To directly investigate the dynamic nanoscale phenomenon on the surface being processed in wet conditions such as precision polishing, and cleaning in semiconductor industrial, an optical method for visualization and observation of each sub-100 nm sized particle that is moving on an interface such as a silica glass surface by applying an evanescent field have been proposing. Subsequently, we developed an experimental apparatus equipped with an optical microscopy system for verifying the moving particle observation method in a laboratory scale. This article introduces some experimentally direct observation results of duplicated wet processes. © 2024 IEEE.

Radar-based methods for contactless pulse monitoring typically use heart rate estimation accuracy as the primary performance evaluation metric. Recently, more in-dept. metrics such as heart rate variability (HRV) have been of interest, requiring precise pulse waveform reconstructions for reliable estimations. Traditional phase variation-based vital signs signal processing techniques have proven to be susceptible to sources of noise, impacting the shape of the extracted pulse waveform. In this work, the advantages of using raw multi-channel radar data and deep learning in an end-to-end manner for precise pulse waveform reconstruction are explored. Preliminary results show electrocardiogram (ECG) waveforms can be reconstructed from raw in-phase and quadrature 60 GHz multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar data using an end-to-end neural network. Additionally, an ablation study is performed, revealing that waveform reconstruction similarity and estimation accuracy of several HRV metrics generally improve as the number of utilized MIMO channels increases. © 2025 IEEE.

In the realm of online learning and distance education, the issue of inadequate supervision looms large, posing a significant obstacle. This paper delves into the challenges posed by the lack of supervision in online learning environments and proposes an innovative solution to understand and recognize students' behaviors. This study's primary objective is to detect and recognize students' actions in images captured through webcam. This task distinguishes itself from the well-established video-based student action recognition domain, which relies on temporal cues. Recognizing student actions from images intensifies the complexity of the problem. To meet this challenge, a novel deep learning model named AdaptSepCX Attention, specifically designed for student action recognition in online learning environments, is introduced. The proposed method exhibits exceptional performance with 92.73% validation accuracy on the Student Online Action Image dataset (SOAId), a carefully curated collection comprising 2029 student-centric images. The proposed model outperforms well-established models such as DenseNet121, NASNet Mobile, ConvXNet, DELVS1 and MobileNetV2 in student action recognition. Action recognition for students has broader implications beyond the online classroom. It has the potential to revolutionize educational technology, making online learning more interactive and engaging. Enabling machines to understand and respond to student actions enhances education, personalizes learning, and supports students' academic success and well-being. This research enhances the understanding of student involvement in online learning and offers an effective solution for recognizing actions from images. © 2024 The Authors. The Real-Time Traffic Prediction and Optimization System may be described as enriched, spacious, algorithm-oriented, and designed to help contribute to the anti-symptomatic deprievement of increasingly congested urban traffic streams. The system with the help of integrating real time data of numerous sources like GPS tracker, traffic sensor as well as weather API, the system using advanced machine learning algorithm in order to predict traffic accurately and optimize routes based on it. This predictive capability then greatly improves the flow of vehicles, the time taken, and the occurrence of choke points. The structure of the system is fully based in the cloud, which makes it easy to scale and very compatible with other systems to amalgamate a vast array of data inputs with high dependability. Fully customizable and intuitive control panel gives live view of traffic, offers actionable stats, and instant control mechanisms to traffic operators to make correct decisions quickly. Congestion in urban areas has an influence on time taken to cover a certain distance, fuel consumption and emission to the atmosphere. On the basis of the above analysis, this work extends a Real-Time Traffic Prediction and Optimization System (RTPOPS) using machine learning approach to predict the traffic density and to further optimize traffic signals and routes. The used system demonstrated successful management and reduction of vehicle density by 30%, and increasing speed limits by 18% and proved that Intelligent Urban Mobility has the potential to be achieved. © 2025 IEEE.

AI and EdTech are transforming education by making it more accessible, personalized, and assessable, even in low and middle income countries (LMICs) facing resource constraints. However, challenges come with unequal access, issues in data privacy, and bias in AI model creations. As AI continues to become more popular, the issue of whether the work made by the students will be original. This paper focuses on the impact of artificial intelligence on learning in both its ethical and practical dimensions while highlighting the themes of inclusivity, fairness, and authenticity. Guidelines and policies for responsible AI in integration will be proposed further, alongside teacher training. Results should depict that this moral framework, policies, and teacher education should aid in ensuring that the implications of AI are positive and fruitful for learning. Ideal AI guidelines would foster an educational system that is inclusive, transparent, and considers uniqueness and innovation. © 2025 IEEE.

