methodology mentioned in this approach. © 2025 IEEE.

This study investigates the reduction of torque ripple in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) during open-circuit fault (OCF) conditions using an adaptive Proportional-Integral-Resonant (PIR) control approach. Torque ripples, commonly exacerbated by faults in motor operation, result in undesirable vibrations, noise, and mechanical stress, thereby impacting the motor’s performance and longevity. The proposed PIR control method integrates a resonant controller with a conventional PI-current controller to enhance torque ripple suppression during OCF operation. Experimental validation, conducted using a dSPACE DS1104 platform, focuses on reducing torque ripple during OCF events. The results show that the adaptive PIR control method significantly reduces torque ripples, thus promoting smoother motor operation, increased efficiency, and increased reliability under fault conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces an advanced approach to achieve real and reactive power control in grid-connected three-phase inverters under unbalanced grid conditions. A novel Proportional-Integral-Resonant (PIR) control strategy is proposed, aiming to address two primary objectives: maintaining balanced grid currents and point of common coupling voltages (PCC), while simultaneously injecting the grid with the desired real and reactive power. Comparative analyses with conventional Proportional-Integral (PI) and Proportional-Resonant (PR) controllers are conducted. The PI controller exhibits a better transient response and lower steady-state error compared to the PR controller. However, under unbalanced grid conditions, the PI controller exhibits oscillations in the real and reactive power output. In contrast, the PR controller effectively manages unbalanced situations and maintains power control. Thus, the proposed PIR method combines the advantages of both PI and PR controllers: superior transient response and lower steady-state error of PI, and effective handling of unbalanced conditions and power control of PR. The simulation and Hardwre’s experimental validation confirm the efficacy of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

Towalink is an open source solution for interconnecting multiple sites securely and flexibly. It is based on WireGuard and BGP. With central management of the site routers, it can be considered an "SD-WAN light". We explain the rationale and design decisions of the implementation and share the experiences of using the solution in a real-world setup with a complex topology. © 2022 IEEE.

Aluminum alloys are subjected to controlled stretching operation. For non-heat-treated plates of 1xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx, and 5xxx aluminum series, the aim is to obtain flatness, and for heat-treated plates (2xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx series alloys), to obtain the reduction of internal stresses induced by the solution heat treatment. The stretching operation supposes gripping both ends of the plate and pulling the plate in one direction. The initial normal efforts induced by the quenching process were obtained using the Deep-Hole Drilling method (DHD). The model was solved using finite element method (FEM) and the results were confirmed by industrial tests. © 2023, Politechnica University of Bucharest. All rights reserved.

In recent years, a significant number of deaths worldwide have been due to cancer diseases. Analysis of Microarray gene expressions and protein interaction data facilitates early cancer identification. The accurate prediction of information for thousands of genes is made possible by using DNA microarray technology. Protein-Protein Interactions (PPIs) are the crucial protein activities involved in the cell cycle that replicates the DNA and cellular signaling. Determining whether a pair of proteins interacts is crucial for diagnosing an illness in molecular biology is therefore important. In existing machine learning classifiers have two-class problem that is limited and only be used to solve binary class problems, additionally, they can be prone to overfitting, as the classification framework may also become too specialized to the training data and not generalized to the varied data. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes an ensemble machine learning technique;ensembling combines the strengths of both classifiers that allow more robust and accurate framework. The better combination of both Support Vector machine and Naïve Bayes ensemble provides better performance in terms of various performance parameters. The proposed SVM-NB Ensemble classifier outperforms the existing classifiers by 15-20% over various performance parameters like classification accuracy, time taken for classification, precision, recall, and F-measure. The results were drawn by comparing the proposed ensemble (SVM+NB) classifier with the existing most applied classifiers like Logistic Regression (LR), Support Vector Machine and Naive Bayes techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

Image Steganography is the artwork of concealing mystery data within the image such that the hacker will now no longer be capable of discover the records within inside the stego images. This is a useful approach to secure our sensitive information. Security has continually been a main difficulty from last many years to existing days. The topic of interest to researchers has long been the development of secure technologies for sending data to anyone other than the recipient without revealing it. Therefore, from nowadays, researchers have evolved many strategies to meet the steady transfer of information and steganography is one in all them. In this paper, we work on two techniques for hiding information in the image. First, we do analysis on LSB for storing information bit. As the technique is known to all, the attacker will be able to easily reveal the information, this makes image steganography unsecured. Secondly, R-Color Channel encoding with RSA set of rules for offering extra protection to information in addition to our information hiding approach. The proposed approach makes use of a red color channel for hiding information bits and the following bits for RGB pixel values of the original image. This paper present the performance analysis of two most popular algorithms, LSB and RSA along with image steganography.. © 2023 IEEE.

This work explores the deployment of active reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (A-RIS) in integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (TN-NTN) while utilizing coordinated multipoint non-orthogonal multiple access (CoMP-NOMA). Our system model incorporates a UAV-assisted RIS in coordination with a terrestrial RIS which aims for signal enhancement. We aim to maximize the sum rate for all users in the network using a custom hybrid proximal policy optimization (H-PPO) algorithm by optimizing the UAV trajectory, base station (BS) power allocation factors, active RIS amplification factor, and phase shift matrix. We integrate edge users into NOMA pairs to achieve diversity gain, further enhancing the overall experience for edge users. Exhaustive comparisons are made with passive RIS-assisted networks to demonstrate the superior efficacy of active RIS in terms of energy efficiency, outage probability, and network sum rate. © 2025 IEEE.

The proposed model aims to utilize Kalman filter-based time forecasting to predict the delay in flights at various airports. Specifically, the model considers five major airports in India, namely Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi, and assesses various parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, etc. to accurately forecast the actual time of take-off for upcoming flights. The model's performance is evaluated by comparing the predicted, estimated, and actual time of departure of flights at the airport. © 2023 IEEE.
