This study introduces the Collision Clarification Generator (CCG), a Large Language Model-based system designed to assist in documenting traffic accidents. The CCG comprises three modules: Questioning, Information Extraction, and Accident Sequence Generation, which collectively streamline the process of gathering and structuring accident information. The system employs predefined question templates and a standardized Traffic Accident Record Format (TARF) to ensure comprehensive data collection. Evaluation of the CCG involved both human assessment and LLM-based automatic evaluation. Results showed an F1 score of 0.909 in human evaluation, and scores exceeding 7 out of 10 for accuracy and completeness in LLM-based assessment. These findings demonstrate the CCG’s effectiveness in accurately documenting accident information, potentially facilitating subsequent legal and insurance processes. © 2024 The Authors.

Classifying brain tumors is considered imperative for developing successful treatments. In this regard, binary classification of brain tumor was the major objective of this paper. This work uses a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) dataset for classification purpose. Due to data paucity, the classifying frameworks in this proposed work tested the transfer learning method for extracting features by utilizing four convolutional neural networks (CNNs) of pre-trained capabilities. This research aimed at decreasing the training time, improving accuracy in classifying images, and preventing overfitting. Instead of considering the same datasets, the study considered segmented images of the original dataset for training. Four segmentation methods were used for creating a new segmented dataset of the original dataset. The authors done segmentation and trained the architecture with few pre-processes for three separate epoch numbers in place for investigating the effect on classification accuracy and time consumption. Additionally, profits were gained from obtaining suitable results within a minimal number of epochs in a constrained time amount. The experimental data proved that the transfer learning method has produced accurate outcomes with a classification accuracy of 96.98%. © 2024 IEEE.

Today's society heavily depends on online communities, which host a wide variety of social networks and public and private services. These demands led to the creation of Android, the world's most popular mobile operating system. The wide range of features and capabilities offered by freely installable third-party apps is largely responsible for this success. While focusing on the positive aspects of technology use, it is vital to keep in mind the potential negative consequences like privacy breaches, data theft, and malware infections that could compromise personal information and device security, especially if negligence or overuse of technology is present. This article discusses a systematic review of ML-based Android malware detection techniques. It provides a critical analysis of a number of carefully selected articles, highlighting their methods and conclusions. To support this study, we also present our own analysis and findings, for which an evaluation of diverse ML models with 123,453 applications and 5,560 malware samples from the DREBIN dataset was done to classify apps as malicious and benign. Preprocessing was done on the dataset to address missing values and perform label encoding. To cope with the issue of class imbalance, we used SMOTE an efficient ML technique that handles imbalance issues efficiently. We have applied five different ML algorithms, The results show that among all the techniques, Decision Tree (DT), Support Vector Machines (SVM) with various kernels (linear, polynomial, RBF), Sequential Neural Network (NN), K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN), and Logistic Regression (LR), the sequential neural network model outperformed other methods with 99% accuracy. Additionally, the process identifies areas for future research and improvement in ML-based Android malware detection techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

Robust exam monitoring solutions are now essential in light of the most notable Covid-19 outbreak and the increasing inclination towards virtual learning. The automated method for supervising online exams that is suggested in this paper is intended to lessen the difficulties associated with exam cheating. With the assistance of our system's clever face detection algorithms, instructors may efficiently identify suspicious conduct by monitoring students' web activity and camera feed in real-time. Unlike earlier systems, ours provides improved accuracy and functionality, guaranteeing the authenticity of online tests. In light of the difficulties presented by the epidemic, this research attempts to offer a workable option for academic institutions and people wishing to administer fair and secure online exams. © 2024 IEEE.

With rapid advancements in technology, the process of recruitment has evolved from traditional methods to online and automated methods known as e-recruitment. While e-recruitment streamlines the initial screening process, assessing the personality and suitability of candidates continues to remain a challenge. In this paper, we propose a framework for online personality prediction to aid the e-recruitment process. The framework utilizes machine learning algorithms to analyze user data from multiple online sources like resumes, social media profiles, and responses to psychometric tests, and predict their personality type based on established psychological theories. Four popular personality prediction models - Big Five, Myers Briggs, HEXACO, and Enneagram are discussed. State-of-the-art natural language processing and deep learning techniques like BERT are explored for feature extraction from text data. Popular supervised machine learning algorithms like logistic regression, Naive Bayes, k-nearest neighbors, support vector machines, random forest, XGBoost, and LSTM are compared to build predictive models. The proposed framework can help recruiters shortlist candidates better matched to job requirements, leading to increased hiring satisfaction and productivity. © 2024 IEEE.

