Swarm Intelligence (SI) algorithms address difficult optimization and decision-making issues using cues from collective behavior. These behaviors are inspired by social creatures like ants, bees, and birds. Using these creatures' behaviors algorithms have demonstrated amazing promise in several fields, such as distributed computing, robotics, and optimization. Assessing SI algorithms' performance under various conditions and scenarios is still a significant difficulty, though. We introduce a new Swarm Intelligence Algorithm Performance Analysis Simulator (SIAPAS) to tackle this issue. This proposed simulator introduces a novel approach to automating the process of selection for Swarm Intelligence (SI) algorithms on datasets. The system empowers users to upload datasets into a specialized simulator, which then orchestrates a comparative analysis using a suite of SI algorithms. The simulator evaluates and selects the most suitable algorithm based on the dataset's characteristics and problem domain. This provides the optimal selected features by the respective algorithms based on measured parameters. © 2024 IEEE.

Globally, heart disease poses a significant challenge to public health. Early identification is crucial for effectively managing and treating heart conditions. Machine learning has shown promising results in predicting medical problems for the past few years. In this study, A system was developed that is capable of detecting cardiovascular diseases using machine learning methods. The project consists of Data loading, Exploratory data analysis, preprocessing, training, evaluation and storage. A dataset was introduced that contained an array of characteristics related to the cardiovascular health status (such as age, gender, cholesterol level.). However, training measured the accuracy of 3 algorithms: K Nearest Neighbours (KNN), Decision Tree, and Random Forest in identifying heart ailment. The article also returns an ensemble graph that considers the forecasts of both these models together, saving the best GNB model for future use. Results showed that the machine learning methods are proficient in heart problem identification, as in this hybrid model, with a 97.32% accuracy rate. © 2024 IEEE.

Deepfake technology, known for its ability to produce convincingly face-swapped videos, presents significant risks to privacy, security, and public trust. Misuse of this technology for spreading misinformation, defamation, and influencing politics is on the rise, creating a pressing need for more effective detection mechanisms. As deepfake generation methods continue to advance, conventional detection techniques are increasingly unable to keep up, often falling short in accuracy and adaptability. This project aims to create an AI-driven detection system specialized in identifying face-swap deepfakes. The system focuses on subtle irregularities in facial details, movements, and the synchronization between audio and visuals. Employing neural network models such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, and Capsule Networks, it pinpoints anomalies like unnatural expressions, atypical skin textures, and lighting inconsistencies. The system achieves high reliability with metrics including accuracy (96%), precision (95%), recall (94%), and F1 score (95%), showing marked improvement compared to traditional techniques. It outperforms existing methods such as XceptionNet (92%) on the Celeb-DF dataset, underscoring its superior generalizability and robustness. This scalable solution has broad applications in media, law enforcement, and cybersecurity, reinforcing efforts to combat deepfake threats and fostering improved trust and security across various sectors. © 2025 IEEE.

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the leading causes of deaths globally, mainly in low- and middle-income countries. Early and accurate detection is crucial for effective treatment and disease control. In this paper, models like CNNs-VGG16, ResNet, and DenseNet, to name a few, are taken into an exhaustive study. Optimization techniques, including transfer learning and ensemble methods, which can increase accuracy in the challenging diverse clinical settings, will be presented. Equitable healthcare outcome is achieved in terms of future research directions which include representative datasets and interpretability of the model. © 2025 IEEE.

