Many approaches have been proposed for the problems, like manual diagnosis of crops and soil by experts. But this one is actually a very time-consuming activity. With the advancement of technology, many approaches have been made using machine learning, like image processing techniques, deep convolutional neural networks, segmentation techniques based on neutrosophic logic, etc. However, most of these methods were slow or had implemented complex algorithms that made them unsuitable for being used as an Android app. So, in this paper, a rice leaf disease detection and classification model using region-based convolutional neural networks and deep learning has been proposed. Using this approach, we have successfully developed a model to detect and classify diseases with an accuracy of 94.4%. Determining the type of disease in crops may help the farmers take timely measures and, therefore, avoid the loss. © 2024 IEEE.

technology is very volatile in nature, in a way that it keeps on changing daily. Restaurants are no different in the effects of this changing scenario. The primary objective of this research paper is to explore the historical trajectory of restaurants, analyze the current trends shaping the industry, and delve into the potential of chatbot integration to overcome existing challenges. Chatbots can play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance of businesses as per the research done. An integrated Dialog Flow application has been proposed, incorporating Rule-based grammar matching and M.L matching algorithms. This proposed work is trying to make NLP-based chatbots which may expedite the endeavor of businesses to produce and become profitable. © 2024 IEEE.

Lay summarization aims to generate summaries of technical articles for non-experts, enabling easy comprehension for a general audience. The technical language used in research often hinders effective communication of scientific knowledge, making it difficult for non-experts to understand. Automatic lay summarization can enhance access to scientific literature, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge sharing and public understanding. This has become especially important for biomedical articles, given the current global need for clear medical information. Large Language Models (LLMs) (Yao et al., 2024), with their remarkable language understanding capabilities, are ideal for abstractive summarization, helping to make complex information accessible to the public. This paper details our submissions to the BioLaySumm 2024 Shared Task: Lay Summarization of Biomedical Research Articles (Goldsack et al., 2024). We fine-tune and evaluate sequence-to-sequence models like T5 across various training dataset settings and optimization methods such as LoRA (Hu et al., 2021b) for lay summarization. Air pollution is a global issue of concern. Accurate prediction of the air quality index (AQI) plays a crucial role in understanding pollution patterns and implementing effective mitigation strategies. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on the application of ensemble learning techniques for AQI prediction, aiming to enhance prediction accuracy and provide insights into the driving factors behind pollution levels. The primary objective is to conduct a comparative analysis of homogenous ensemble method, namely, bagging in conjunction with individual base models, such as multiple linear regression, support vector regression, decision trees, and artificial neural networks. In total we have created 4 non-ensembled models and 4 ensembled models. Additionally, the research investigates the importance of different features in AQI prediction models, aiming to identify the key factors influencing air pollution. Hyperparameter tuning is done to optimize the models. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Affective state plays a key role in emotion recognition, influencing various applications from mental health evaluation to human-machine interaction. These states can be described using two primary aspects: valence, which indicates the pleasantness of the speech, and arousal, which relates to the intensity of the emotion. This study aims to automate the prediction of valence and arousal values from speech data, addressing the limitations of manual annotation and human error. The IIITSAINT-EMOMDB dataset, created from Malayalam films, uses the Circumplex Model of Affect to map emotions such as happy, sad, angry, and calm. The approach leverages machine learning models, including Support Vector Regression (SVR), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), for prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that the traditional models like SVR and ANN are outperformed by the CNN model, which achieved a mean squared error (MSE) of 0.3 for valence and 0.1 for arousal. These findings highlight the power of automated emotion recognition in large-scale audio datasets, offering promising applications in affective computing and psychological analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Short message spam poses a significant threat for all mobile phone users, as it can act as an efficient tool for cyberattacks including spreading malware and phishing. Traditional anti-spam measures are only minimally effective against modern spammers. Intelligent analysis of the content to categorise the messages as Spam (unwanted and unsolicited) or Ham (useful messages) is therefore essential to safeguard the user from such attacks. Various artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are proving to be useful in the analysis of the content of such short messages to classify and filter spam. We have trained, validated and tested seven such AI techniques on the SMS spam collection dataset to identify the best model for designing and developing a content based classification system. Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) have shown the highest performance metrics (Test Accuracy: 99.28%) and hence our proposed system includes a RNN model for classification. A web app of this system has also been deployed where a single SMS can be input and the designed system can classify it as Spam or Ham. The designed system is compared against existing systems and is found to be significantly better. © 2024 IEEE.

