The processing power of CPUs is increasing day by day, but systems often struggle to fully utilize this power due to the bottleneck of file access time from the disk. Over the years, various techniques have been devised to reduce I/O latency while considering various file parameters. Our survey paper aims to shed light on these techniques, efficiently comparing them and highlighting the benefits and drawbacks of each approach. For our evaluation, we have considered various file parameters, such as access time, file size, directory structure, and kernel execution flow. We have combined these parameters with a range of supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, including Decision Tree, ABLE, RNN, GNN, CART, XGBoost, CNN, and more. This survey aims to highlight the use of ML/AI algorithms in the intelligent detection of file access and I/O patterns to optimize the performance of modern applications.

Molecular noise and signaling abnormalities in biochemical signaling systems in cells affect signaling events and consequently may alter cellular decision making results. Since unexpected and altered cellular decisions may contribute to the development of many pathological conditions and diseases, it is of interest to develop proper models to characterize and measure molecular signal detection parameters and cellular decisions. In this paper and using the Neyman-Pearson signal detection theorem, we propose a signal detection model in which the cell maximizes its signal detection probability in the presence of noise. To evaluate the usefulness of the proposed model, we use measured molecular experimental data of the important TNF-NF-κB cell signaling system. Our results demonstrate that the proposed model provides biologically relevant findings. The introduced Neyman-Pearson-based molecular signal detection framework allows to systematically model and quantify the signal detection behavior and failure of molecular signaling systems, and compute their key decision making parameters such as detection and false alarm probabilities. With regard to the specific TNF-NF-κB system case study in this paper and given the high involvement of the transcription factor NF-κB in cell survival, programmed cell death, immune signaling and stress response, the developed signal detection framework can serve as a useful tool to model the associated cell decision making processes. © 2023 IEEE.

Digital watermarking of interactive media content has become an active experimentation field in recent years. In addition to reviewing some of the methods that have been developed for various media types;a general structure for watermark engrafting and identification is outlined. We highlight a few of these application-oriented differences, including copyright protection, substantiation, tamper identification, and data hiding, as well as the technological and system conditions for different media types such as digital photos, digital files, digital audio, and text. We describe a general structure for digital watermarking-based image copyright protection in this approach. In this paper, we outline the pre-processing and implementation of tide marking technique where Twofish algorithm and double encryption is described. The image processing toolbox is also specified by comparing five different image processing techniques. In addition, the post implementation is carried out with the wavelet toolbox and matlab coder to analyze signal, image properties and generate the efficient code for embedding the text. © 2024 IEEE.

In an age of information and digital communication, social media platforms are becoming essential spaces where individuals can voice their thoughts, exchange ideas, and take part in discussions on a variety of subjects. High quality and high value datasets of such ideas and discussions in textual and formatted form are fundamental to the research aspects of Artificial Intelligence and data-science. In this paper, we present a dataset of indirect harassment. There are approximately 10,700 tweets with binary labels. The labels were assigned by a team of researchers collectively. The dataset contains approximately 19 percent positive indirect harassment labels and 81 percent negative indirect harassment labels. The data is useful for training and running machine and deep learning models to detect indirect and direct harassment. The ease in understanding the data for researchers and other peers is also very crucial. The corpus mentioned in this paper is easy to understand via the use of a binary label. The data is simplistic in nature because there are only two columns with one being the text and the other being the indirect label. This work was necessary because it was a component of a larger project that also needed this kind of dataset.

To accommodate the rapid adoption of the commu-nity to new types of transportation, namely electric vehicles whose demand is increasing rapidly, the need for reliable charging materials has increased. In addition, alternative energy sources such as wind and solar energy become needed to help sustain the supply of local electricity grids that are under pressure and need support abundant and cheap alternative energy systems, excellent and affordable alternative energy systems are supposed to help provide energy. Hi, current electricity needs. Therefore, this new refueling station has emerged globally for being praised for being innovative based on renewable energy. Looking at the development of studies related to this type of alternative refueling, We wrote our observations on studies related to alternative refueling in this paper. Resources, potential, planning, control, and pricing are areas of comprehensive research that we present in this paper. Methods such as the appropriate load arrangement of the interval system on storage and control methods on design management and others will be discussed in the article. They will focus on controlling resources that will address the problems that previous research has had. And learning and clarifying the challenges faced and providing suggestions for solutions that meet the challenges regarding this study are also part of the observations we made in this paper. Providing an understanding and overview of this study is our goal in creating this paper so that readers can better understand this study more deeply and build the foundation for further research on this field. Providing solutions to be able to create charging resources that can utilize renewable resources more efficiently and develop use in the community is the goal of this research. © 2022 IEEE.