Kindergarten education has a very important role in shaping the foundation of child development. For parents, see reports on the achievement of children's development at school through the results of each semester's assessment. The process of preparing teacher assessments uses 4 types of assessments, one of which is anecdotal record assessment. However, teachers experience problems in analyzing the topics in children's anecdotal notes so that the results become less clear. In addition, it is still done manually so it takes a long time to analyze. Assessment of children's anecdotal notes is an assessment in the form of a record of events that occur to children while at school. Anecdotal notes are in the form of text data, therefore this research aims to find out the topics in children's anecdotal notes data by utilizing topic modeling using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method. The children's anecdotal notes data is used as one dataset with a total of 276 collected directly from YBPK Sidorejo Kindergarten, after which data preprocessing is carried out in the form of case folding, remove punctuation, tokenizing, stopwords, and stemming. In the LDA topic modeling research using the Gensim library, 5 experiments were carried out by determining the number of different iterations, and displaying a range of 2-10 topics for each experiment. Analysis and evaluation using coherence score to determine the optimal number of topics by looking at the highest coherence score value in the experiment conducted. The analysis results in 3 topics with a coherence score of 0.4704 and 40 iterations or passes. © 2024 IEEE.

Recommender systems enhance the user experience by integrating factual and behavioral practices, enhancing learning strategies, and granting academic opportunities based on learners subjective interests. Cognitive intelligence, a learner's capability to interpret and synthesize cognitive abilities, is crucial to assemble effective recommendations. However, a student encounters diverse adversities in his or her academic life, whether it is his or her academic pacers or outward circumstances. As a result, a learner consequently experienced severe academic setbacks. Thus, this paper proposes a novel approach to identify cognitive deficits of learners in a school or college before recommending any scholastic content or pertaining in any academic activity. We have employed a modified Bi-directional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU) method in conjunction with Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm (SFLA). Our approach overcomes some of the shortcomings of conventional Bi-GRU method in choosing the right scaling parameters during training. Bi-GRU method is opted for detecting the cognitive deficits of a learner and SFLA is applied over Bi-GRU in order to hyper-Tune the parameters. The proposed method is compared with a few cutting-edge methods, and the experimental result outperforms the other methods in training, validation, and testing accuracies, achieving 99.34%, 98.98%, and 99.19% respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Mild cognitive impairments (MCI) develop in adults due to the normal aging process and may sometimes progress to a more serious cognitive decline stage resulting in Dementia. If the cognitive decline is identified at the MCI stage, it can be delayed or prevented from progressing by different interventions. A typical indicator of cognitive impairments that might be caused due to an injury, aging, or other factors is found to be a decreased search efficiency in visual search tasks. Here we propose a model to assess this efficiency by designing a digitized, easy-to-use visual search task capable of incorporating multiple variables in the visual stimulus, affecting the search capabilities. The variables under consideration include the number of distracting elements, target size, target distance from the center of the stimulus area, and habituation effects. This designed stimulus is tested on participants from different age groups. © 2024 IEEE.

It takes a lot of work to gather a large amount of data to help in criminal investigation and prevention of crimes. The most effective methods for reporting crimes are insufficient for both civilians and law enforcement. The police and witness narrative summaries are frequently deemed to be too lengthy to read. Hence, there exists many research works that represents summary of those descriptive reports. But to make it easier, there should be certain phrases or words so that Police investigators can quickly understand criminal scenarios saving them from having to read the entire report. This can be accomplished with the use of criminal information extraction. Here, the proposed study uses a graph-based methodology and natural language processing techniques to extract crimerelated keywords from in-dept. police and witness narrative descriptions. Initially, the suggested work selected nouns, verbs, and adjectives from the crime reports and evaluated their importance scores. Based on the words' importance scores, a graph partitioning technique has been applied;following repeated runs of the algorithm, the words are classified into clusters. Each cluster in this instance, together with the words that reside within it, represent a different aspect of crime. These clustered words are considered as the keywords for representing the crime. © 2024 IEEE.

Capturing market sentiments and supporting well-informed financial decision-making depend on the developing field of Financial Sentiment Analysis (FSA). Natural language processing (NLP) has made significant strides in comprehending and categorizing sentiment in intricate financial texts, especially with the use of Large Language Models (LLMs). The application of various LLMs, such as Bidirectional Encoder Representations form Transformers(BERT) and Financial BERT (FinBERT), as well as distilled models, such as DistilBERT and DistilRoBERTa, on a variety of financial datasets, including Financial Phrase Bank and LexisNexis news articles, was the main focus of this review article. highlighting different approaches such as model fine-tuning, zero-shot and few-shot learning, and prompt engineering. The study focuses on practical model predictions through a case study of sentimental analysis of cryptocurrencies. While FinBERT, a financial variant of BERT, exhibits high accuracy and robustness, other LLMs exhibit varying degrees of success based on the dataset and domain requirements. The analysis concentrates on the difficulties, compromises, and potential paths for improving LLMs for financial sentiment analysis. © 2025 IEEE.
