Doping-less (DL) underlapped dielectric modulating bio-tunnel field-effect transistor (DU-DM-TFET) is proposed in this manuscript. The impact on ON-current (Ion), and the consequent sensitivity owing to deviations of dielectric constant (k) and density of charge (Nf) of biomolecules, nanogap extent (Lcavity) and nanogap thickness (Tcavity) at various drain-to-source voltage (Vds) have been detailed here. Besides, repulsive steric hindrance issue within the cavity regions has been initiated to minimize the lacuna between theory and practical environment. A detailed simulation has been evaluated by the ATLAS device simulator to validate the workability of the recommended sensor. It has been observed that the recommended biosensor might be a potential contender in favor of label-free biosensing considering repulsive steric hindrance issue. © 2022 IEEE.

Current optimization methods for microgrid scheduling face issues such as insufficient precision in energy distribution, high operational costs, and inefficiency. In response to these challenges, an optimization scheduling method for multi-energy microgrids based on the QUBO (Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization) quantum computing model is proposed in this paper, alongside a discretization approach based on a grid partitioning strategy. To validate the feasibility of addressing microgrid optimization scheduling problems in a quantum computing environment, a QUBO model is constructed and simulation studies are conducted in the qbsolv environment provided by D-Wave. The results indicate that operational costs are significantly reduced with an increase in the number of grids, particularly a reduction of 4.52% when the number of grids increases from five to ten. This method not only effectively enhances the precision of electricity supply and energy utilization efficiency but also reduces unnecessary electrical waste and economic costs. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. This paper proposed a broadband 2×2 MIMO antenna array for a WiFi-6E/7 mobile communication system in laptop computer applications. The structure of the single antenna element is composed of a compact loop antenna with a straight parasitic metal line structure. The operating frequency band covers the WiFi-6E/7 band and the future possible WiFi-7 frequency band (∼9 GHz). The single antenna size is 20 mm × 4.0 mm × 4.0 mm. The 2×2 MIMO antenna array is on the edge of the top of a laptop screen. The overall size of the 2×2 MIMO antenna array is 44 mm × 4.0 mm × 4.0 mm. The antenna design does not use extra passive components for impedance matching or isolation technology to improve isolation. The isolation is more than 16.5 dB, the measured efficiency of the antenna is between 65–90%, and the value of gain is between 4.2–8.5 dBi.

Sealed capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) mostly consists of two parallel electrodes separated by a structural layer of silicon nitride (Si 3 N 4 ) and a vacuum cavity. Biasing the transducer element generates electrostatic force of attraction where the lines in the field bulge at the boundaries of the layers contributing to fringing effects. These fringing capacitances result in overall increment of the device capacitance. To capture this effect a very simple model of Landau and Lifschitz is incorporated, where the analytical model outputs are well matched with commercially available PZFlex FEM simulated results. Because silicon carbide (SiC) has a higher Young's modulus and lower residual stress than Si3N4, it is used as a structural material in the CMUT. The improvement in device capacitance is approximately 13.1% through adjustments in the thickness of gaps and insulation. However, factoring in the relative dielectric constant and the electrode radius, this improvement reduces to around 7.9%. Additionally, introducing a high-k insulating layer enables the upper electrode to be structured on the lower face of the SiC layer. This modification leads to an augmentation in the device's total capacitance. This article also examines HfO 2 materials of varied thicknesses.

Predictive maintenance on medical equipment is to identify the equipment condition and to forecast when the maintenance is required. In this paper, the Computed Tomography scan machine is deployed with IoT sensors to monitor the environment and machine parameters such as temperature and humidity of the room, current, radiation and acceleration of X axis and Y axis. The readings are processed to ensure they are according to normal distribution and the current readings are acquired when then machine is working well. To generate data of faulty machine condition, synthetic data is created. Data synthesis is also needed to generate more data for the purpose of model's training for machine learning. An artificial neural network has been designed to predict the breakdown probability of the machine and the inputs are all the parameters from the IoT sensors. The collected readings are acquired since September 2022 until January 2023 from one of the hospitals in Klang Valley. The model produced a very good prediction accuracy of 95.91 percent which makes it an acceptable model for the prediction of machine breakdown. The prediction output is also displayed with real data monitoring on the dashboard, hosted by a dedicated server. © 2023 IEEE.

