The recent and emerging introduction of generative AI in all areas of society poses new challenges to be overcome, particularly in the educational setting. The intimate and affective relationship that may develop between students and generative AI devices raises critical questions about the psychological and emotional impact of such interactions. This issue becomes particularly significant when the interactions with AI-based systems begin at an early age, and these systems assume roles as digital tutors, digital secretaries, motivator agents, and/or mentors. The aim of this work in progress was to address a recent challenge within the digital educational context: the psychological and emotional impact that the introduction of AI-based systems in digital education may have on students. However, we have faced limitations in terms of data availability and resources, particularly when addressing the issue from early ages, where there is a notable lack of studies. Although the results may not have been significant, the research has provided a general overview and a solid theoretical foundation for future studies in this field. Therefore, we suggest conducting more rigorous studies with representative samples and complete data, alongside developing reliable and validated methodologies and assessment tools to address the issues involved. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a novel technique for the hyperspectral image deconvolution problem is developed. First, considering the highly ill-posed nature of the examined problem, it is imperative to incorporate proper priors (regularizers) to capture the strong spectral and spatial dependencies of the hyperspectral images. Then, in light of this, a novel optimization problem is proposed by employing a convolutional neural network to act as a regularizer, which is learnt to reflect the properties of the signals of interest. To solve the proposed optimization problem, we use the half quadratic splitting methodology, thus designing an efficient iterative solver (iteration map). Based on the Deep Equilibrium (DEQ) modeling, which aims to express the proposed iterative solver as an equilibrium (fixed-point) computation, a highly interpretable deep learning-based network is derived, which can be trained endto-end. Extensive numerical results using two publicly available datasets illustrate that the proposed method markedly outperforms other state-of-the-art approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

In today's environment, a reliable and effective technique for identifying spam reviews is essential if you want to purchase things online without being taken advantage of. There are possibilities for publishing reviews in many internet locations, which opens the door for sponsored or deceptive fake reviews. These fabricated evaluations may mislead the general audience and leave them unsure of whether or not to believe them. The issue of spam review finding has been solved by the introduction of prominent deep literacy methods. The focus of recent research has been on supervised literacy practices that contain labelled data, which is inadequate for online review. This initiative aims to expose any dishonest textbook reviews. To do this, we've used both labelled and unlabeled data and suggested deep learning techniques for spam review detection, including Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) variation of Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN). We also used standard machine learning classifiers to identify spam reviews, including Naive Bayes (NB), K Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). Finally, we compared the effectiveness of traditional and deep literacy classifiers. We'll use deep literacy classifiers to boost the finesse and efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study the problem of Federated Learning (FL) is explored under a new perspective by utilizing the Deep Equilibrium (DEQ) models instead of conventional deep learning networks. We claim that incorporating DEQ models into the federated learning framework naturally addresses several open problems in FL, such as the communication overhead due to the sharing large models and the ability to incorporate heterogeneous edge devices with significantly different computation capabilities. Additionally, a weighted average fusion rule is proposed at the server-side of the FL framework to account for the different qualities of models from heterogeneous edge devices. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to establish a connection between DEQ models and federated learning, contributing to the development of an efficient and effective FL framework. Finally, promising initial experimental results are presented, demonstrating the potential of this approach in addressing challenges of FL. © 2023 European Signal Processing Conference, EUSIPCO. In the domain of first-person shooter (FPS) gaming, mouse sensitivity is crucial for performance. This paper presents an analysis showing the correlation between specific muscle activity and mouse movement. We analyzed mouse movements from twelve subjects with varying sensitivity levels. A new dataset electromyography analysis of human activity database 8 (EMAHA-DB8), is introduced which involved four mouse designs and two game modes: Medium (normal movement) and Hard (aggressive movement). Sensitivity settings were standardized using effective dots per inch (eDPI), calculated as Mouse DPI multiplied by in-game sensitivity. Hand muscle activity was measured using five Noraxon Ultium wireless surface electromyography (sEMG) sensors with Ag/AgCl electrodes. Various regression models, including Random Forest, Support Vector Regressor, K-Nearest Neighbors Regressor, MLP Regressor, and Gradient Boost Regressor, were used to predict eDPI from muscle movement patterns. Sequential feature selection identified the top ten features, highlighting the most significant muscles for predicting sensitivity. The results demonstrate that the Extensor Carpi Radialis (ECR) is the most active muscle, followed by the Extensor Digitorum (ED), while playing the chosen FPS game. These findings give insights for ergonomic and personalized equipment design to enhance gaming experience and performance. © 2024 IEEE.

