Audio Visual Speech Recognition (AVSR) is a promising technology for speech recognition that is more robust to noise and other challenging conditions than traditional Audio Speech Recognition (ASR). AVSR systems work by fusing audio and visual features using machine learning algorithms. One of the key challenges in AVSR is developing effective fusion methods. AVSR systems are currently being used in many different applications, having made great strides in recent years despite these obstacles. In this paper, we introduce a preprocessing technique applied on a Transformer model with Connectionist Temporal Classification (CTC) loss that increases the robustness of the AVSR model against noise. We preprocess the training audio clips by adding noise to it, resulting in significant reductions in word error rates and a more efficient training process. The project significantly advances in the field of audio-visual speech recognition and highlights the potential for practical applications, particularly in noisy and challenging environments. © 2024 IEEE.

The automobile industry is a significant global contributor of carbon footprint this industry has impacted climate change, the research explores the existing methods of carbon footprint tracking and creates a framework by applying blockchain technology by connecting all the countries into one system as blockchain carries the capability to do due to its transparency, security and immutability the proposes of decentralised framework for real time tracking quarterly and implementing the necessary policies to mitigate the raising emission. The methodology encompasses of data analysis of using time series analysis globally and focusing certain parts of the world to show the emissions and creating a design that can help us in tracking the carbon footprint making all over the countries around to participate in suggesting to create a pathway for the future generations a better world as advance technologies come into the world for better ways to save the environment. © 2024 IEEE.

Biometric authentication deals with the verifying identity based on physical and behavioural biometric traits of an individual. To prevent against the imposter attack, biometric modalities for person recognition is necessary. The biometrics traits like voice, speech, face, fingerprint recognition systems are commonly used and they are very effective. The disadvantage while using a traditional biometric feature is that they can be easily trapped and deceived. Brain-computer interface is the rapid developing technology, as a new biometric trait., EEG signal has been extensively concerned in recent times. The fact that electroencephalogram signals are distinctive and considerably more challenging to replicate than traditional biometrics which motivated for utilizing them. Indeed, by employing EEG signals obtained from brainiac processes, current user authentication security risks like shoulder surfing can be addressed., offers a novel solution to current security issues involving traditional knowledge-based user identification. In this paper, the objective is to analyze the research work on the EEG based authentication system based on experimental arrangement for users like EEG-acquisition protocols (e.g.., rest, external stimuli driven, mental, and hybrid), utilization of artificial intelligence methodologies and the considerations for security and privacy preservation. The papers examined a wide range of experiment protocols and various algorithms for EEG signal classification. Furthermore, this paper compares various classification and validation techniques. It also focuses on the efficient and effective EEG-based User Authentication techniques., and all the unholding privacy. © 2024 IEEE.

Assessing the potential success of a song based on its acoustic characteristics is a crucial task within the music industry. Traditionally, this has been approached by leveraging audio features independently. In this study, we take a novel approach by jointly exploiting audio features, framing as a regression on prediction task. Our methodology employs a wide architecture, enabling a comprehensive analysis. Additionally, we enhance feature sets by incorporating information about track release years. Evaluation on the Million Song dataset, using Billboard Hot 100 inclusion as a metric for song success, reveals that our approach surpasses baseline methods and those utilizing low- or high-level features in isolation. Notably, the inclusion of release year alongside mood and vocal features further enhances predictive accuracy, highlighting the efficacy of our comprehensive model in gauging song popularity. © 2024 IEEE.

Connecting two different games can lead to an increase in communication opportunities among players through shared gameplay. Furthermore, the shared goal awareness and physical actions in these games allow for the sharing of highly common experiences, which contributes to the realization of higher quality communication. In this paper, we propose a game design that connects games while preserving this commonality. Specifically, we propose a game, which we refer to as "Hyakunin Isshu Karuta vs Whack-a-Mole,"where one player engages in the traditional Japanese card game Hyakunin Isshu Karuta, and the other player plays Whack-a-Mole. Both games are competitive games, and they share the commonality that the player who touches the designated target the fastest earns points. By connecting games that preserve this commonality, players can utilize experience of their respective games while still engaging in a competitive game that shares goal awareness and physical actions. © 2024 IEEE.

