This paper describes our approach to submissions made at Shared Task 2 at BLP Workshop - Sentiment Analysis of Bangla Social Media Posts(Hasan et al., 2023a;Islam et al., 2021;Hasan et al., 2023b). Sentiment Analysis is an action research area in the digital age. With the rapid and constant growth of online social media sites and services and the increasing amount of textual data, the application of automatic Sentiment Analysis is on the rise. However, most of the research in this domain is based on the English language. Despite being the world’s sixth most widely spoken language, little work has been done in Bangla. This task aims to promote work on Bangla Sentiment Analysis while identifying the polarity of social media content by determining whether the sentiment expressed in the text is Positive, Negative, or Neutral. Our approach consists of experimenting and finetuning various multilingual and pre-trained BERT-based models on our downstream tasks and using a Majority Voting and Weighted ensemble model that outperforms individual baseline model scores. Our system scored 0.711 for the multiclass classification task and scored 10th place among the participants on the leaderboard for the shared task. This paper discusses the results of the statistical analysis of Punjabi syllables over a large Punjabi corpus. Syllables have been reported as good choice of speech unit for speech database of many languages. For this work also, syllables have been selected as the speech unit for the development of the Punjabi speech database. For minimizing the database size, efforts have been made for the selection of the minimal set of syllables covering almost whole Punjabi word set. For this all Punjabi syllables have been statistically analyzed on the Punjabi corpus having more than 104 million words. Interesting and very important results have been obtained from this analysis those helps to select a relatively smaller syllable set (about first ten thousand syllables (0.86% of total syllables)) of most frequently occurring syllables having cumulative frequency of occurrence (FOO) less than 99.81%, out of 1156740 total available syllables. Also to improve the efficiency of the text-to-speech (TTS) system;interesting facts about Punjabi syllables have been obtained based on their FOO at the three (starting, middle and end) positions in the words. indented.

Blindness is a very common and unendurable disability among many disabilities. According to a report from WHO, there are 285 million visually impaired people. This paper presents the idea of developing a smart system that can assist visually impaired people. Visual impairment is one of the main problems for humankind. Those people need assistance to perform day-to-day tasks. People can live a simpler and more efficient existence thanks to technological advancements. However, not everyone shared this sentiment, as some people with impairments, such as the blind, continue to suffer in life despite the availability of technology or smart devices to assist them. Here we are coming up with a system to help those people, to experience the surroundings by real-time interpretation in which the visually impaired people don't need another person to interpret. Our idea is a mobile application and visually impaired people can use their smartphones to interpret the real world. A voice-controlled smartphone application in which, upon a specific command, a visual is captured and processed back into a meaningful sentence. This text is then passed through a text-to-speech model which converts it into the language preferred by the user. As a way of interaction through voice input, our program employs voice user interface technology such as speech recognizing and speech synthesis. © 2021 IEEE.

Learning computer architecture has been a tough task for the learners. Sometimes it is not very effective when an architecture is learnt theoretically. Learning an architecture like RISC-V which has huge industrial interest has an additional benefit. The RISC-V instruction set architecture that is free to use was developed with flexibility and durability in mind. The adaptability of RISC-V enables a wide range of hardware implementations. Interests in Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is growing in recent times due to its feasibility, flexibility and efficiency. In this paper, we implemented an educational processor based on the RISC-V architecture on FPGA with support for interfacing intended for embedded applications. An assembler was also designed and developed which can convert assembly codes into RISC-V standard machine codes that can help the users to operate the CPU easily. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, interest in unmanned aerial vehicle as drones is increased, the utilization field has expanded. A FANET (Flying Ad-hoc Network) is a network for transferring data using unmanned aircraft in three-dimensional space, and a WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network) is a network formed around the human body. Until now, studies on the fusion of FANET and WBAN were not done much, therefore, in this study, as research on the fusion of WBAN and FANET, we study how to collect people's health data through the WBAN and transfer the collected data to a base station through the FANET. Specifically, we study a method for monitoring human-life disasters in areas that are vulnerable to communication difficulties, e.g., mountains and islands, and we design and implement an efficient data-transmission system. © 2016 SERSC.

Throughout this paper, the reader was able to better understand how innovative optimization techniques through NFV and SFC frameworks could and should be applied to address the developing and shifting focus of contemporary network infrastructures. Focusing on performance metrics performance via latency, throughput, resource utilization, and operational cost, the presented algorithms and machine learning models developed and executed due to this research showed innovative and dynamic optimization of network functions. Through further extensive simulations equalling 125 seconds, our findings reported creative results of improving performance in several significant areas: latency was reduced, throughput was enhanced, resource utilization was more efficient, and operational cost was reduced. These results indicated that our optimization strategies can pay off and bring a number of benefits to NFV and SFC that address a clear need for change in the current type of network management models. Therefore, this paper is valuable and serves as a testament of our strategies' power along with opening various doors for following network optimization research. Therefore, one can see how important it is to implement innovation in the face of change. © 2024 IEEE.

The need for naturalistic interaction and communication between humans and machines is essential for high-level artificial intelligence. Matured Natural Language Processing is the first step towards attaining artificial intelligence by automation equal to human beings. It has been a hot and active area of research among researchers for a long. In the advanced forms of natural language processing-based intelligent application building must-have capabilities of generating summaries, understanding context, representing and combining multiple information, and knowledge extraction. Artificial Intelligence and various computing ways (Statistical Reasoning, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning) for achieving it, have been proven the next big weapon for attaining a true sense of intelligent automation and smart system building. Many tasks related to natural language processing have shown consistent and comparable high performances since the introduction of deep learning modelling. Using sequence-to-sequence models has been advantageous and demonstrated promising outcomes in many other areas, including machine translation, speech recognition, picture captioning, etc. This paper aims to propose a novel framework to extract important features from an unstructured text by removing the noisy, irrelevant, and redundant components, and to provide accountability for the information delivered by retrieving image-based text, deep text summarization by knowledge weight calculation, and representation- based on the extracted features. © 2023 IEEE.

This Paper makes a comparison between the Superconductor Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) and Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) in terms of fault ride through capability improvement of a fixed speed wind generator system. The performance, controller complexity, and cost are considered as criteria for comparison between the mentioned two devices. Simulations are performed using Matlab/Simulink software, where the tested system consists of one synchronous generator and one squirrel cage induction machine based wind generator, which feed an infinite bus through a double circuit transmission line. Simulation results show that both the DVR and SFCL perform well, however, the DVR has better fault ride through capability than the SFCL, and is more efficient in reducing the fluctuations of voltage, power, and speed of the wind generator. In addition, the DVR helps wind generators keep voltage sag within the grid code requirement with lower cost as compared to the SFCL. © 2014 IEEE.

Recognition of Bengali sign language characters is crucial for facilitating communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing population in Bengali-speaking regions, which encompass approximately 430 million people worldwide. Despite the significant number of individuals requiring this support, research on Bengali sign language character recognition remains underdeveloped. This article presents a novel approach to categorize Bengali sign language characters using the Ishara-Lipi dataset, based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and pretrained models. We evaluated our approach using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrices. Our findings indicate that the CNN model achieved the highest performance with an accuracy of 98%, followed by VGG19 with 94% and ResNet variants achieving around 88%. The proposed model demonstrates robust and efficient classification capabilities, significantly bridging the gap in existing literature. This study holds substantial promise for enhancing assistive technology, thereby improving social inclusion and quality of life for Bengalispeaking deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. © 2024 IEEE.