Liver diseases are common, thereby posing a significant quality-of-life impairment. They have required accurate and prompt assessments to be managed. Typically, conventional methods of evaluation often include subjectivity and laborious amounts of work. It introduces a DNN-based model with L2 regularization to predict risk categorization of liver diseases based on five categories of categorizations: Healthy-Liver, Low-Risk, Moderate-Risk, High-Risk, and Severe-Liver-Disease. The model includes the hidden layers with rectified linear unit (ReLU) activation functions, batch normalization, and dropout for regularizing to achieve robust learning. The DNN was trained in a very comprehensive Kaggle dataset with many physiological and biochemical features and has achieved an impressive 94.07% classification accuracy. Healthcare professionals will be equipped with a significant resource to develop personalized treatment strategies facilitated by this investigation, which highlights the capabilities of deep learning methodologies in the automation of liver disease assessment. Subsequent research will focus on integrating additional data sources to improve the model's scalability and predictive precision, thus promoting the advancement of automated liver disease evaluation in clinical settings. © 2024 IEEE.

This study addresses healthcare provider fraud in Medicare, employing advanced machine learning models on a diverse dataset to predict potential fraud. The goal is to contribute insights for effective fraud detection and mitigate its impact on overall healthcare costs. Utilizing Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and addressing class imbalance through SMOTE, we discern patterns in provider behavior. Evaluation metrics, including confusion matrices, accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, Kappa values, AUC, and F1-scores, comprehensively assess each model's performance. Findings highlight distinct behavior patterns and underscore SMOTE's effectiveness in mitigating class imbalance challenges. Comparative analysis discusses algorithm strengths and weaknesses, offering insights for real-world implementation, impacting fraud prevention strategies for insurance companies, healthcare providers, and beneficiaries. In summary, this research makes a noteworthy contribution to the detection of healthcare fraud, offering insights for effective strategies. The Musical Metaverse (MM) represents an innovative frontier for the field of New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME). The MM holds the potential to redefine areas such as musical composition and performance via immersive environments based on technologically mediated social interactions. Despite substantial research on single-user immersive systems, the intersection of NIME and the MM remains largely unexplored. In this paper, we systematically explore this domain by examining previous and current approaches, alongside conducting interviews with eleven experts who have created multi-user immersive musical environments and authored publications on this topic. The goal is to map such an uncharted territory by collecting valuable insights and leveraging the perspective of experts to provide an understanding of the potentials and challenges inherent in creating immersive social environments for musical activities. Our results reveal that existing multi-user immersive environments make use of diverse implementation approaches but face challenges due to the absence of standardized technology stacks, particularly in networking and data synchronization. © 2024, International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression. This paper introduces a novel half-bridge (HB)/dual-stacked-switches based electrolytic capacitor-less bidirectional AC/DC converter for high voltage (HV) electric vehicle (EV) systems. The proposed two-stage AC/DC converter incorporates a closed-loop Power Factor Correction (PFC) mechanism based on the dq model of the input LCL filter, ensuring high-quality input current with minimized Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) during both conversion and inversion operations of the converter. Moreover, the front-end HB PFC circuit operates in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) that results in the elimination of the high peak current in the switches. Additionally, a dedicated closed-loop control system is deployed in the dual-stacked-switches resonant converter to significantly reduce the output voltage ripple, thus eliminating the use of bulky electrolytic-type storage capacitors. Output voltage regulation is realized by using Variable Frequency Modulation (VFM). Soft-switching operation is guaranteed for all the switches and diodes using CLLC resonant circuit for both conversion and inversion modes of operation. The proposed circuit's performance is verified through a 1kW, 120Vrms/800Vdc proof-of-concept prototype. © 2024 IEEE.