With the growing demand for portable electronic devices and the Internet of Things (IoT), optimizing power efficiency and speed in digital circuit design has become increasingly critical. Arithmetic components, such as half adders, are fundamental to many digital architectures. This research presents a comparative study between a low-power half adder designed using the Modified Gate Diffusion Input (MGDI) technique is a variation of the Gate Diffusion Input (GDI) method, which reduces power consumption and transistor count and an enhanced version with an isolation buffer, termed MGDIB, against a conventional CMOS-based half adder. Circuit designs were implemented using 0.35μm CMOS technology and simulated in LTspice. The performance metrics evaluated include transistor count, leakage current, static power dissipation, and delay. The MGDI half-adder requires only 13 transistors, significantly fewer than the 18 transistors needed by the CMOS design. Furthermore, the MGDIB configuration achieves a substantial reduction in leakage current (0.33 nA compared to 9.81 nA in CMOS) and a shorter delay (0.051 ns compared to 0.52 ns in CMOS). However, the MGDIB half adder exhibits slightly higher static power dissipation (0.11 nW compared to 3.23 nW in CMOS). These findings demonstrate that the MGDI and MGDIB techniques offer substantial improvements in transistor efficiency, operating speed, and power reduction, making them promising approaches for modern digital circuit design.

The limited autonomy of flight has long been considered a significant constraint in drone systems. In the context of drone inspections of power lines, this study focuses on a drone equipped with a coil designed for autonomous battery charging. Positioned atop the drone is a charging coil, and on the upper surface, there is an upward-facing camera with a restricted field-of-view (FOV), serving the crucial role of aligning the drone with power lines. This research introduces a wireless power transfer strategy to facilitate the self-charging process of the drone while maintaining its position beneath power lines. To enable the drone's autonomous approach to power lines, a method is devised to guide the drone from below. As the drone approaches the power lines, it monitors the current induced by these lines and gradually adjusts its altitude until a sufficiently high induced current is achieved. The proposed approach ensures safety, as the drone avoids direct contact with high-voltage power lines, setting it apart from other existing methods that require such contact. To the best of our knowledge, this study offers a novel approach to precisely controlling drone movements, and establishing reliable wireless power transfer from power lines. The effectiveness of the developed wireless transfer strategy has been verified through MATLAB simulations.

Objectives: This work aims to develop an automated video summarising methodology and timestamping that uses natural language processing (NLP) tools to extract significant video ***: The methodology comprises extracting the audio from the video, splitting it into chunks by the size of the pauses, and transcribing the audio using Google's speech recognition. The transcribed text is tokenised to create a summary, sentence and word frequencies are calculated, and the most relevant sentences are selected. The summary quality is assessed using ROUGE criteria, and the most important keywords are extracted from the transcript using ***: Our proposed method successfully extracts key points from video lectures and creates text summaries. Timestamping these key points provides valuable context and facilitates navigation within the lecture. Our method combines video-to-text conversion and text summarisation with timestamping key concepts, offering a novel approach to video lecture analysis. Existing video analysis methods focus on keyword extraction or summarisation, while our method offers a more comprehensive approach. Our timestamped key points provide a unique feature compared to other methods. Our method enhances existing video reports by (i) providing concise summaries of key concepts and (ii) enabling quick access to specific information through timestamps. (iii) Facilitating information retrieval through a searchable index. Further research directions: (i) Improve the accuracy of the multi-stage processing pipeline. (ii) Develop techniques to handle diverse accents and pronunciations. Web Scraping involves the use of bots for the purpose of extracting data from the online web. To extract such data, the web scraper must conduct at least 3 different steps, i.e., collect the necessary links from the web, extract data using the provided links, and save the information in a neatly organized CSV file or database. However, traditional methods to accomplish these steps have faced many difficulties, such as anti-scraping measures and website changes. To tackle these difficulties and to accomplish the steps in a more rapid yet advanced way, Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be utilized. As of mid-2024, the rapid development and improvement of AI has resulted in its integration into many businesses and educational institutions. The current state of AI is remarkably advanced that it can be integrated in about any field and sector available. In this paper, the researcher defined the term Web Scraping, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning, explained the use of AI in Web Scraping including its importance and potential, and the understanding of ethical web scraping practices. This literature review indicated that the integrated use of AI improves the performance of Web Scraping compared to traditional methods.

Genetic Algorithms have been more and more employed to stumble on congenital heart defects in the last variety of years. Gasoline is a computational technique that uses evolutionary concepts to optimize answers to complex problems. This study proposes the use of Genetic Algorithms as a novel approach for detecting Congenital Heart Defects a common and potentially life-threatening condition affecting newborns. By incorporating genetic principles and simulations, GAs have proven to be effective in solving complex medical diagnosis problems. The study aims to optimize the classification process by employing evolutionary techniques to identify key features and prioritize them based on their importance in diagnosing CHDs. Results from the GA model showed a significant improvement in accuracy and speed compared to existing methods, making it a promising tool for early detection and intervention of CHDs in newborns. But gas is more appropriate for this assignment because of its potential to pick out extra subtle variations between ordinary and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy. Gas has additionally been established to be promising within the identity and quantification of CHDs. © 2024 IEEE.
