American Sign Language (ASL) recognition aims to recognize hand gestures, and it is a crucial solution to communicating between the deaf community and hearing people. However, existing sign language recognition algorithms still have some drawbacks, such as difficulty recognizing hand movements and low recognition accuracy for most sign language recognition. A Modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) deep residual 101 classifier-based American Sign Language identification system has been developed to address this problem. There are three main parts presents in the method. The first part is pre-processing the images to remove the noise, enhance the contrast of the picture, adjust the contrast level and smoothen the picture using various filters. The second part is the segmentation, and it’s used to partition the image using a modified canny edge detection method by removing all weak edges present in the image. Finally, classification will be done using the Modified CNN deep residual 101 classifiers. By classifying the image, the American Sign Language is accurately identified. This process is conducted through images. The outcome shows that the suggested approach has a 0.97% accuracy and a 0.05% False Positive Rate. Other CNN architectures such as resNet 50 and resNet 18 reached 0.90% and 0.80% accuracy, respectively, which is lower than our proposed method. In addition, the resNet 101 classifier effectively recognizes the difficult hand gestures through the image data. It obtains high recognition accuracy for 36 signs is 0 to 9 numbers and a to z alphabets from American Sign Language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Cloud computing enables on-demand computation on remote servers and computers. Thanks to the adaptability and scalability of the infrastructure for data storage, processing, and management. To solve the security problems arising in cloud identity management techniques such as, dependency on a third-party token provider, leakage of user's details, single point of failure, etc., decentralized cloud identity management systems came into the picture. Blockchain is a decentralized database providing immutability and transparency to recorded transaction data. The current token-based decentralized cloud identity management systems have limitations, including the absence of data access management procedures and a lack of security features. This paper suggests a Blockchain based Secure Cloud Identity and Access Management (BSCIAM) model for secure identity and access management, utilizing encryption and key sharing techniques. The proposed model has been implemented using Ethereum smart contracts for token-based identity management. © 2024 IEEE.

A new single-stage high-gain interleaved boost modular CL resonant converter is proposed in this paper for photovoltaic-powered magnetron application. The proposed converter is able to provide high voltage gain for the magnetron which is a device for microwave applications. Perturb and Observe (P&O) method was used to achieve Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) in the integrated interleaved boost stage by controlling the duty-cycle of the two primary leg switches. The operational principles of the converter are briefly discussed in this paper. Results on a 1.7kW, 230V/3.8kV design are presented to verify the proposed converter performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Glaucoma, a gradually developing eye condition that can damage the optic nerve, is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide. The detection of glaucoma is required in its initial phases for the prevention of the disease. Several machine learning and deep learning models have been developed to detect the disease. These models require a preprocessed structured data set for better efficiency and accuracy of detection. The image datasets used for this purpose have been found with several issues of outliers and noise that limit the accuracy of the results. Hence, proper handling of the dataset in terms of pre-processing is vital. This paper presents a novel pre-processing technique for better glaucoma detection as it is necessary to remove outliers from the retinal images. The proposed 'EMF' model for pre-processing comprises Enhancement, Morphology, and Filtering of the images to get better results on the Retina. Drishti dataset has been used to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed technique. This dataset has several outliers that limit the accuracy, making it difficult to diagnose glaucoma. However, with the usage of the proposed technique, the dataset could be efficiently utilized for glaucoma detection. Compared to current state-of-the-art techniques, the findings from the proposed approach were shown to be better in terms of MSE, PSNR, and entropy. © 2024 IEEE.

Modern expectations for efficiency and sustainability are sometimes not addressed by the existing approaches in the continually changing environment of agricultural activities. In order to fully address these difficulties, research investigates how precision farming practices may be integrated while utilizing technological improvements. Study attempts to estimate optimal crop choices by assessing important characteristics including area, rainfall, temperature, and district-specific data, giving farmers the power to make well-informed and data-driven decisions. Precision farming lowers risks related to climatic unpredictability, increases output, and minimizes resource waste. By using the strategy, encourage resilience and innovation in the agricultural industry while bridging the gap between current farming practices and the sustainable agriculture of the future. Employing advanced algorithms including LR, Ridge Regression, DTs, and classifiers, achieved a remarkable 96% accuracy rate. Additionally, the proposed system offers real-time alerts via email or SMS, delivering timely advice and actionable insights to enhance agricultural sustainability and productivity. © 2025 IEEE.

