In the proposed article, an innovative approach for the segmentation of region of interest (ROI) based on fuzzy and neural network (SOM-self organizing map) is investigated. In image analysis, clustering is an unique imperative practice wherein the complete data is separated as group of pixels and/or regions using its features. A satellite image is huge collection information. Many approaches and algorithms suggested for the dissection of satellite imagesto extract the indispensable and hidden information. In this work, fuzzy based FCM, PCM, PFCM, MFCM and SOM is applied to the satellite images to retrieve the information. The proposed method transforms the image in RG to HSL model prior to clustering. HSL model has some distinct characteristics such as perceptual, intuitive, polar coordinated, approximate the vision. The segmentation result is validated with image quality measures. © 2023 IEEE.

The dynamic resource allocation and security strategies for cooperative relaying systems proposed here provide significant performance improvements along with robust security features over traditional methods. The method improves throughput, energy efficiency and secrecy capacity by dynamically provisioning resources according to real-time network conditions in conjunction with its interference-suppression techniques such adaptive beamforming and artificial noise. The system is quite good at preventing eavesdropping, and it has such high signal-to-noise ratios that there is a very low error rate. The use case results show that the integrated framework optimizes resource consumption while mitigating security threats, thereby offering a trade-off between existing solutions thus solving some of their shortcomings. Our work demonstrates the opportunity for efficient and secure communication in dynamic environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Modern electric power systems with high levels of penetration of renewable energy sources (RES) often present frequency security problems. The lack of inertia due to the reduced number of synchronous generators in these systems, in combination with the usual inability of RES to provide frequency support, leads to system operators having to curtail RES or rely heavily on Under Frequency Load Shedding schemes to ensure frequency security. Fast Frequency Reserves (FFR) have been proposed as a solution to strengthen the frequency support of the system and alleviate security problems. FFR allows mitigating Rate of Change of Frequency, Nadir, and post-fault frequency steady-state problems after an event. In this paper, we present, analyze, implement and compare five FFR controllers to alleviate frequency security problems in low-inertia grids. The low-inertia, islanded, Cyprus dynamic model is used to quantify the results and exhibit the impact on a real system. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a system of two-hop hybrid communication system that uses a decode and forward relaying to share the data between source and destination. The radio channel is modeled through η-μ fading distribution due to versatile its nature to accommodate most of the different models of fading such as Rayleigh, Rician, and Nakagami-q fading. In this paper, the expressions of outage probability and channel capacity are derived of the proposed system using Meijer's-G function. Numerical results are obtained and analyzed by simulating the derived expressions of considered system by varying the different fading parameters. © 2022 IEEE.

Hyperspectral Image (HSI) consisting of numerous high-resolution spectral bands creates challenges of the high dimensionality problem in HSI classification which hinder real-life applications despite their abundance of information. We present a lossy compression approach using stacked autoencoders to reduce high dimensionality problem in this paper. The pro-posed method utilizes stacked autoencoders to extract features from HSIs, allowing compression and subsequent reconstruction. The study demonstrates improved Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) of 70.43, 60.87 and 61.36 on three distinct HSI datasets-Salinas, Botswana, and KSC respectively compared to previous autoencoder-based compression method. Additionally, the impact of compression on classification accuracy is assessed using a 3D-2D CNN model, achieving an average accuracy of 99 % across the datasets. Improved compression along with high classification accuracy shows our proposed method's usefulness. © 2024 IEEE.