Internet of Things (IoT)-where the physical components are able to communicate with each other and with the internet-is one of the driving forces behind the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Nowadays, IoT applications have become widespread across many industries. However, due to the resource-constrained nature of IoT devices, they cannot be secured using conventional security protocols that are already developed. Hence, lightweight implementations of IoT security are the need of the hour. This paper proposes a secure and tamper-resistant system for monitoring the status of items in a container during transportation and storage using IoT devices. As smart logistics often transport items that are sensitive to environmental changes such as temperature and humidity, the security of data obtained from these sensors is the main focus of this research. To evaluate the performance of the system, a pilot-scale silo has been fabricated. Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) is used as the communication protocol and a lightweight implementation of Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) protocol has been adapted for the smart container architecture to incorporate cryptographic security. The low power consumption of the lightweight DTLS-secured CoAP implementation will drastically increase the efficiency of the smart logistics architecture without compromising its security. © 2021 IEEE.

The advent of Programmable Wireless Environments (PWEs) has transformed the wireless propagation phenomenon into a software-defined resource, leveraging Software-defined metasurfaces (SDMs). These new technologies have shown that wireless waves can be routed within a space, contrary to the regular, chaotic wireless propagation, yielding considerable benefits to communication efficiency, and even completely new applications. A new topic has risen, in the context of modeling these capabilities as network resources, and allocating them to users. In this context, the present paper contributes HERA, a heuristic resource allocator that receives a setup with users and SDMs as input, and produces the necessary configuration of the latter, for efficient shared performance. Simulation results demonstrate considerable efficiency in this task, while the heuristic nature of HERA sets the basis for a flexible definition of complex user objectives in the future. © 2024 IEEE.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) refers to the use of interconnected smart devices, sensors, and other technologies to create a network of intelligent systems that can monitor and manage industrial processes. 6TiSCH (IPv6 over the Time Slotted Channel Hopping mode of IEEE 802.15.4e) as an enabling technology facilitates low-power and low-latency communication between IoT devices in industrial environments. The Routing Protocol for Low power and lossy networks (RPL), which is used as the de-facto routing protocol for 6TiSCH networks is observed to suffer from several limitations, especially during congestion in the network. Therefore, there is an immediate need for some modifications to the RPL to deal with this problem. Under traffic load which keeps on changing continuously at different instants of time, the proposed mechanism aims at finding the appropriate parent for a node that can forward the packet to the destination through the least congested path with minimal packet loss. This facilitates congestion management under dynamic traffic loads. For this, a new metric for routing using the concept of exponential weighting has been proposed, which takes the number of packets present in the queue of the node into account when choosing the parent at a particular instance of time. Additionally, the paper proposes a parent selection and swapping mechanism for congested networks. Performance evaluations are carried out in order to validate the proposed work. The results show an improvement in the performance of RPL under heavy and dynamic traffic loads. © 2024, CC BY.

Perovskite (CH3NH3PbI3) solar cells (PSCs) have recently been invented due to their desirable characteristics such as high absorption, low cost, ease of fabrication, and rapidly improving efficiencies. In recent years, the effectiveness of organometallic halide perovskite as an absorber layer has already surpassed 20%. Dielectric nanostructures are being considered as a possible option for third generation photovoltaics, such as PSCs, due to lower losses and simpler fabrication. Dielectric nanostructured antireflection coatings, on the other hand, have recently emerged as a method for reducing reflection and improving the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of a thin-film absorber that was previously inefficient. In this research, two different types of nanostructures are used on the perovskite absorber layer that reduced light reflection and enhanced the power absorption, short-circuit current, and efficiency of the solar cells. Furthermore, as demonstrated how changing the nanostructure size has an effect on the absorption enhancement. Utilizing the finite difference time domain (FDTD) and coupled optical-electrical models, the proposed optimum nanostructures exhibit greater than 90% power absorption, with the maximum enhanced photocurrent. Total photocurrent increased by 17-20% compared to conventional planar PSCs, with a maximum PCE of 16.78%, representing 37% enhancement throughout the entire wavelength range. © 2022 IEEE.