Ridesharing systems have become an important part of urban transportation. At the same time, electric vehicle (EV) adoption is also growing at a fast pace as an eco-friendly and sustainable transportation option. To operate a ridesharing system with EV fleets, scheduling an EV fleet to serve passenger requests requires consideration of both the requests, and the available charge and potential future charge requirements of the EVs. In this paper, we address the problem of scheduling EVs by a ridesharing operator, and propose four algorithms that schedule passenger requests while taking into consideration charging requirements of the EVs. People frequently find it straightforward to identify insects that feed on cabbage plants based on the insects' characteristics. However, challenges arise when employing a computer for precise bug categorization and identification. The implementation of Deep Learning (DL) utilizes the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) technique, renowned for its effectiveness in categorizing and recognizing objects in digital photo data. The CNN algorithm delivers notable results in photo identification, simulating the human visual brain's image recognition through artificial neural networks in the Python programming language. To enrich the user experience, frameworks like Keras and TensorFlow are employed in neural network development. Our research will use the CNN algorithm to determine insect species in cabbage images. Achieving high accuracy involves coupling the CNN algorithm with the VGGNet architectural model. Notably, utilizing an epoch value of 150 resulted in a 97.75% accuracy rate during the training model technique;however, the validation accuracy was slightly lower at 94.25%. The corresponding loss and validation rates were 0.0613% and 0.2945%, respectively. Moreover, based on the model (150 epochs), the testing outcomes in the study, involving 48 images beyond the dataset and incorporating additional information, resulted in an accuracy rate of 91.66%. © 2024 IEEE.

The uncontrolled growth of skin cells in the epidermis producing the creation of a mass termed a tumor is a dangerous condition known as skin cancer. Current developments in deep learning artificial intelligence have greatly improved image-based diagnosis. In this study, we included a Skin Lesion Cancer feature extractor Convolutional Neural Network (SLC-CNN) model, which is used for both classification with the SVM classifier and segmentation with XGBoost for skin cancer. In our proposed system, a test image of skin cancer is taken and pre-processed for both classification and segmentation purposes. After applying pre-processing, the test image features are extracted using the SLC-CNN feature extractor, which features are used in SVM to classify the types of skin cancer (Benign and Malignant), and based on the classification result, a trained XGBoost model is called to segment the cancer region. We have tested our system using the dermoscopy image collection from the International Skin Imaging Collaboration (ISIC) and built it in Google Colab to best use the GPU. Our suggested approach has gained a segmentation accuracy of 95.25% and a classification accuracy of 99.6%. © 2025 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

With the growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) as an eco-friendly and sustainable means of transportation, availability of adequate EV charging infrastructure has become very important. While fixed charging stations are the primary means for public charging, they can be effectively augmented by mobile charging stations. In this paper, we address the problem of planning and operating a mobile charging station fleet by an operator. We propose an algorithm for the operator to use for route planning of the MCSs and for scheduling charging requests of EVs to them to try to maximize the number of charging requests served. Oral health is vital to overall well-being but is often overlooked due to inefficient monitoring tools and delayed diagnosis. This project presents a smart handheld device featuring a miniaturized camera for detecting oral issues like plaque, cavities, teeth discoloration and gum diseases in real-time. Using image processing and deep learning algorithms, the device provides precise feedback and actionable insights. Paired with a mobile application offering detailed analysis and recommendations, it empowers users to adopt proactive oral hygiene practices to prevent teeth disorder. © 2025 IEEE.

Automated Number Plate Recognition is one of the most important applications of computer vision, employed in the enforcement of traffic law, vehicular management, security, and even at toll collection. This paper proposed an advanced system for ANPR that can move away from the traditional booth and establish a checkpoint. The strategically located cameras with checkpointing will automatically capture the plates of passing vehicles, permitting road tax and parking fees to be deducted without making contact. A hybrid approach that combines the capabilities of OpenCV, Tesseract OCR, and deep-learningbased OCR models helps tackle such challenges as stable images from live video feeds and highly accurate text recognition. To this end, since the system integrates high-resolution frame stabilization using OpenCV to ensure crystal clear captures, it further employs the use of YOLOv8 to boost the precision of real-time detection. The blockchain technology is further implemented to ensure that transactions are tamper proof, therefore ensuring secure and transparent billing systems. This makes the ANPR solution deployable on edge devices, which opens real-time processing capabilities for high-speed and high-volume environments, thereby offering a scalable and efficient approach for intelligent transportation and smart city applications. © 2025 IEEE.
