The maintenance and enhancement of dynamic soil characteristics are the primary focus of soil management in agriculture to increase crop productivity. Higher productivity may result from efficient soil control of resources and corrective micronutrient treatments. Using CNN and 'KNN' algorithms, the 'soil land classification and crop prediction system' application was created. In this study, two datasets are used: one to obtain crop prediction and the other for soil land categorization. The kind of soils are trained using CNN ('VGG- 19') algorithm, and the accuracy of the model is calculated. The trained model is then utilized in the Flask web app to forecast the type of soil. Another data set with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH, and temperature as features and the class type of crop as a label is used to forecast crop production. These two algorithms are used to create the flask website, which accepts inputs such as soil picture, soil type prediction, and land parameter inputs for crop prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

Internet has evolved from a network of connecting people to a network of connecting things, leading to a more complex and sophisticated network of Industrial Things, known as Industrial IoT (IIoT) today. This evolution has revolutionized the traditional Industrial system into real-time smarter systems that enhanced overall efficiency and productivity. Despite its benefits, the interconnected nature of IIoT, expanded the attack surface, exposing the systems to new crucial and complex cybersecurity threats. Several real time attacks on various industries as mentioned in this paper and the increasing cybersecurity cost over the years, clearly states the need of robust security solutions. To deeply understand the cybersecurity aspect, we provided a comprehensive study of attacks and vulnerabilities in this paper. In this paper, we did a indept. study of various IIoT related severe attacks and aspects related to these attacks, like vulnerabilities, impacts, potential solutions etc. We also provided future research directions to help the research community, to work upon and develop more robust and efficient cybersecurity solutions. © 2025 IEEE.

Amplification by subsampling is one of the main primitives in machine learning with differential privacy (DP): Training a model on random batches instead of complete datasets results in stronger privacy. This is traditionally formalized via mechanism-agnostic subsampling guarantees that express the privacy parameters of a subsampled mechanism as a function of the original mechanism's privacy parameters. We propose the first general framework for deriving mechanism-specific guarantees, which leverage additional information beyond these parameters to more tightly characterize the subsampled mechanism's privacy. Such guarantees are of particular importance for privacy accounting, i.e., tracking privacy over multiple iterations. Overall, our framework based on conditional optimal transport lets us derive existing and novel guarantees for approximate DP, accounting with Rényi DP, and accounting with dominating pairs in a unified, principled manner. As an application, we analyze how subsampling affects the privacy of groups of multiple users. Our tight mechanism-specific bounds outperform tight mechanism-agnostic bounds and classic group privacy results. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. All rights reserved.

Lay summarization aims to generate summaries of technical articles for non-experts, enabling easy comprehension for a general audience. The technical language used in research often hinders effective communication of scientific knowledge, making it difficult for non-experts to understand. Automatic lay summarization can enhance access to scientific literature, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge sharing and public understanding. This has become especially important for biomedical articles, given the current global need for clear medical information. Large Language Models (LLMs) (Yao et al., 2024), with their remarkable language understanding capabilities, are ideal for abstractive summarization, helping to make complex information accessible to the public. This paper details our submissions to the BioLaySumm 2024 Shared Task: Lay Summarization of Biomedical Research Articles (Goldsack et al., 2024). We fine-tune and evaluate sequence-to-sequence models like T5 across various training dataset settings and optimization methods such as LoRA (Hu et al., 2021b) for lay summarization. The rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) brings numerous benefits but further presents fresh difficulties, especially in terms of security. The distributed and interconnected nature of IoT devices makes them susceptible to various security threats. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) plays a crucial role in safeguarding IoT networks by monitoring, detecting, and responding to potential security incidents. The Internet of Things (IoT) connects billions of devices, sensors, and systems, transforming industries and everyday life. However, this extensive interconnectivity also introduces significant security risks, making Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) a critical component for safeguarding IoT environments. Feature selection is a crucial aspect of building effective Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Selecting relevant features not only helps in achieving better classification accuracy but also contributes to reducing false alarm rates. In the proposed system a moth flame optimizer is utilized to select the efficient features from the dataset, overall accuracy of over 97%. This study explores the use of Genetic Algorithms (GA) to solve the NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem known as the Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP). The suggested GA, called GA-P, performs better than conventional techniques because it uses a new randomized crossover threshold. According to experimental assessments, GA-P outperforms a normal Genetic Algorithm with fixed crossover (GA-N, 628.6) and approaches the best Branch and Bound solutions (B&B, 560.6) with an average cost of 617.4 for 16-node graphs. With average execution times of 0.1347 seconds for 16 nodes, GA-P also demonstrates constant computational efficiency, outperforming B&B's exponentially growing temporal complexity (169.37 seconds for 16 nodes). In order to balance solution quality and computational cost, hyperparameter tweaking revealed the ideal values of population percentage (pp = 1.1), crossover proportion (cp = 0.8), mutation threshold (mt = 0.3), and exploration probability (ep = 0.2). The results show that GA-P is a scalable and efficient substitute for TSP, with room for improvement via parallelization and exploratory techniques. © 2025 IEEE.

Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is a debilitating chronic pain disorder that significantly diminishes overall well-being, making diagnosis and therapy more challenging. The quick and precise categorization of TN severity is critical to therapy effectiveness. To assess the severity of TN, this study makes use of advanced machine learning techniques and explainable AI (XAI) approaches. We use a range of bagging and boosting strategies, including AdaBoost, Random Forest, Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN), Gradient Boosting, and Logistic Regression. Random Forest was 95.2% accurate, whereas AdaBoost and Gradient Boosting were 92% and 97.2% in terms of their accuracy. The Decision Tree classifier obtained an accuracy of 84.62%, while K-Nearest Neighbours and Logistic Regression also achieved 92.31% accuracy. F1- score, precision, and recall metrics were used to assess performance on a dataset that included patient demographics and medical histories. XAI techniques, such as LIME and SHAP values, were used to improve the models' readability and transparency, which helped to progress the creation of cutting-edge diagnostic tools and increase clinician and researcher confidence. © 2024 IEEE.

Internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles are very polluting and release high nitrogen oxides, carcinogens, and soot into the environment. ICE vehicles are the best choice in this era, but replacing ICE vehicles with electric vehicles (EVs) and automated vehicle control is a potential transition process. The most important turning point in the history of the automobile occurred with the entry of EVs into the vehicle market. The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm in electric vehicles (EVs) has changed the way we look at large-scale transportation by making it intelligent and more sustainable. Recently, with the advent of connectivity through IoT platforms, IoT in EVs has improved performance and reduced environmental impact: from any on-off switch and adoption of IoT through our smartphones placed on the charging base. We can implement smart charging solutions for better energy consumption management, reduction of grid load, and battery life enhancement. IoT allows electric vehicles to communicate directly with charging stations and even the power grid, providing a better way to create balanced transportation networks. But implementing IoT in electric vehicles also raises some issues, including data security and user privacy. With all of these issues, there is huge potential in IoT usage with electric vehicles to help produce cleaner transportation and create a more sustainable future. © 2024 IEEE.

A rising number of spy cameras installed in sensitive locations globally poses an escalating threat to personal privacy. Detecting these small and well-concealed cameras with the naked eye is challenging. Despite the abundance of Android apps, accurate detection remains elusive, with many requiring subscriptions and some charging users without prior notice. Furthermore, most IoT devices are designed to detect wired cameras, overlooking the prevalence of wireless spy cameras. Existing studies often rely on impractical methods, such as wireless transmission detection. The primary objective of this paper is to develop a cost-effective, scalable, robust, and user-friendly spy camera detector. This detector identifies all night vision cameras emitting infrared light, promptly alerting the user through a beep sound from the attached buzzer. In addressing the imperative need for heightened privacy protection, the IoT spy camera detector adept.y spots concealed cameras via IR signals. By offering user-friendly location alerts through a reassuring buzzer, it actively contributes to enhancing security measures against evolving privacy threats, creating a safer environment for all. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper introduces an event chronology model for Hindu mythological texts, with a focus on the Ramayana's Bala-kanda. It captures and structures sentence-level events based on their chronological order to better understand narrative progression and character interactions. A manually crafted dataset of 1217 events, involving 214 characters across 75 chapters, is used to generate a knowledge graph. The graph organizes events by sequence, linking characters, actions, and chapters within the storyline. The event chronology is mapped by establishing relationships between events, ensuring they are connected in the proper sequence to reflect the narrative flow. This approach enables a deeper understanding of how each event contributes to the overarching story, providing insights into both the individual actions of characters and their significance within the broader mythological narrative. Transformer-based models (BERT, DistilBERT, and RoBERTa) were utilized for predicting subsequent events, with RoBERTa showing the highest accuracy in preserving the correct event chronology. This structure is key to analyzing the sequential development of the Ramayana's storyline. © 2025 IEEE.
