The rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) brings numerous benefits but further presents fresh difficulties, especially in terms of security. The distributed and interconnected nature of IoT devices makes them susceptible to various security threats. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) plays a crucial role in safeguarding IoT networks by monitoring, detecting, and responding to potential security incidents. The Internet of Things (IoT) connects billions of devices, sensors, and systems, transforming industries and everyday life. However, this extensive interconnectivity also introduces significant security risks, making Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) a critical component for safeguarding IoT environments. Feature selection is a crucial aspect of building effective Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Selecting relevant features not only helps in achieving better classification accuracy but also contributes to reducing false alarm rates. In the proposed system a moth flame optimizer is utilized to select the efficient features from the dataset, overall accuracy of over 97%. Further it is classified employing Random Forest and J48 classifier which attains high classification accuracy and low false alarm rate. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

The paper presents a system for infrared energy harvesting. The system consists of two antennas. One antenna works at the near-infrared (1um wavelength) and accepts power from solar radiation. The estimated accepted power is higher than that can be received by conventional solar cells. The other antenna accepts power radiated from the earth's surface at a wavelength of 10 um. The estimated received power reaches 250 watts per square meter when the antenna gains 3 dB. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper presents the design and implementation of an Internet of Thing (IOT)-based long-distance fire-extinguishment system named 'Stationary 3-Axis Fire-Emergency Response Base' (STAFERB). The system aims to provide immediate response to fire hazards in various environments, including residential areas, building complexes, commercial areas, small-scale industries, large factories, dense slum areas, and remotely located forest regions. The proposed STAFERB is designed to receive fire location coordinates, fire intensity, and probable cause information. It then calculates the path of a projectile based on considering obstacles and self-detection of a clear line of sight to reach the t1arget location. The system uses this information to select the appropriate speed and type of fire retardant. The designed STAFERB features robust communication, self-path detection, auto-orientation, and reduced response time, making it a significant advancement in fire-fighting technology. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed STAFERB in mitigating fire hazards and hence can be well suited for real-time disaster management. © 2025 IEEE.

The rapid increase in urban vehicle numbers has significantly worsened traffic congestion, particularly in public parking spaces, where conventional parking systems often prove inefficient, leading to wasted time, excessive fuel consumption, and increased environmental pollution. A Smart Car Parking System is proposed to address these challenges by integrating advanced technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), to optimize parking operations. The system employs sensors embedded in parking spaces to detect vehicle presence and provide real-time data on availability. This enables drivers to locate free parking spaces efficiently, improving traffic flow. Additionally, the system offers valuable insights to city planners and facility managers, supporting optimal space allocation and dynamic pricing models. By reducing vehicle idling and unnecessary driving while searching for parking, the system helps minimize emissions, contributing to environmental sustainability. The study builds an automated smart car parking system for parking slot monitoring and gate control. The system ensures correct slot occupancy reading, status displayed in real time, and smooth operation of an opening and closing system. It manages additional features such as real-time sensor calibration and effective gate control with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. The proposed Smart Car Parking System represents a key innovation in urban mobility, offering a user-friendly, efficient, and ecofriendly solution to one of the most persistent challenges faced by modern cities. © 2025 IEEE.

The deepfake generation of singing vocals is a concerning issue for artists in the music industry. In this work, we propose a singing voice deepfake detection (SVDD) system, which uses noise-variant encodings of open-AI's Whisper model. As counter-intuitive as it may sound, even though the Whisper model is known to be noise-robust, the encodings are rich in non-speech information, and are noise-variant. This leads us to evaluate Whisper encodings as feature representations for the SVDD task. Therefore, in this work, the SVDD task is performed on vocals and mixtures, and the performance is evaluated in %EER over varying Whisper model sizes and two classifiers-CNN and ResNet34, under different testing conditions. © 2025 IEEE.

DNA-based encryption with bioinformatics has emerged as a promising field for secure data storage and transfer. This study analyzes the bioinformatics aspects of DNA cryptography, focusing on important advancements and challenges. We look at techniques like DNA origami, enzymatic reactions, and DNA strand displacement that use DNA sequences to encode and decode data. Additionally discussed are the security implications of DNA-based cryptography, including privacy issues, data integrity issues, and the potential for DNA-based attacks. Finally, we outline some possible directions for further review, such as developing more robust error-correction systems, looking at cutting-edge DNA-based encryption methods using bioinformatics, and addressing the ethical and societal implications of this emerging technology. © 2025 IEEE.

