Recognition of Bengali sign language characters is crucial for facilitating communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing population in Bengali-speaking regions, which encompass approximately 430 million people worldwide. Despite the significant number of individuals requiring this support, research on Bengali sign language character recognition remains underdeveloped. This article presents a novel approach to categorize Bengali sign language characters using the Ishara-Lipi dataset, based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and pretrained models. We evaluated our approach using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrices. Our findings indicate that the CNN model achieved the highest performance with an accuracy of 98%, followed by VGG19 with 94% and ResNet variants achieving around 88%. The proposed model demonstrates robust and efficient classification capabilities, significantly bridging the gap in existing literature. This study holds substantial promise for enhancing assistive technology, thereby improving social inclusion and quality of life for Bengalispeaking deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. © 2024 IEEE.

Tremendous amount of meteorological data is being generated on a daily basis from a number of sources such as weather stations, balloons, satellites, sensors etc. Timely weather prediction helps people plan everyday life events. Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) networks perform extremely well for capturing dependencies in time series datasets. Number of neurons in hidden layer highly impacts the performance of the LSTM network. The hit and Trial method for selecting the neurons consumes a lot of time and resources and might not lead to a global optimum solution. In this research work, two techniques, i.e. Genetic Algorithm optimized LSTM (LSTM-GA) and Artificial Bee Colony optimized LSTM (LSTM-ABC) have been proposed and implemented to automate the selection of the hidden layer's neurons for improved weather prediction. Proposed techniques have been implemented using DeepLearning4j library making the techniques scalable on clusters of machines. For evaluating the performance of proposed techniques, 15 years Brazil's weather dataset has been used. The experimental results proved that the proposed LSTM-GA and LSTM-ABC techniques have the reduced MAE value of 0.0074 and 0.0075 respectively while the LSTM network without any optimization has a relatively higher MAE value of 0.0086. © 2024 IEEE.

In the rapidly advancing field of computer vision, object detection has become crucial for various applications, including animal tracking, face detection, and surveillance systems. This study investigates the efficacy of contemporary object detection methodologies by evaluating the performance of the You Only Look Once (YOLO) models and TensorFlow Model Zoo architectures for animal tracking. YOLO models, known for their ability to process entire images in real-time and predict bounding boxes and class probabilities simultaneously, offer significant advantages over traditional methods such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Fast R-CNNs. This paper compares the performance of YOLOv5 and YOLOv7, alongside TensorFlow-based models like Faster R-CNN ResNetv152 and SSD ResNet101, using a dataset of animal images. Our findings reveal that YOLOv5 outperforms other models with a mean average precision (mAP) of 9 7.5%, demonstrating superior accuracy and efficiency in object detection tasks. YOLOv7 also shows strong performance with an mAP of 96.7%, while TensorFlow Model Zoo's Faster R-CNN and SSD models lag behind with mAPs of 81.9% and 81.6%, respectively. The results highlight the significant advancements in deep learning and object detection algorithms, particularly the advantages of YOLO's architecture in handling complex detection tasks in real-world scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

This study introduces a novel facial deconstruction method for face emotion identification. After identifying facial landmarks with the IntraFace algorithm, seven regions of interest (ROI) are extracted, representing the principal featuresof the face: the mouth, nose, an area between the eyebrows, right and left eyes, and eyebrows. Next, a variety of local descriptors, such as Local Binary Patterns, Completed Local Binary Patterns. Local Ternary Patterns, and Dynamic Local Ternary Patterns, are employed to capture distinctive features. Inputting the feature vector which represents a face image into a multi-class support vector machine completes the recognition process. The suggested method outperforms previous facial deconstruction techniques, according on experimental findings on two publicly available datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Air pollution is a global issue of concern. Accurate prediction of the air quality index (AQI) plays a crucial role in understanding pollution patterns and implementing effective mitigation strategies. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on the application of ensemble learning techniques for AQI prediction, aiming to enhance prediction accuracy and provide insights into the driving factors behind pollution levels. The primary objective is to conduct a comparative analysis of homogenous ensemble method, namely, bagging in conjunction with individual base models, such as multiple linear regression, support vector regression, decision trees, and artificial neural networks. In total we have created 4 non-ensembled models and 4 ensembled models. Additionally, the research investigates the importance of different features in AQI prediction models, aiming to identify the key factors influencing air pollution. Hyperparameter tuning is done to optimize the models. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques has been prevalent in various applications and the gradual increase in implementation towards healthcare sectors has scaled up. computer aided diagnosis has emerged as a major research area directed toward efficient use of resources. Fracture of bone has been a popular health problem associated with risk for mortality. Fractures are frequent in the long bones or the weight-bearing bones. AI techniques to accurately detect and classify fractures are still a challenging task beyond the conventional methods. Our objective is to assess the effectiveness of multiple algorithms in identifying and categorizing ankle fractures using radiological images. This review paper focuses on several available approaches of Deep-Learning (DL) and Machine-Learning (ML) regarding Ankle Fracture Classification and Identification based on Radiological Images for Medical Applications. The goal is to assist physicians and orthopaedics with simple and realistic decision support systems. In addition to a comprehensive analysis of the research, this study looked at several real-world examples of AI applications in the healthcare industry. Consequently, it is critical to have a fundamental grasp of these ML and DL algorithms to be ready for upcoming advancements in AI. We have reviewed and classified scientific conference and journal articles used for various AI techniques and offer future utility as a comparative analysis for further research in healthcare sectors. © 2024 IEEE.