CycleGAN, a significant deep learning model, has transformed medical imaging by providing a remedy for translating MRI images between different modalities. Its ability to transform T1-weighted to T2-weighted images is crucial in healthcare environments where obtaining multiple scans can be time-consuming and burdensome for patients. This can be achieved by utilizing CycleGAN, which generates images that contains vital information that will help the healthcare professionals to diagnose the patient without exposing them to further radiations. This unleashes an effective and safer way of diagnosing patients. The adaptability of CycleGAN also allows scalability and the ability to customize it for different types of medical images, where scanning can be achieved with less exposure to radiation, without loosing or compromising any important information. © 2024 IEEE.

These characteristics have the power to strengthen their love or spark conflict. Personality traits can be used to evaluate the quality of the relationship between the partners. To determine whether the individual will maintain or end the relationship, the relationship's quality has been evaluated based on personality traits. A thorough analysis has been conducted on the personality traits that impact relationships to determine whether they will have an impact, might have an impact or have no impact at all. A study was carried out to investigate the impact of personality traits on relationships. The relationship quality was assessed based on the personality trait which will make the person stay in the relationship, might or might not stay, or not stay in the relationship. To improve the supply-chain management system of Bangladesh for imported cosmetic products this paper proposes a blockchain-based solution. One of the major goals of this project is to increase the tax compliance of the government by stopping counterfeit and illegally imported cosmetic products. Which will enhance the trust of consumers and the brand's reputation. Using this system is quite easy and convenient, as All the information will be stored in the blockchain, so it will become a secure and immutable product tracking system for importers, distributors, and retailers to maintain their ledgers just by printing and scanning a QR code through an IoT device, and consumers can check the authenticity of these cosmetic products just by scanning them. If the product is verified to be suspicious, The Mobile Court Management System has the power to check its origin. Finally, we can say that it will avoid the sale of counterfeit items in the market and increase government revenue on tax. © 2024 IEEE.

Jute is considered as one of the most vital crops in the world. For some countries jute is the principal source of earnings and GDP. One of the primary elements influencing jute yield is jute pests. Accurate pest identification makes it possible to take prompt preventative action to minimize financial losses. Considering the fact, to classify jute pests, the study suggests different jute pest classification models, which are based on transfer learning. The best model offers high performance and resilience. A VCI-validated dataset comprising 7235 images has been utilized in the analysis. The dataset encompasses images classified into 17 distinct jute pest classes. The dataset is already divided into three categories train, test and validation. To increase the dataset size, data augmentation is applied to the training set. To improve performance, all the models were integrated with the transfer learning model. VGG 16, ResNetl0l, DenseNet201, InceptionV3, Xception, and MobileN etV2 were used to train the parameters on the publicly available ImageN et dataset followed by some customized dense layers. The models were assessed using different types of metrics, including confusion matrix, F1 score, precision, and recall. Compared to other models DenseNet201 outclassed other models, acquiring 97% accuracy. The fundamental information and technical support for jute pest classification are provided by this study. © 2024 IEEE.

The Musical Metaverse (MM) represents an innovative frontier for the field of New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME). The MM holds the potential to redefine areas such as musical composition and performance via immersive environments based on technologically mediated social interactions. Despite substantial research on single-user immersive systems, the intersection of NIME and the MM remains largely unexplored. In this paper, we systematically explore this domain by examining previous and current approaches, alongside conducting interviews with eleven experts who have created multi-user immersive musical environments and authored publications on this topic. The goal is to map such an uncharted territory by collecting valuable insights and leveraging the perspective of experts to provide an understanding of the potentials and challenges inherent in creating immersive social environments for musical activities. Our results reveal that existing multi-user immersive environments make use of diverse implementation approaches but face challenges due to the absence of standardized technology stacks, particularly in networking and data synchronization. © 2024, International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression.
