The paper introduces an innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based scale sensor that measures the water level in the alternate wetting and drying (AWD) system and displays data in the mobile app to enable remote monitoring. The AWD system mainly consists of 30 cm of PVC pipe or bamboo with a diameter of 10-15 cm inserted into the paddy field, with a lower 20 cm buried in the soil and tiny holes at the bottom to allow field water to enter. The water level within the pipe indicates the field's water level, especially the underground water level. The AWD method optimizes water usage and reduces methane emissions by watering periodically and drying rice fields instead of maintaining continuous flooding. The current manual measurement process for water level needs to go to crop fields daily with a scale, which is difficult for continuous and remote monitoring. The developed scale sensor has IoT connectivity that removes the difficulties. The scale sensor works based on conductive rain sensors to precisely detect each centimeter rise or fall of water. The sensor consists of two open conductive layers that create a short circuit when the water level touches them by raising, triggering the microcontroller to register a voltage drop. The scale can measure up to 20 cm as it has 20 conductive layers, which fulfill the requirements. It has a 1 cm resolution, and in the test, it shows 95-99% accuracy. So, the sensor can effectively measure the water level in the AWD system, and further research is required to add an automatic irrigation system with the sensor so that the whole process can be controlled remotely. © 2024 IEEE.

An autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a physiological condition that impairs an individual's ability to acquire skills, engage in social interactions, empathize, and socialize. Early intervention is crucial to alleviate intellectual, behavioral, and functional challenges related to ASD. The significance of early ASD assessment cannot be overstated, as it is rapidly addressed through cognitive progress, yielding equally favorable outcomes. This research work developed a machine learning (ML) model for early assessments of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data and deep neural networks (DNNs). A comprehensive analysis is carried out utilizing seven distinct brain atlases from the IMPAC dataset. The results indicate that among the seven atlases, Craddock 200 (CC200) attains the highest ROC AUC of 85.091% and an impressive accuracy of 82.759%, which outperforms numerous current state-of-the-art models. These findings emphasize the potential of fMRI-based machine learning models, especially deep neural networks, in improving the precision and efficacy of early autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. Such enhancements offer potential for enhancing the lives of individuals with ASD, as prompt treatments can profoundly influence their developmental trajectory and general well-being. © 2024 IEEE.

One inventive solution is to turn food waste into power using the Internet of Things (IoT) to meet the growing need for sustainable energy sources. It turns thermal energy from trash into electricity by utilizing thermoelectric devices and the Seebeck effect. Real-time monitoring and control are made possible with IoT integration. By improving the extraction of energy from liquid or semi-solid waste, this technique reduces waste and promotes a circular energy economy. The system makes use of hardware components such as transformers and voltage regulators. The outcomes of experiments demonstrate its efficacy and possible role in renewable energy. This creative idea, which provides a sustainable route ahead for the production of power from food waste, highlights the importance of IoT in improving waste-to-energy systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Chest X-ray images are widely used in diagnosing medical conditions, however, due to radiologist fatigue and shortage of resources the possibility of spotting peculiarities increases. This work proposes an explainable AI system to identify, quantify, and explain the pathology found in chest x-ray images. It builds credibility, enhances medical judgment, and reflects efficient utilization of radiology assets. This study used ResNet for the chest X-ray image classification and compared it with other related models like EfficientNetB0, DenseNet, VGGNet, and MobileNet. ResNet had the best AUC value of 0.826 thereby garnering it the best classification accuracy hence validating its selection as the main model. Moreover, ResNet adapted explainability to provide visual and textual interpretations and to classify diseases where such actionable insights could improve the reliability of diagnosis and patient outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.

A MANET facilitates the creation of a wireless connection between two devices without relying on any fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. Security is the main drawback in MANET's. As a result, intruder can easily connect to the network. To overcome this problem an efficient Intrusion Detection System should be built, in such a way the IDS can identify the intrusion. To detect the intruder like blackhole attack, this research study has proposed a novel technique in which a network consisting of 25 nodes is simulated and connected with TCP and UDP connection and collect different characteristics from the trace file. The ultimate purpose of a mobile robot is to do some tasks in addition to moving to a desired point, so it is very natural for a mobile robot to be equipped with a manipulator. Among many types of mobile robots, omni-directional mobile robot has been very popular because it has advantages in trajectory planning and control. In this paper, we deal with an omni-directional mobile manipulator that consists of a four Mecanum wheeled mobile robot platform and a manipulator mounted on it. In general, it is very difficult to solve inverse kinematics for a mobile manipulator because it has infinite solutions. Omni-directional mobile robot platform can move in any direction and can rotate on a pivot in a plane, so we propose it to be modeled as a manipulator with two prismatic joints and one revolute joint. Then the overall omni-directional mobile manipulator can be considered as a manipulator with an (n+3) DOF manipulator if the mounted manipulator has n DOF. We propose a weighted pseudo-inverse based method to solve the inverse kinematics problem at velocity level for the omni-directional mobile manipulator. In our method, in addition to a primary task of following end-effector trajectory, a secondary task of obstacle avoidance is accomplished by maximizing a performance index that represents a distance between a link of the manipulator and an obstacle. Wildfire in the forest leads to a huge amount of financial and human losses. That is it causes damage to the forest and the life of firefighters. To reduce the amount of such damage, unmanned aerial vehicles are among the best options to do the job of firefighting. Their orchestration of effective fire extinguishing is a must and essential. This work proposes a multi-agent reinforcement learning method using an actor-critic structure to extinguish the fire. While the learning is centralized, their execution is decentralized. Moreover, we define two models of fire spreading based on the discrete-time Markov process. The results show that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Despite being the sixth most widely spoken language globally, the Bangla language faces a lack of effective and efficient automated methods to correct keyboard errors in written text. Such errors can result in communication misunderstandings and misinterpretations, particularly in the digital domain, where written text plays a crucial role in communication and is heavily relied upon. However, no keyboard error model for the Bangla language has been found due to the lack of available datasets. In this research work, we have proposed a probabilistic approach to generate a synthetic Bangla keyboard typing error correction (BKTEC) dataset. By utilizing the novel BKTEC dataset, we have fine-tuned a transformer-based model for Keyboard error correction. After training it to convergence, the proposed model has been tested on a test dataset, and we have found a word level accuracy of 88.56%. © 2023 IEEE.

Exploring influential spreaders and predicting missing links in complex networks is essential for understanding and effectively controlling network dynamics. This paper presents a Graph Convolutional Network (GCN)-based link prediction method to estimate the probability of future link formation. We incorporate node features that capture local and global topological connectivity structures and feed these into the GCN model, where convolutional layers aggregate neighboring information and transform node features. This approach enables the model to capture structural patterns by integrating local and global information from neighboring nodes. In the final layer, the GCN model computes a prediction score representing the likelihood of an edge's existence, using insights gained during training. Finally, considering the predicted links, we update the network structure and introduce a novel centrality method called Emerging Spreader Centrality (ESC) to identify emerging spreaders within this augmented network. We conduct two separate experiments to evaluate the performance of the GCN-based link prediction and the ESC method, comparing their effectiveness with various state-of-the-art methods. Results demonstrate that our approach not only effectively predicts future links but also identifies emerging spreaders in the augmented networks. © 2025 IEEE.