The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques has been prevalent in various applications and the gradual increase in implementation towards healthcare sectors has scaled up. computer aided diagnosis has emerged as a major research area directed toward efficient use of resources. Fracture of bone has been a popular health problem associated with risk for mortality. Fractures are frequent in the long bones or the weight-bearing bones. AI techniques to accurately detect and classify fractures are still a challenging task beyond the conventional methods. Our objective is to assess the effectiveness of multiple algorithms in identifying and categorizing ankle fractures using radiological images. This review paper focuses on several available approaches of Deep-Learning (DL) and Machine-Learning (ML) regarding Ankle Fracture Classification and Identification based on Radiological Images for Medical Applications. The goal is to assist physicians and orthopaedics with simple and realistic decision support systems. In addition to a comprehensive analysis of the research, this study looked at several real-world examples of AI applications in the healthcare industry. Consequently, it is critical to have a fundamental grasp of these ML and DL algorithms to be ready for upcoming advancements in AI. We have reviewed and classified scientific conference and journal articles used for various AI techniques and offer future utility as a comparative analysis for further research in healthcare sectors. © 2024 IEEE.

Multispectral satellite image classification is crucial in remote sensing and image analysis, serving various applications like water area extraction, urban region classification, and vegetation monitoring. Model-based classification, particularly supervised learning approaches, heavily relies on manually annotated training samples, which are labor-intensive and subject to human bias. However, solely depending on features derived from individual pixels may fail to capture spatial contextual information effectively and manage mixed pixels and various types of noise, resulting in classification inaccuracies. To address these challenges, this research proposes a novel unsupervised learning approach and automatic labeling technique (ALT). This approach utilizes collective information from groups of pixels instead of relying solely on individual pixels for identification and extraction of meaningful unique patterns which serves as the most significant factor for satellite image classification. A new similarity index, the patch similarity index (PSI), is generated by incorporating the rank correlation similarity index (RCSI). The PSI is used to determine the similarity factor both between the patches and within the patch. Subsequently, a clustering algorithm is employed to group pixels into four distinct classes: vegetation, water, built-ups, and open land. Additionally, ALT streamlines the post-classification process by reducing the need for manual intervention in mapping clusters to the actual class label. The proposed method offers a more accurate and reliable unsupervised classification for multispectral satellite imagery, promising enhanced efficiency and reduced manual labor. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Human Resource (HR) management is one important section that increases the success of an organization to handle some important functions like employee data manipulation, attendance tracking, payroll processing, and performance evaluation. With the management of these processes becoming key to the success of small-scale startups, it poses a very big challenge for many of them to be able to manage these processes efficiently and cost efficient. By contrast, the old era of traditional HR systems was based on database driven architectures that are expensive in terms of operational cost, require storage space and complex infrastructural needs. These limitations often make traditional HR systems impossible for a startup that would prefer lightweight, affordable, and scalable solutions. Startups need robust platforms to streamline HR work streams, but often lack with financial resources for building complex database driven systems. In this paper, an AI powered HR management system is developed to simplify employee management processes for small scale startups. In this system. cache memory is used instead of traditional databases, thereby the operational cost of the system will be reduced for storage and retrieval of employee details. Automated Attendance Management enhanced with Face Recognition technology, Payroll Management, Leave Management, Feedback Submission modules are included. It is integrated with an AI powered chatbot, which facilitates a smooth interaction by the employees with query for information, submit leave requests and pull up all payroll information etc. A user-friendly dashboard for a consolidated view of employee profiles, attendance records, leave approvals, and payroll data can be served over an optimized and time efficient HR workflow. This system addresses the needs of the startups such as flexible usage, cost effective operations and improved resource management. © 2025 IEEE.

The role of Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) is crucial in enabling Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies such as safe financial transactions, media applications, and effective traffic control. As traffic increases, the topology of vehicular networks is in constant flux, and the sparse distribution of vehicles, particularly on highways, presents challenges for network scalability. This situation makes it difficult for cars to keep consistent routes inside the network, which affects the stability of the network. To address these challenges, the developed Adaptive-ant Colony based Randomized Recommendation (ACRR) technique emerges as a unique solution for enhancing VANETs by reducing travel time. In instances of high traffic density on busy roads, the ACRR algorithm is effectively utilized to group vehicles. Leveraging data collected from these densely populated road segments, the system identifies congestion-prone areas and formulates optimal vehicle routes based on customized vehicle groupings. The framework's performance evaluation encompasses various parameters, including packet loss, message transmission rate, energy consumption, and average cluster growth. The proposed VANET framework, empowered by the ACRR algorithm, achieves an impressive message transmission rate of approximately 80%. In comparison, alternative methods like Re-RouTE exhibit a limited transmission rate of 70%, while others such as Net Run Rate (NRR), DIVERT 30, and DIVERT-60 demonstrate rates below 20%. Furthermore, the framework's parcel loss is significantly reduced to only 33% of that observed in the standard VANET framework. As a result, the ACRR algorithm integrated into the VANET framework demonstrates notable efficiency when compared to other approaches. It is crucial to recognize that, even with a refined technique, managing traffic congestion remains challenging if drivers disregard the recommended routing suggestions.