Music mashups integrate elements from different songs to create surprising and engaging listening experiences. Typically, a mashup combines the vocal track of a base song with the instrumental tracks of complementary songs. Automating the production of mashups has been an area of research for decades. Traditional approaches utilize rule-based methods, such as matching tempo and harmonic similarity, to select optimal segments for mashup generation. More recent techniques leverage neural networks to classify segment compatibility. However, both approaches primarily focus on layering segments that are generally compatible, without ensuring their detailed integration and alignment with the vocal track. In contrast, we introduce a novel approach using Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) that learns to rearrange instrumental segments to better align with the base vocal track, resulting in more surprising and accurate music blends for mashup generation. Additionally, we conducted subjective listening tests to evaluate our generated mashups against a baseline model using the same song pairs and the original base songs, assessing our model's performance. Recognition of human activities has drawn a lot of interest lately in the field of computer vision and machine learning. Group activity recognition is a significant subcategory in which several people participate in a common activity. The primary obstacle in these tasks is learning the relationships between individuals in a scene and understanding their evolution over time. The suggested study offers a new taxonomy to classify state-of-the-art (SOTA) group activity recognition approaches and subcategorizes the current literature. It also critically analyzes these techniques. To understand scenes involving multiple people, models must describe individual actions in context and infer collective activities. Accurately capturing relationships between actors and performing relational reasoning is crucial for comprehending group activities. However, modelling these relationships is challenging due to the limited availability of interaction information, relying only on individual action labels and collective activity labels. Inferring relationships from other aspects is thus essential. Group activity recognition has garnered increased research attention recently due to its importance in video understanding. The difficulties lie not only in recognizing individual actions but also in exploring scene information and collaborative relations among people. This research addresses these challenges by providing a comprehensive review of existing techniques, offering a structured approach to categorize them, and highlighting the importance of relational reasoning in understanding group activities. © 2024 IEEE.

As the world advances in technology, the classification of eye diseases is thought to have clinical applications since it evaluates and analyzes the results. Optometrists research and diagnose age-related eye problems such as Choroidal Neovascularization (CNV), Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), and Drusen using optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the human eye. Because their symptoms are similar, identifying these diseases is challenging and requires hours of expert analysis. The requirements for eye illness classification should be straightforward in nature, structure, and evaluation. Deep Learning Convolutional Neural Network Classification can create a hierarchical representation of images to differentiate between normal and diseased eye patterns for diagnostic purposes. Therefore, this paper aims to implement and define deep learning to classify and identify eye diseases. Using a four-class classification problem, this work investigates the automatic detection of Choroidal Neovascularization (CNV), Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), Drusen, and Normal in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) pictures. Multi-transfer learning architecture was used in the suggested deep learning Ensemble classification model. The most incredible accuracy of our proposed Ensemble model for multi- class classification was 83%. © 2023 IEEE.

The study's main objective is to predict the sign of the stock by sentimental analysis regarding the Hindenburg report on Adani group stocks by obtaining tweets from Twitter. The study's findings will aid in understanding the effect of the Hindenburg report on the stocks of the Adani group. Excel files are downloaded from Twitter containing tweets from social media users. Tweets are cleaned up by eliminating noise data after extraction. Machine learning algorithms, such as Logistic Regression (LR), Linear support classification (SVC), Random Forest (RF), and voting, were used to classify the data into positive, Neutral, and negative groups. © 2024 IEEE.
