The Internet of Things has rapidly emerged and continues to create services, software, sensors-embedded devices, and protocols. IoT allows physical objects to communicate, exchange information, and make decisions while performing critical jobs. The Internet of Things is enhanced by wireless sensor networks, which serve as a continuous layer. To gain adoption and spread, Internet of things-based sensor networks must overcome serious general and specialized risks and technological hurdles. The main drawbacks of wireless sensor networks are insufficient resources. Internet of Things (IOT)-based Wireless Sensor Networks have issues in energy consumption, longevity, throughput, routing, and security. The goal of this effort was to enhance network longevity, throughput, packet latency/loss, and better encounters with hostile nodes. Consider wireless energy harvesting in the proposed three-layer cluster-based wireless sensor network routing protocol to enhance network lifespan. The proposed approach is a Trust based Cooperative Secure Routing Protocol (TCSRP) technique with security system to obtain malicious activities of objects and to slant them into blacklist. Finally, experiments were done to test the methodology. It outperforms most traditional routing protocols like AODV, DSR, and DSDV. © 2024 IEEE.

Robots have emerged as versatile tools with significant potential to enhance teaching and learning environments, including classrooms, laboratories, play homes, crèches, and even at home. Their engaging nature can captivate young children, boosting motivation and interest. This paper proposes a methodology for an Educational Robot (ER) designed for play homes. The ER is capable of moving around the classroom, monitoring children, analyzing their emotions, responding appropriately, and alerting the teacher when necessary. The proposed system aims to leverage the positive impact of expressive behaviors in robots, such as storytelling and pampering. Our findings indicate that expressive robot narration is as effective as that of a human displaying similar behaviors and even surpasses a static, inexpressive human narrator. Furthermore, the robot excels in conveying educational content, although its limited emotional expression slightly reduces its effectiveness in narrating emotionally rich stories. This research underscores the potential of ERs to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences for young children, fostering both their cognitive and emotional development. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain technology has become more widespread in our lives revolutionizing various industries through improved security, transparency, and operational efficiency. Its decentralized ledger system is particularly effective in areas like finance and supply chain management ensuring data integrity and reducing the need for middlemen. This study explores how blockchain technology is used in the process of buying vehicles highlighting its benefits compared to methods. Traditional vehicle purchases involve a network of dealers, banks and regulators leading to inefficiencies, higher costs and potential fraud. The usual process involves steps like financing checking vehicle history and changing ownership. Each requiring extensive paperwork and third-party intervention. In contrast using blockchain for vehicle purchases can simplify things through contracts that automate tasks like verifying history securely transferring ownership instantly settling payments. The unchangeable nature of records ensures that all transaction data remains secure against tampering fostering trust between buyers and sellers. Furthermore, blockchain can cut costs significantly by removing the need for middlemen such, as escrow services and title companies while reducing burdens. The advanced security elements built into technology help reduce the chances of fraudulent actions like altering odometer readings or selling stolen cars. This study showcases a comparison illustrating how blockchain can simplify the process of buying vehicles offering an economical and secure experience. © 2025 IEEE.

This study explores the application of a Transformer based model to the 'MovieLens 1M' and 'MovieLens 10M' datasets provided by GroupLens, which includes one million and ten movie ratings. The Transformer model, known for its proficiency in handling sequence-to-sequence tasks, employs multi-head self-attention mechanisms and position-wise feed-forward networks. Our implementation, developed in PyTorch, benefits from its capacity for automatic differentiation and GPU acceleration, which significantly enhances the training efficiency. The model underwent rigorous hyperparameter tuning and optimization to adapt optimally to the characteristics of the dataset. Performance evaluation using the Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (NDCG) metric demonstrates that the Transformer model substantially outperforms a conventional popular recommendation system across various top-K rankings. Specifically, for the MovieLens 1M dataset, the Transformer model achieved NDCG scores of 0.0455, 0.0805, 0.0995, and 0.1273 at top 1, 3, 5, and 10, respectively. Comparatively, the popular recommendation system scored 0.0023, 0.0044, 0.0061, and 0.0091 at these same rankings. This trend of superior performance by the Transformer model is also consistent across the MovieLens 10M dataset, further confirming its effectiveness in ranking highly relevant items at the top of the list. Also, to address quality and utility of recommendations, MAP, Precision, Recall, F1 Score, Coverage and Serendipity metrics evaluated. These results underscore the effectiveness of Transformer models in extracting and leveraging complex patterns in sequence data, demonstrating a clear superiority over traditional methods in recommendation systems. This study highlights the potential of deep learning architectures to revolutionize fields reliant on understanding user preferences and sequential data interactions. © 2024 IEEE.

The Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) is a cutting-edge solution designed to address multiple aspects of traffic management and safety. This advanced system incorporates various technologies to tackle issues such ashelmet compliance, traffic signal violations, number plate identification, cell phone usage tracking, and proximity-based police station alerts. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, the ITMS can accurately detect and enforce helmet compliance among motorcyclists, ultimately reducing the risk of head injuries in road accidents. Furthermore, the system utilizes advanced video analytics to detect violations of traffic signals, ensuring that motorists adhere to traffic rules and regulations. Additionally, the ITMS employs automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology to quickly and efficiently identify vehicles with illegal or expired license plates, enabling law enforcement agencies to take appropriate action. Moreover, the system includes a cell phone usage tracking feature which uses computer vision techniques to identify drivers who are using their phones while driving, contributing toa decrease in distracted driving incidents. Lastly, by introducing proximity-based police station alerts, the system offers a comprehensive approach to address challenges and improve efficiency, the ITMS enables prompt response from law enforcement agencies by automatically notifying the nearest police station in the event of a traffic violation or accident. In summary, the Intelligent Traffic Management System provides a comprehensive and holistic approach to management and safety through itsfeatures of helmet compliance, traffic signal violation detection, number plate identification, cell phone usage tracking, and proximity-based police station alerts. © 2024 IEEE.

Churn, a common concern among business leaders, poses a significant challenge in today's fast-paced world where consumer attention spans are short. This research focuses on churn analysis within the OTT streaming platform sector, essential for retaining subscribers and ensuring business longevity. Utilising data preprocessing methods and machine learning algorithms, this study aims to identify factors influencing churn and provide insights for targeted retention strategies. The dataset includes 16 variables, with churn serving as the binary-dependent variable. Data preprocessing involved addressing missing values and converting categorical data into numerical format. Four machine learning models-Random Forest, XGBoost, K-Nearest Neighbors, and Support Vector Machine-were applied, with Random Forest achieving the highest accuracy of 89%. Evaluation metrics like confusion matrices, ROC curves, and Precision-Recall curves were used to evaluate model performance, revealing Random Forest's effectiveness in churn prediction. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was employed to handle the complexity of user data, aiding in the identification of influential churn factors. This study emphasises the importance of understanding customer behaviour and utilising machine learning to forecast subscription choices. The insights gained provide valuable guidance to OTT companies for enhancing customer satisfaction and retention strategies, ensuring competitiveness in a dynamic industry landscape. © 2024 IEEE.

The goal of this research is to develop a machine learning-based method for predicting several diseases in women, with an emphasis on polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOs), diabetes, heart disease, and breast cancer. Timely and accurate prediction of these disorders is essential for early intervention and prevention due to their impact on women's health and prevalence. Predictive models are trained using a wide variety of medical data, including genetic markers, lifestyle factors, demographic data, and clinical test findings. To find patterns and connections between these predictors and the incidence of diseases, machine learning methods are used, such as decision trees, random forests, and support vector machines. The models are able to forecast with accuracy the probability that a woman would develop one or more of these diseases by efficiently obtaining and evaluating data from these datasets. Metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score are used to assess the models' performance;the outcomes demonstrate the models' promising levels of predictive power. The creation of a system like this can facilitate targeted screening and preventive measures, assist medical practitioners in identifying high-risk individuals, and eventually lead to better patient outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

Quantum Key Distribution or QKD revolutionizes secure communication using quantum mechanics. Unlike traditional cryptographic methods vulnerable to advances in computing power, QKD guarantees unconditional security by detecting any eavesdropping attempt. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) constitutes a through development in the realm of secure communications by utilizing the ideas of quantum mechanics to provide potentially unbreakable encryption. This study examines the most current advancements in QKD, including the recently announced Measurement-Device-Independent QKD (MDI-QKD) and protocols like BB84 and E91. We analyze the real-world implementation, including satellite-based QKD and quantum repeaters. Furthermore, we discuss the challenges and opportunities of integrating QKD into present communication infrastructure. The significance of QKD in attaining secure communication networks for the next generation is underscored by our findings, which also have ramifications for forthcoming research and applications. Ultimately, this research aims to contribute to the development of robust and impenetrable communication networks in an increasingly interconnected world. © 2024 IEEE.

In the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) landscape, where the Cloud-to-Things Continuum (C2TC) paradigm is now a reality, industrial applications need to cope with highly heterogeneous network and computing resources. Moreover, many industrial applications also involve Mobile Nodes (MNs). Efficient allocation of network and computing resources to meet the stringent requirements of such applications is often a very challenging task. In this paper, we propose J-NECORA (Joint NEtwork and COmputing Resource Allocation), a comprehensive analytical framework to derive the optimal joint allocation of network and computing resources in the C2TC, that guarantees the application requirements, even in the presence of MNs. If the optimal allocation does not exist, J-NECORA provides a best-effort allocation that minimizes the delay. The proposed framework is highly modular and flexible, and can be easily customized to different scenarios. We validated its effectiveness through simulation experiments, focusing on a specific use case. For the considered scenarios, the performance predicted by our framework matches quite closely the simulation results. © 2014 IEEE.
