For an AI tic-tac-toe manipulator application, a real-time vision-based approach is proposed. The technique employs the RealSense camera to capture color and dept. images. Combining object detection and image processing techniques to identify X's and O's positions on the game board. However, we recognize that errors can occur during object movement when using only 2D images. To solve this problem, a calibration method between RealSense and the manipulator based on the point-to-plane ICP algorithm is presented. This method provides the 3D object position in the robot coordinate, resulting in increasing the accuracy from 86.25% to 97.25%. Our experiment shows that this technique is highly effective and can accurately identify position objects. © 2024 IEEE.

The role of image segmentation is inevitable in image analysis. There are many algorithms and methods for image segmentation. However it is tricky to choose best possible clustering procedure. The proper selection of clustering method leads to the successful outcome in image analysis. In segmentation process, data is fragmented into some reasonable regions (clusters). Elements (image pixels) in a particular cluster should be very analogous w.r.t some attributes like lightness, texture or color. In the proposed method, test image is clustered based on chrominance (color) using four segmentation methods, viz., FCM, PCM, PFCM and MFCM. The outcome of segmentation methods are transformed into binary image using otsu threshold method. The binary image of FCM is taken as a reference image because it is standard and fundamental one. The binary images of other methods are compared with reference image. The comparison is done using some image quality metrics such as dice, jaccard. The optimal segmentation method is decided based on the analysis of these image quality metrics. © 2023 IEEE.

The primary component in this paper is to investigate the facial emotional states and EEG indicators, especially in pressure, for the duration of the interplay with games. The proposed paper identifies sure precise expressions in game enthusiasts whose facial feelings are segmented frames were separated into special areas, then the mind indicators are classified based on their frequencies, ranges are also analysed, and the signal value is *** on facial features are extracted from the localized areas, used fuzzy c-means class, and directed onto an emotion space. Then the EEG sign price is evaluated with the brink fee. After that, the strain data can be ship thru by using a SMS alert by using GSM module and buzzer alerts the use of Arduino micro controller. The cease results are accurate and robust. © 2023 IEEE.

Stability of power electronic converters is one of the most important problems related to their dynamics. The problems related to global asymptotic stability is discussed here. The design example used is DC-DC buck converter with Adaptive sliding mode control. An averaged small signal model is derived and transfer functions are obtained. Stability is also verified using conventional techniques by MATLAB simulation. Simulation results and mathematical proof shows that closed loop system designed is stable and a fast response is obtained. Simulated results show that the simulated converter system acquires the excellent robustness feature of achieving a stable steady-state and fast transient response under variable operating points. A prototype model has been developed and simulated results are compared with experimental results. The results validate the stability analysis of Dc-Dc buck converter © 2024 IEEE.

Curriculum changes have a significant impact on the field of education in Indonesia, especially in universities. This is because the curriculum is used as a means to achieve the goals of educational success as well as guidelines in the implementation of teaching at every level of education. This study aims to determine public sentiment regarding the implementation curriculum of independent learning (MBKM) through Twitter based on Naïve Bayes with Laplace Estimator. Tweet search results use the keywords 'kurikulum mbkm' and 'mbkm'. The data used in this study amounted to 2500 tweet data which will be divided into 2000 data as training data with details of 1000 positive tweets and 1000 negative tweets and 500 data as testing data. The results showed the performance of Naïve Bayes using Laplace Estimator which resulted in an accuracy value of 80.20%, precision value of 82.00%, and recall value of 79.00%. Meanwhile, the performance of Naïve Bayes without Laplace Estimator resulted in an accuracy value of 77.00%, precision value of 80.00%, and recall value of 74.00%. Naive Bayes with Laplace Estimator reached the highest value in all metrics. © 2023 IEEE.

Modern power systems are facing significant challenges due to the massive penetration of renewable energy sources (RES). Recently, issues related to frequency security, system strength, and excessive fault levels have been experienced in some power systems. Classical dynamic security assessment (DSA) tools have not been developed to identify and analyze these new challenges that are critical in low-inertia grids. In this paper, a DSA tool has been developed that evaluates frequency security, system strength, and maximum fault levels to allow for secure system planning and operation. Furthermore, to increase the accuracy of the DSA tool, inverter-based resources' (IBRs') protections and capabilities have been incorporated in the DSA tool. A real-time operation and an operational planning application of the DSA tool are showcased using the islanded Cyprus Power system. © 2024 IEEE.

Failure in the rotor winding insulation of doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG) used in wind turbines is common due to the harsh environment and operating stresses. However, rotor insulation testing is difficult and costly due to limited accessibility of wind generators installed inside the nacelle at remote locations. Therefore, remote and automated insulation testing can help reduce the maintenance cost and improve the reliability of DFIGs. In this paper, a new approach for testing the condition of rotor winding insulation for DFIGs is proposed. The main idea is to use the rotor-side inverter to perform off-line insulation testing whenever the wind generator is stopped. New test methods for partial discharge (PD), capacitance (C), and dissipation factor (DF) testing based on impulse and common mode voltage injection are proposed. Testing on a 6.3 kW wound rotor induction machine under emulated insulation defects is performed to verify that the proposed method can provide automated inverter-embedded testing for assessing the integrity of the DFIG rotor insulation. © 2023 IEEE.

The work aims to design and implement a 3D interactive and addictive object avoidance game using the Unity platform. The implementation of the immersive virtual reality application uses any smart mobile device as an input and output device, utilizing its accelerometer and compass to record the orientation and rotation data of the device in 3D space and capture the digital environment stereoscopically on the device screen. A comparative study between a virtual reality and a desktop real-time 3D game is performed to analyze the various attributes of the game and determine which medium is most effective. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces a mixed reality near-eye display configuration designed to concurrently achieve a wide field of view (FoV) and dual side display. The proposed system incorporates a dihedral corner reflector array (DCRA), a virtual image display unit, and an eye display unit. The eyepiece within the virtual image display unit is directly imaged onto the eye pupil plane by the DCRA, enabling the simultaneous realization of a wide FoV and a large eyebox. Furthermore, the DCRA projects the eye display unit toward the external environment, accurately presenting the user's eye image at its appropriate dept. to the other people facing the user. The system's configuration and principles are validated through optical experiments. © 2024 SPIE.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are currently being used in various domains and are the current big revolution. The use of autonomous UAVs is even promising for providing new opportunities. Various applications such as surveying, monitoring, search & rescue operations, and delivery would be beneficial if it is done autonomously without human interference. The performance can also be enhanced if a swarm of autonomous UAVs is used. For each and every UAV to contribute effectively and to reduce the task level complexity of individual UAVs the concept of self-organization could be incorporated into the swarm. Self-organization is an individual UAV performing a simple task without any knowledge of the overall goal but indirectly helping to achieve the overall goal. In this paper, a generalized algorithm to scan or survey a particular field for a swarm of UAVs is proposed. The UAVs will perform their tasks in a self-organized manner autonomously. The proposed algorithm is implemented in python and simulated using webots. The algorithm is tested for various scenarios and it is proven to effectively survey the given field. © 2023 IEEE.
