This paper aimed to suggest a new Secured Hash Algorithm 3 (SHA-3) with seed value implementation. Seed worth ensuring that there are fewer expectations collisions, despite an attacker selecting the data. Furthermore, attackers who combine seed values with hash functions are prevented from exploiting the properties of a hash function to construct many security attacks, such as denial of service attacks and dictionary attacks. A novel approach to enhanced SHA-3 diffusion was proposed here by XORing the seed value with θ step result after transforming the seed bits into a 5 × 5 × 64 matrix and discarding the rest. © 2023 IEEE.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of meteorological factors on heart rate variability (HRV) derived from daily electrocardiogram (ECG) data. Daily meteorological data were obtained from the Japan Meteorological Agency’s database. Daily ECG data were measured while bathing for five y ears. T he s ubject w as a h ealthy m ale i n h is fi fties. After collecting ECG data, R-R intervals were calculated to perform HRV analysis in time domain and frequency domain. The evaluation of link between meteorological factors and HRV parameters was realized by utilizing meteorological factors’ importance calculated by Random Forest, and Steel-Dwass significant difference analysis of the values. Additionally, the evaluation was also performed by analyzing the obtained meteorological factors’ importance values using Granger Causality test. Agriculture plays a vital role in the development of our country. In India, about 70 percent of the population depends on farming and one-third of the nation's capital comes from farming. Issues concerning agriculture have been always hindering the development of the country. The only solution to this problem is agriculture by modernizing the current traditional methods of farming. Hence, this project aims at monitoring the temperature and moisture sensor using the necessary sensors. Measurement of these factors using these sensors in agriculture can be referred to as smart agriculture. Therefore, modern agriculture can positively impact the planet in immeasurable ways. It improves the yield of crops of all kinds, decreasing the dependence on pesticides, reducing operational costs, opti- mizing water usage, and ensuring better land management and crop rotation. The project addresses challenges in traditional agriculture such as limited data access, inefficient resource management, pesticide dependency, manual labor practices, and environmental impact, proposing modernization through IOT- based smart agriculture systems. © 2024 IEEE.

This research compares the performance of two pre-trained models based on the transformer, namely text-to-text transfer transformer (T5) and bidirectional and auto-regressive transformer (BART), through a fine-tuned for correcting grammar in Indonesian sports news texts. We used vennify/t5-base-grammar-correction and onionLad/grammar-correction-bart-base, was trained using a dataset of 10,075 sentences from Indonesian language sports news sites. We tested the model performance using bilingual evaluation understudy (BLEU), google's language evaluation understanding (GLEU), training loss, and validation loss. The results show that BART was more efficient in learning data patterns and has better generalization ability, supported by BLEU and GLEU scores of 0.8560 and 0.9655. Meanwhile, T5 maintains simpler sentence structures, supported by BLEU and GLEU scores of 0.8120 and 0.9564. BART excels at handling more complex contexts, making it more effective at accurately correcting errors in dynamic sports news. Both models have their respective advantages, with BART being better at correcting detailed grammatical errors, while T5 offers consistent correction of more simple sentence structures. © 2024 IEEE.

A novel two-stage approach for human activity recognition (HAR) using a wearable sensor is proposed in this study. The goal is to achieve both coarse-level and fine-level recognition of activities. The study focuses on five common activities: desk-working, driving, walking, downstairs, and upstairs. Three-axis acceleration signals were collected using a wrist-worn accelerometer sensor, and the activities were annotated during the participant’s daily routines. The acceleration data were preprocessed through segmentation, feature extraction, and normalization. In the first s tage, a t raditional m achine learning model (decision tree) was used for coarse-level classification, distinguishing between activities with exercise and without exercise. In the second stage, deep learning models were employed for fine-level classification to recognize specific activities within the coarse classes. The performance of the models was evaluated using accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. T he p roposed approach showed promising results with accuracies of 93.53%, 93.52%, 85.70%, 98.11%, and 85.91% respectively for desk-working, driving, walking, downstairs, and upstairs, demonstrating the effectiveness of the two-stage strategy for HAR. The proposed two-stage approach outperforms the one-stage method (decision tree classifier a nd d eep l earning m odel), p articularly i n imbalanced data, achieving a graceful equilibrium between sensitivity and specificity. T he s tudy h ighlights t he i mportance o f considering the complexity and variability of daily activities for accurate classification a nd r esource optimization. © 2023 IEEE.