Food is one of the essential needs for human survival. In the present era, there is a rapid increase in the population and emerging growth of technology in the developing countries around the globe. Due to the population increase, there is a demand for an abundant food supply. Most of the food products have a shorter shelf life. It is necessary to maintain food products at a certain temperature so that they can be preserved for a longer duration. There arises a necessity to develop a device that can monitor and maintain the food products. This research seeks to design a cold storage device that can monitor essential food storage specifications such as temperature, humidity, pressure, light and gas compositions like ammonia, methane, carbon dioxide and so on. The cold storage also alerts the user when a parameter passes through the threshold value. The cold storage device can be instated in a moving truck carrying food products as well as in a storage warehouse. It also has a Global Positioning system (GPS) module for the purpose of tracking the real time location of the transporting truck and it also provides a theft alert in the warehouse. Further the user can control the exceeded threshold value from any remote location. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, research on lightweighting of Deep Neural Network(DNN) models suitable for embedded IoT devices and edge computing is rapidly increasing. One of the important points of lightweighting DNN is model parameter optimization. Parameter precision increases model accuracy, but also increases memory and processing overhead. In this paper, we developed a parameter bitwise adjustment framework of DNN models to analyze the correlation between model's parameter precision and performance. The framework can set each bit of parameter value to 0, 1, or random in a specific range for DNN models. With the framework we measured the accuracy of the model while modifying the parameter values to 0 by step by step from LSB, for three representative CNN models. As a result, it was identified that the accuracy robustness for the range of valid parameters is different each other depending on the model. © 2024 IEEE.

In the post-pandemic era, online learning has become a prevalent mode of education. To ensure effective monitoring of learners' engagement in online courses, this study proposes a novel method for real-time monitoring of learners' learning focus. It is divided into three main components: The first component is eye detection. We utilize Dlib technology and leverage pre-trained facial landmark detection to accurately identify the positions of the eyes. Through image processing and the application of appropriate thresholds (thresholds set above 190), this enables precise outlining of eye contours and recognition of eye movement characteristics, even during rapid eye movements or from varying angles. The second component is gaze estimation. By using adaptive thresholds for pupil segmentation and applying erosion and dilation to reduce image noise and enhance essential features, we can effectively determine pupil positions within images taken under varying photographic resolutions and lighting conditions. Angle calculation is subsequently employed to determine whether learners are concentrating on online learning courses. The third component involves an anti-cheating mechanism. By utilizing pupil-centered corneal reflex (PCCR) technology to address potential cheating behaviors of learners, an anti-cheating mechanism is proposed to detect and counter fraudulent tactics such as photos and makeup. Experimental results demonstrate that this study is capable of effectively monitoring learners' learning status and accurately determining whether learners exhibit appropriate learning attitudes and behaviors. This empowers a comprehensive assessment of learners' learning outcomes during the period of online learning. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the most anticipated approaches to overcoming the uncertainty of millimeter wave (mmWave) network is the deployment of ultra-dense small-cells in future fifth generation (5G). In order to produce a seamless and extremely dependable user mobility connection, mobility management is a crucial issue that needs to be solved. Given that fourth generation (4G) networks and 5G ultra dense small cells coexist, handover (HO) in heterogeneous networks (HetNets) has brought attention. The most frequent mobility problems in HetNets are handover rate and failure, which can be prevented by modifying handover control parameters (HCPs) such time-to-trigger (TTT) and handover margin (HOM). In this paper, a dynamic HCPs algorithm is proposed in HetNets that adapts HOM and TTT based on user speed and received signal reference power (RSRP). Furthermore, in a high-speed environment, the RSRP signal is used to predict travel time in order to reduce the number of unnecessary handover (UHO) and HO failure. For various user mobile speed scenarios, the proposed algorithm was compared to static HCPs. Finally, according to the simulation results, the dynamic HCPs algorithm greatly lowers the handover rate (HOR), handover ping pong rate (HOPP), and handover failure rate (HOF), hence enhancing network performance at varied mobile speeds. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper suggests a complete security architecture that blends quantum key distribution (QKD) with cutting-edge machine learning methods to improve the Software-Defined Networking (SDN) control plane. By creating secure channels of communication through QKD, the framework ensures integrity and secrecy of control messages between the SDN controller and network devices. Furthermore, network traffic is continuously monitored and analyzed using machine learning techniques, enabling the detection of unusual behaviors that might be warning signs of upcoming security problems. Tests utilizing Mininet as the network interface and Open Daylight as the SDN controller proved the efficacy of the suggested method. The outcomes revealed a minimal computational overhead, exceptional detection accuracy up to 98.1%, and low false positive rates, substantiating the system's ability to effectively manage varied network conditions and traffic volumes. These results underscore the potential of integrating QKD with robust machine learning strategies to secure the SDN control plane against sophisticated threats. © 2024 IEEE.
