As a result of the increased density of automobiles with population growth in the modern world, several problems have arisen, including road congestion and air pollution due to emissions from vehicles, along with increased rates of accidents. This is very true for underdeveloped countries where activity monitoring is very difficult. This paper presents a smart traffic monitoring system utilizing some state-of-the-art computer vision methodologies with aerial drone footage. The high-resolution cameras on drones take pictures of the traffic flow, which after processing with YOLOv8 and ResNet50 algorithms for vehicle recognition, showed a 97% and 91% accuracy of identification rate, respectively. Besides, the application of a time series by LSTM and GRUs has performed well in predicting the flow of traffic. Among them, the LSTM model had an MSE of 20.98%, while RMSE accuracy in that produced by GRU was 0.943%. This integrated system will contribute to improving traffic monitoring, congestion identification, and real-time data provision for traffic management. Its future enhancement will enable it to recognize vehicle license plates to facilitate better law and order and surveillance action on the ground. © 2024 IEEE.

Air pollution is a global issue of concern. Accurate prediction of the air quality index (AQI) plays a crucial role in understanding pollution patterns and implementing effective mitigation strategies. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on the application of ensemble learning techniques for AQI prediction, aiming to enhance prediction accuracy and provide insights into the driving factors behind pollution levels. The primary objective is to conduct a comparative analysis of homogenous ensemble method, namely, bagging in conjunction with individual base models, such as multiple linear regression, support vector regression, decision trees, and artificial neural networks. In total we have created 4 non-ensembled models and 4 ensembled models. Additionally, the research investigates the importance of different features in AQI prediction models, aiming to identify the key factors influencing air pollution. Hyperparameter tuning is done to optimize the models. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is a viable solution for applications that require minimal delay and have high computational demands on mobile devices (MD). This study used the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method to find the best offloading ratio, bandwidth allocation, and transmission power to cut down on the overall execution delay in MEC system. We here chose the PSO considering its rapid and effective ability to identify solutions that are close to the optimal solution. In different situations, the simulation results showed that fitness values and overall execution delay decreased significantly. This showed that PSO could keep performing consistently and efficiently in different settings. The findings indicated that PSO is an effective optimization strategy for computational offloading in MEC systems, enhancing performance by minimizing delay. © 2024 IEEE.

With growth in technology, hacking and cyberattacks have increased hence the importance of network security. They also do not cease to invent new ways of penetrating the network, hence the need to install measures such as the IDS. This paper deals with improvement of IDS by combining signature based and anomaly based detection on packet data in Zeek (previously known as Bro). Autoencoder method focuses on the finding of intrusion in the network traffic while the signatures based method on the detection of known threat by matching the traffic with the existing signatures. This two-pronged approach is expected to enhance the chances of accurate detection while at the same time mitigating on the possibilities of having false alarms. The experiments showed that the average percent of accuracy to be nearly 88%, which proved that the system is capable of detecting both established and novel threats. The results showed that the anomaly-based method could successfully identify new threats with minimum number of false alarms and the signature based approach could locate the known threats perfectly. Altogether, these methods add more layers of protection to the network against today's ever-changing threats. © 2024 IEEE.

Solar irradiance is the energy per unit area received by the Sun as electromagnetic radiation. It is one of the most important renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic or other solar technologies are used to generate power more accurately than direct sun irradiation. Solar irradiance research and measurement have a variety of critical applications, including forecasting power generation from solar power plants, climate modeling, and weather forecasting. This paper presents a neural network-based system identification model developed using measured parameters from solar panels with various wattage specifications, namely, 10W, 20W, 40W, and 100W. The parameters that were measured to train the ANN model for the prediction of the output current and voltage include the angle of panel orientation, panel temperature, ambient temperature, irradiance, and wattage. Several training experiments were conducted and the best ANN model produced at 500 epochs gave an accuracy of 99.81% and a loss of 0.1940. The model was deployed into an intelligent Web App that was also developed in this study. This app could be a potential tool for renewable energy engineers and researchers. © 2023 IEEE.