Drug-Drug Interactions (DDI) and Chemical-Protein Interactions (CPI) detection are crucial for patient safety, as unidentified interactions may lead to severe Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs). While extensive DDI and CPI information exists within biomedical literature, manual extraction by experts proves time-intensive and resource-demanding. This study presents SB-AGT: Stochastic Beam Search-enhanced Attention-based Gumbel Tree an innovative approach to automated DDI and CPI extraction through an attention-based architecture incorporating a modified Gumbel-Tree method with stochastic beam search optimization. SB-AGT leverages multi-head attention mechanisms and enhanced latent tree structures to effectively capture complex syntactic features and drug relationship patterns. Also, the methodology includes comprehensive preprocessing protocols and addresses dataset imbalance through hybrid sampling techniques. Experimental validation on the DDIExtraction 2013 and CHEMPROT datasets demonstrates the model's effectiveness, achieving precision, surpassing traditional approaches and showing competitive performance compared to contemporary pre-trained models. Through parametric analysis, we establish optimal beam search configurations that maximize the model's extraction accuracy. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

In this paper, the authors presented the different algorithm characteristics in Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Nowadays, managing a massive volume of traffic on networks and thousands of clients on the server is a challenging problem. Also, it is not easy to handle such a massive load on a single server. Therefore, the authors implemented round-robin methodology and simple random methodology on client-server-based architecture and implemented the Dijkstra load balancing algorithm and round-robin methodology on fat-tree topology. The analysis and implementation have been done using a Mininet tool and Iperf tool with an RYU controller. As a result, the Dijkstra load balancing methodology goes well for fat-tree topology. © 2022 IEEE.

Detecting brain tumors from medical images is a complex task in medical image analysis and is crucial for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Over the past few years, there has been significant development in the field of medical image processing. One such technique that has been employed is the multi-scale decomposition of brain images, which is achieved through the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). DWT decomposes an image into two different components, structural and textural information, without compressing the image. As a result, it provides high accuracy details and it preserves edge and texture details when reconstructing the image from its original frequency, and reduces problems like blocking and ringing artifacts. The low frequency sub-band coefficients are fused by selecting the coefficient with the maximum spatial frequency, indicating the overall active level of an image, while the high frequency subband coefficients are fused by selecting the coefficient with the maximum code value. Brain tumor detection using wavelet transform involves the use of both CT scan and MRI scan images. CT scan uses X-ray images taken from different angles of a specific part of the human body to provide detailed information about its internal structure, while MRI scan employs strong magnetic fields, radio waves, and field gradients to generate images of the inner human body. Finally, the fused image is reconstructed by taking the inverse Inverse Discrete Wavelet Transformation (IDWT) of two varied frequency sub-bands. The methods such as Visual Geometry Group (VGG19) which is a sub class of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), watershed algorithm, Procrustes Analysis Algorithm, data argumentation are used in registration, fusion and segmentation process to detect brain tumor. In the contemporary world, safeguarding data has assumed paramount importance, prompting numerous industrial sectors to fortify their defenses against potential hackers. In this landscape, blockchain has emerged as a cutting-edge technology that empowers peers to securely exchange various assets, including currency, financial documents, and land properties. Operating as an open-source public network, blockchain eliminates the need for a central authority. Instead, it facilitates peer-to-peer interactions, ensuring that transactions, value transfers, and data sharing are authenticated by all interconnected nodes within the network. The conventional process of land registration, characterized by its sluggishness and complexity, involves multiple intermediaries and is susceptible to instances of fraudulent and counterfeit land transfers. To address these challenges, the paper introduces a conceptual framework for blockchain-based land registry systems. By analyzing existing frameworks and scrutinizing the robust strategies and concepts they employ, the paper establishes connections that culminate in the creation of this conceptual framework. The proposed solution in the paper revolves around the secure transfer of land ownership through blockchain technology. This solution circumvents the need for intermediaries, allowing buyers and sellers to conduct land ownership transactions seamlessly using the Ethereum network. By leveraging the power of blockchain, this solution aims to mitigate the vulnerabilities and inefficiencies inherent in traditional land registration processes, ushering in a more secure, efficient, and transparent approach to managing land ownership transactions. © 2023 IEEE.
