Weeds are problems for crop yields because they exert harmful effects on the yields by competing with cultivated crops for necessary resources like nutrients, sunlight, and soil. As a result, continual attempts are being made to create safer and more effective herbicide formulations. For precision weeding and to reduce pesticide pollution, segmenting weeds in photos is extremely important. However, weeds and crops are comparable in the field setting, making it challenging to precisely segregate weed from intricate field photos. A deep learning-based system for segmenting weeds from photos was proposed in this paper. This algorithm can distinguish between weeds and crops and soil in photos. Utilizing a condensed U-net, this semantic segmentation method was created. An image augmentation strategy was suggested because image tagging for the semantic segmentation of weeds is challenging. The classification algorithms used in the modified U-Net are Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forrest (RF) and Decision Tree (DT). These were also used for predicting the weed part in a sample image before their segmentation. The threshold accuracy for segmenting the image using to be around 51.85% with a segmentation time of approximately 01.02 ms whereas our modified U-Netis obtained 91.03% accuracy and the segmentation time of 50.35ms. The results showed the modified U-Net successfully differentiated weeds from images with numerous other plants. This study seeks to demonstrate that the weed-associated image segmentation technique is effectively identifying and separating weeds in intricate field conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

We propose a novel visualization system to enhance soccer passing practice by providing potential pass courses and their scores. The proposed system is based on a first-person video footage captured during soccer play and extracts frames for pass-course suggestions using the rate of ground-surface pixels in the frame and dept. estimation. Possible pass courses were scored according to their direction and distance to the closest player. To validate the proposed method's effectiveness, we conducted a series of experiments involving 17 participants, comprising 12 museum visitors and five university students. The estimated score of visualized pass courses using the proposed method was generally successful, whereas some pass courses received lower scores from participants owing to limitations in the system's ability to accurately detect the color of players' uniforms, which affected the overall evaluation of certain passing options. © 2024 IEEE.

Specific Language Impairment (SLI) in children, a neurodevelopmental disorder presenting significant hurdles in language acquisition. Motivated by the prevalence and complexity of SLI diagnosis, this article introduces an methodology using Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) and chroma features combined with the XGBoost algorithm for classification. By analyzing a diverse dataset encompassing both SLI-diagnosed and non SLI children, the proposed model achieves efficiency of 99.3% accuracy on unseen data. Notably, the model’s strategic feature selection and utilization of XGBoost demonstrate superior performance compared to existing methods, highlighting its importance in SLI diagnosis and intervention planning. This work significantly advances machine learning-based diagnostic tools and holds promise for improving the quality of life for individuals impacted by SLI. ©2024 IEEE.

Data mining technology plays a crucial role in the area of data analysis. Mining frequent episodes stands out as a pivotal task within this domain, enabling users to forecast future events based on present occurrences. Conventional methods for discovering frequent episodes typically follow a hierarchical approach, involving the generation of candidate episodes and subsequent scanning of sequence data to count their frequency, which can be quite time-consuming, as it necessitates repeated scans of the sequence data and the search for candidate episodes. In this paper, we introduce a novel approach for episode mining in a data stream. Our method distinguishes itself by scanning newly added data to update existing frequent episodes, all without the need for scanning the original data or searching for candidate episodes. The experiments also show that our approach is more efficient compared to other existing methods. © 2024 IEEE.

During the last few decades there is a tremendous growth in the information and communication technology wherein many organizations are making use of the hardware and software for various applications. Marking the attendance of a student in the school or college as well as the presence of the employee in the workplace is to be either captured or manually marked in the registers. Performing various analyses by taking the manual input is cumbersome because the number of students in the class or number of employees in the organizations are increasing. To overcome the difficulties of managing the things manually in this paper we are proposing an automated tool to capture the presence of the student in the specific location. This paper proposes a novel approach to mark the presence of a student in the college premises. The tool developed here is an Android Application (App) wherein the students can send the details to the App. Two modules are proposed here, one for the student and another for the Administrator. Through the student module, each student can login to the App and capture the self-image and send it to the Administrator Module. The captured image comprises the GPS details like Longitude, Latitude, Time, and date information. The information sent through the App determines the location of the student whether the student is in the college premise such as Class room, Laboratory and Library. The application which is managed by the teacher or the administrator or proctor will get the details about the student's image, GPS locations such as latitude, longitude, date and time. The mobile app verifies the GPS location and image of the student and compares it with the database. If the captured information matches with the appropriate GPS location then the students attendance is marked as present in that particular duration and appropriate files are updated. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Image feature extraction and matching constitute fundamental steps in computer vision and image analysis, enabling various applications ranging from object recognition to scene reconstruction. Object recognition is one of the major applications of artificial intelligence. Since last two decades, different techniques for object recognition were given by researchers from across the world. This paper presents a novel approach for automatic target recognition in autonomous weapons by matching connected graph of feature pixels. The Moving and Stationary Target Acquisition and Recognition (MSTAR) is taken for experimental purpose. The Proposed model has three stages for a target recognition;Image Denoising, Feature extraction & graph generation, and feature matching. Firstly, a sample image of targets taken from the MSTAR is taken as an input. Further, input sample is de-noised and features are extracted using Speeded-Up Robust Features (SURF) algorithm. Thereafter, a graph is created using feature pixels and this complete process is repeated with test image. Further, both graphs are compared using a proposed feature graph matching algorithm which results an recognition accuracy score. Proposed model is tested over the MSTAR dataset and it resulted in varying accuracy at different feature matching thresholds. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