Drone use has expanded recently to include airborne photography, human action recognition (HAR), search and rescue (SAR), and surveillance. Drones have a distinct edge in human action recognition (HAR) due to their bird's-eye vision, but this also brings challenges such as shifting backgrounds and obscured perspectives, which call for creative solutions. To address these issues, we propose a method that processes video frames using preprocessing techniques, detects human presence using YOLO, and human silhouettes are extracted using morphological erosion. We focus on key skeletal landmarks such as the head, wrists, ankles, and neck to analyze human movement patterns. We enhance feature extraction with methods like MSER and HOG. Classification is performed using Naïve Bayes algorithm, with feature optimization achieved through the Grey Wolf optimizer. Our method is tested on the Drone-Action dataset and shows itself to be rather effective, detecting human activity with an astounding 84% accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

With the sharp increase in consumption and creation of content in the format of videos it has become a necessity to have mechanisms to analyze and extract most vital information delivered in a shorter format. This research tends to delve deeper into enhancing video summarization using attention-based transformers by embedding present state-of-the-art models in the feature extraction phases. This paper demonstrates the effective utilization of video frames to extract visual features and also generate captions that serve as the second source of modality. These captions tend to overcome the absence of transcripts and audio portions needed for summarization and at the same time present an effective way to extract textual features. The extracted features are then handled by an effective transformer model to select the keyframes needed for summarization. The resultant methodology delivers a better F1 score compared to other supervised and unsupervised models and the mechanisms considering a single modality. The method presented also goes on to provide a full-fledged summarized video generated from the selected keyframes thus making it an end-to-end process for video summarization. SumMe and TVSum datasets have been extensively used for training and testing purposes throughout this research and the proposed model has achieved an F1 score of 54.91 on SumMe and 63.34 on TVSum dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

Tracking human actions, especially in the field of medicine, has encouraged interest in computer vision, specifically for detecting gait anomalies to aid in rehabilitating patients with irregular patterns. In this paper, the proposed system employs vision-based and inertial-based modalities that enable the recording of human actions and encourage human-machine collaboration. The inertial sensors were preprocessed using a Butterworth filter, as its magnitude response is often monotonic and maximally flat in the passband, providing smoothness. Multiple key features, such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) and auto-regression coefficients have been extracted. On the other hand, human detection has been performed for vision-based data, and main features such as angles and velocities have been calculated. The final results have been fused using multimodal survey fusion. The fused data was then forwarded for optimization using yeo-johnson power optimizer. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) have been trained to perform classification. Evaluation using the confusion matrix on the Heriot-Watt University of Sao Paulo (HWU-USP) dataset proficient of identifying nine complex actions showed an accuracy rate of 83.33%. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we analyze two versions of a texture synthesis algorithm, study the cases in which they fail to produce a successful result and present modifications that could be made to lessen their rates of failure. This algorithm, Model Synthesis, and its variation Wave Function Collapse are designed to take in a small sample input image, or set of image constraints, and produce a larger pseudorandom output image in which every region of the output image is locally similar to an element of the input image. Both versions of the algorithm accomplish this task by considering their output image as a grid of cells with each cell initially in a superposition of all possibilities for itself and resolving cells one by one until all cells have been resolved from their superposition to a fixed value. One of the key differences between the two versions of the algorithm is the order in which cells are selected to be resolved, one simply selects in a scanline order, while the other resolves first those cells that have the minimum entropy, and thus which we can be most certain of their eventual state. For many inputs, the minimum entropy model reaches a state in which its output is not consistent with the input and thus fails, while the scanline model does not. This paper looks at the cases in which this occurs and concludes that this is often caused by the minimum entropy model creating regions of elevated constraints in its solution. Finally, it presents a possible alteration to the algorithm which allows a minimum entropy model to avoid this manner of failure among a subset of test cases. © 2024 IEEE.