Intimate partner violence is still a relevant topic in modern societies all over the world. which requires constant activities for the purpose of treatment and prevention. It is equally important to grasp attitudes of the public towards domestic violence as well as the overall attitude that is spread in the society. vital when it comes to identifying specific approaches to address the concerns and influence the population. discourse. Based on the context defined above, this paper aims to present a sentiment analysis solution. designed especially for the purpose of analyzing the posts that fall under the category of domestic. violence. By using the never-ending stream of data in the use of business applications, it is possible to increase accountability of employee productivity. For this purpose, we follow our method on Twitter to offer the corresponding insights into public. concerning this sensitive issue, the ideas and feelings people have towards it are as follows: topic. First of all, we gather a large amount of tweets containing tweets containing the relevant keywords about domestic violence employing the Twitter Application Programming Interface. Next, in order to manipulate the text data we have, we require processing it to remove noise, tokenizetion, and apply techniques such as stemming, lemmatization or both. to standardize the text. Subsequently, we employ stateof-the-art analysis - which is performed with the help of some specific algorithms for sentiment analysis maybe based on deep learning. models like, for instance, recurrent neural networks or transformers. architectures as BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations derived from Transformers to transcribe the tweet into a certain category of 'positive', 'negative' or 'neutral' sentiment. positive, negative, or neutral © 2024 IEEE.

Retinal image classification is vital for the early diagnosis and management of various ocular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Traditional machine learning approaches face significant challenges in adapting to evolving datasets, often requiring periodic retraining, which can lead to the loss of previously learned knowledge due to a phenomenon known as catastrophic forgetting. To address this issue, we propose a novel approach utilizing continual learning techniques. Our framework allows for the continuous incorporation of new retinal image data while preserving previously acquired knowledge, thereby mitigating the effects of catastrophic forgetting. By integrating advanced continual learning algorithms, our method ensures that the model can adapt to new data without sacrificing the accuracy of previous classifications. We validate our approach through extensive experiments on benchmark retinal image datasets, demonstrating that it achieves superior classification accuracy compared to conventional methods. This enhanced performance highlights the effectiveness of continual learning in maintaining high accuracy and adaptability in retinal image classification systems, offering a promising solution for the dynamic nature of retinal data and significantly improving diagnostic capabilities and patient outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

This study aims to identify the density of vehicles and non-vehicles at the Zero Point Yogyakarta intersection based on GPS data. The data in this study comes from one of the telecommunication operator companies in Indonesia with active MPD data criteria. The data was collected from telecommunication service users who consciously activated their location services, during the period from November 2021 to January 2022. Zero-Point Intersection in Yogyakarta was chosen because of its high density, historical value, and location in the center of Yogyakarta and as a tourist destination. In this study, GPS data was processed, using a rules-based approach to categorize users into vehicle and non-vehicle groups based on speed, distance, mobility time, and duration of time at the intersection. The results of the analysis show that the highest density occurred in November 2021, with a higher number of vehicles and non-vehicles during the day than at night. The decrease in density was seen in December 2021 and continued until January 2022, due to movement restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data shows that the number of nonvehicle users is higher than that of vehicles, especially during the day. The rule-based method used in this study succeeded in distinguishing between vehicles and non-vehicles, as well as providing an understanding of mobility patterns at the Zero Point intersection in Yogyakarta. The study shows that the use of GPS technology and rule-based data analysis can enhance ongoing research on traffic management efficiency in congested urban areas. © 2024 IEEE.

The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques has been prevalent in various applications and the gradual increase in implementation towards healthcare sectors has scaled up. computer aided diagnosis has emerged as a major research area directed toward efficient use of resources. Fracture of bone has been a popular health problem associated with risk for mortality. Fractures are frequent in the long bones or the weight-bearing bones. AI techniques to accurately detect and classify fractures are still a challenging task beyond the conventional methods. Our objective is to assess the effectiveness of multiple algorithms in identifying and categorizing ankle fractures using radiological images. This review paper focuses on several available approaches of Deep-Learning (DL) and Machine-Learning (ML) regarding Ankle Fracture Classification and Identification based on Radiological Images for Medical Applications. The goal is to assist physicians and orthopaedics with simple and realistic decision support systems. In addition to a comprehensive analysis of the research, this study looked at several real-world examples of AI applications in the healthcare industry. Consequently, it is critical to have a fundamental grasp of these ML and DL algorithms to be ready for upcoming advancements in AI. We have reviewed and classified scientific conference and journal articles used for various AI techniques and offer future utility as a comparative analysis for further research in healthcare sectors. © 2024 IEEE.