In today's rapidly changing digital world, security and trust remain as an essential element supporting a range of communications, transactions, and distributed systems. With the invention of blockchain technology, a trust may now be provided as 'Trust as a Service (TaaS),' a decentralized, verifiable, and essential asset rather than a centralized digital network. In a decentralized and distributed ledger network, the blocks are connected in chronological order, and information is saved using distributed ledger techniques. Since the start of the deployment, blockchain has kept a record of all transactions. This research study analyses the explores the blockchain technology and analyze how it functions as a trusted provider across a range of industries. Also, this study investigates the fundamental ideas behind blockchain, its development, and the cryptographic security systems. This research study illustrates how blockchain maintains confidence in data quality, security, transparency, and immutability across a range of applications, including banking, supply chain, healthcare, and governance. This study also emphasizes the difficulties and possibilities present in the rapidly developing blockchain ecosystem and further discusses about the issues and challenges and various blockchain attacks, solutions, and tools. Facial emotion detection is a very relevant research domain, having its applications in a wide diversified field of topics that include statistical analysis, the social sciences, and computer vision. Developing methods for machines that can recognize and interpret human emotions in real-time has been revolutionary for improving human-computer interactions, enhancing security systems, and helping with substantial insights from psychological studies. In this paper, it is proposed to develop a new model of emotion recognition where emotions through facial images will be classified based on seven different emotional features. Taking grayscale photos from a dataset called fer2013, we train a Convolutional Neural Network for the purpose of identifying these emotions. As far as the approach applied in this paper is concerned, the process of emotion identification is basically divided into three major phases: face detection, feature extraction, and emotion classification. We tried different dept.s and layers of CNNs, achieving as high an accuracy as 89.98%, which has huge potential for deep learning in advancing FER technologies. The contribution with this research is to developing efforts on more intuitive and responsive AI systems that can understand and respond to human emotions in an emotional sense. © 2024 IEEE.

This study centers on enhancing the accurateness of coupon recommendation algorithms within the framework of in-vehicle settings. The In-Vehicle Coupon Recommendation dataset from the UCI Repository was utilized in this study. A range of machine learning algorithms, such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Extra Trees, LightGBM, XGBoost, AdaBoost, Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), and CatBoost, were employed for analysis. Among the several algorithms considered, CatBoost exhibited notable performance, with a baseline accuracy of 74%. In order to improve the efficacy of the model, we utilized the 'Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique' (SMOTE) to mitigate the issue of class imbalance. This was subsequently followed by a thorough hyperparameter adjustment of the CatBoost algorithm. The improved model demonstrated a significant upgrade, with an accuracy rate of 77%. Additionally, there were noteworthy improvements in precision, recall, and F1 score. The AUC, which represents the Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve, saw a notable improvement to 0.82. This signifies a noteworthy enhancement in the capacity to differentiate between positive and negative cases. The results emphasize the efficacy of CatBoost in the context of recommending coupons within vehicles, while also drawing attention to the influence of preprocessing methods and hyperparameter adjustment in enhancing the model's overall performance. This study is a valuable contribution to the domain of personalized advertising in the context of vehicles, providing valuable insights for the advancement of coupon recommendation systems that are more precise and dependable. © 2023 IEEE.

Dealing with missing data is necessary to develop a solid predictive medical research model. This work presents a hybrid dynamic imputation method devoted to addressing the challenge of missing data, specifically focusing on medical datasets. In this work, we investigate the incompleteness of the dataset using a sophisticated measure called the Incompleteness Factor. This metric is used to guide a hybrid dynamic approach. A novel Transformer-based Self-Supervised imputation method is employed to learn complex data dependencies to impute missing data. This paper introduces one potential solution to obtain model-level accuracy increase for tasks like disease prediction, patient prognosis, etc., over medical datasets. The proposed method aims to remove the measurement biases caused by incompleteness and preprocess the data to enhance the credibility and clinical relevance of the experimental results. © 2024 IEEE.