This research examines artificial intelligence ethics implementation across diverse cultural contexts through case studies in healthcare, finance, education, and corporate sectors. Using mixed-methods analysis across six cultural regions, the study reveals fundamental variations in approaches to AI ethics, particularly regarding data privacy and human-technology relationships. The integration of Western, Eastern, and African perspectives yields three frameworks: a cultural intelligence model for AI development, an adaptive governance mechanism, and a cross-cultural collaboration approach. Electric vehicles (EVs) are surging in popularity globally, offering a greener and more energy-efficient alternative to traditional cars. Our research aims to develop an RFID based system designed to automate EV charging with minimal user input. This system integrates RFID readers, tags, a microcontroller, and a relay module to manage and monitor charging sessions efficiently. An IoT platform supports real time monitoring and remote control, while a secure payment mechanism handles transactions seamlessly. RFID tags identify vehicles for automatic charging initiation, and the relay module prevents overcharging by disconnecting power after a set time. The system uses MQTT for data transmission and offers real-Time insights into energy use and account balances. All information is updated and displayed in real-Time on the server. MySQL ensures scalability, enabling effective handling of large volumes of data. The mobile application dashboard provides a view of the charging and discharging processes for user monitoring, and an email notification is sent after the recharge. EV battery charging status is monitored through visual graphs. Key benefits include a streamlined user experience, improved charging management, and support for EV adoption. This innovation advances sustainable mobility with a user friendly, efficient charging solution. © 2025 IEEE.

This study's main objective is to look at strategies, for avoiding underwater collisions and planning trajectories while navigating around static obstacles. Traditional Artificial Potential Fields (APF) face challenges such as getting stuck in local minima, which diminishes the path's optimality. Additionally, conventional APF often results in trajectories characterized by sharp turns or sudden changes in direction, particularly in environments populated with numerous obstacles. These obstacles can significantly hinder Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) that depend on smooth trajectories for maintaining stability and control. To address these drawbacks, we present the Hybrid A∗ - Artificial Potential Field (HA-APF) algorithm. When using AUVs for collision avoidance duties, adherence to safety procedures is crucial. We propose an enhanced HA-APF algorithm to address this issue for efficient path planning and collision avoidance. Additionally, the A∗ algorithm, which has been altered to mitigate the innate problems with local optimality in the conventional APF approach, is used in conjunction with the improved APF technique. Finally, validations are conducted in three different regions with different beginning and finishing positions. These tests show how feasible and successful the suggested algorithm is in assisting AUVs in avoiding collisions while also carrying out path-planning duties. Through this work, we provide a robust tool for advancing AUV capabilities in real-world applications, ultimately allowing for more effective underwater exploration and intervention. © 2025 IEEE.

The development of effective multi-objective optimization strategies for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) operating in uncharted territories constitutes a considerable challenge. This endeavor necessitates the simultaneous minimization of travel time, reduction of path length, enhancement of navigational safety, and smoothing of trajectories. In light of these challenges, this research presents an innovative real-time path planning framework that seamlessly integrates Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with Simulated Annealing (SA), thereby enhancing AUV navigation within static environments. The PSO algorithm is utilized to generate optimal temporary waypoints across the scenarios examined, by balancing the crucial optimization parameters. Subsequently, an optimal path is formulated, informed by both the initial and terminal points. The efficacy of the proposed methodology is assessed through simulations conducted across three distinct maps. Each obstacle map demonstrates varying densities of obstacles. The outcomes of these simulations emphasize the robustness and adaptability of the proposed strategy, highlighting its ability to formulate optimal paths within complex underwater environments, irrespective of the arrangement of obstacles. The AUVs display remarkable agility in maneuvering through intricate underwater landscapes, adept.y avoiding debris and obstacles while preserving operational efficiency. This enhanced path planning technique not only elevates the responsiveness of the AUVs during critical missions - such as search and rescue operations and structural assessments - but also significantly bolsters their overall navigational safety. Through this research, we introduce a formidable tool for enhancing AUV capabilities in practical applications, ultimately facilitating more efficient underwater exploration and intervention. © 2025 IEEE.