This article explores how the Alpha-x framework can improve network robustness under Nakagami-m fading and co-channel interference (CI), The study evaluates network performance using key metrics such as outage probability, spectral efficiency, and capacity degradation. The simulations show a 50% reduction in outage probability, a 20% boost in spectral efficiency, and a 33.3% lower capacity degradation compared to traditional models. These results demonstrate how the Alpha-x framework enhances network performance by adapting to various fading conditions and interference levels in wireless communication systems. The framework not only improves reliability and efficiency but also shows practical relevance in network planning and management. This can potentially lead to better user experiences and increased operational resilience. Future research could focus on optimizing the underlying algorithms and testing their performance on a larger scale in real-world environments. As telecommunications systems evolve, frameworks like Alpha-x could play a crucial role in ensuring reliable and efficient wireless networks. © 2024 IEEE.

As robotics and technology become increasingly integrated into education and daily life, it is important to recognize their essential role. Even young children have access to electronic toys and gadgets, which can facilitate their learning and interaction. This study highlights the significance of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education at the elementary school level, emphasizing how university students from a variety of disciplines can design and construct robots capable of carrying out challenging tasks for humanitarian purposes. The study also emphasizes the need to encourage women's participation in robotics to showcase their skills and innovative ideas. Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as small airborne base stations is gradually becoming a research hotspot in the field of wireless communications. With the flexible deployment, wide coverage and low cost, UAV communications show great potential in the fields of emergency rescue, environmental monitoring and military operations. In particular, the easier availability of line-of-sight (LOS) links for UAVs makes its combination with millimetre wave (mmWave) technology significantly enhance the communication bandwidth and data transfer rate. However, the very limited coverage of mmWave communications greatly affects the actual data rates provided by small aerial base stations of mmWave UAVs, especially considering user movement on the ground. In this paper, we study the joint optimisation problem of UAV deployment, user association, spectrum resource allocation in millimetre-wave heterogeneous networks, and explore the impact of different user movement models on system performance. Given that this problem is NP-hard, our paper proposes an MCR-SAC method to maximize the network's total throughput. Simulation results demonstrate an average 18% improvement in total transmission rate compared to the conventional. © 2024 IEEE.

Air pollution remains a critical issue, adversely affecting public health and the environment. In this study, we utilize the Air Quality index dataset from Kaggle to analyze temporal and seasonal variations of key pollutants, specifically Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Benzene (C6H6 ). Building upon this analysis, we predict Absolute Humidity (AH), a vital meteorological factor influencing pollutant dispersion, using Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) techniques. Three ML techniques, Linear Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), and Support Vector Regression (SVR), and three DL techniques, Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), are employed for predicting AH. The results indicate that while the RF model achieved the lowest Mean Absolute Error (MAE) among ML methods (0.02), the CNN model, despite having an MAE of 0.04, demonstrated statistical superiority through paired t-tests and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests (p © 2025 IEEE.

Technology has become an integral part of our everyday lives. Televisions, smartphones, laptops, the Internet, and other technological advancements have become indispensable to modern life. Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled control of various home features, activities, and appliances, known as home automation. Home automation enables control of equipment within your residence from any location globally via end devices. This research aims to efficient control system, reduce power consumption and enhance security in home automation systems. In our proposed method the home automation systems utilizing the HC SR04 sonar sensor, the DS18B20 temperature sensor, the LDR analog sensor, and the NodeMCU ESP8266 microprocessor relays. This allows the automated regulation of household devices according to human presence, door locks, temperature, ambient light, and water pump operation. We thoroughly evaluated the hardware prototype for an extended duration. The test findings verified that the prototype operated effectively and could automatically and manually manage electrical appliances using the web application. Implementing a Switchport Security for user Access Control approach, which collaborates with port security violation and device MAC-Address to identify unwanted access and address Smart Home security concerns. Finally, this research highlights the potential of IoT-based home automation improve energy efficiency, increase safety and security. © 2024 IEEE.
