Cloud computing enabled Wi-Fi networks provide an outstanding opportunity for corporations to distribute extensive area community (WAN) site visitors and advantage from reduced latency because of the proliferation of hyper connectivity. The feasibility of implementing a Wide Area Network (WAN) traffic distribution system in cloud computing enabled wireless networks was studied. The study aimed to determine the practicality and effectiveness of this approach in improving network performance. For the experiment, a sample network topology was designed to simulate real-world scenarios and subjected to diverse traffic loads. The results showed that the WAN traffic distribution system was indeed feasible and could effectively distribute and balance network traffic in cloud computing enabled wireless networks. Furthermore, key metrics such as network latency, packet loss, and throughput were significantly improved compared to traditional networks without the WAN distribution system. Further research and development in this area could potentially lead to improved network efficiency and enhanced user experience in the rapidly growing field of cloud computing. Those consequences reveal the feasibility of deploying WAN site visitors distribution in cloud computing-enabled wireless networks, and serves as a starting point for further study aiming to improve the performance of such networks. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the harmful types of cancer that can affect females is breast cancer. With the aid of images of the microscopic structure, breast cancer can be identified. This study uses mammography images to categorize various types of breast cancer. Image processing techniques can be used successfully in the classification of mammography images. Deep learning provides wonderful performance for the classification of images in many applications among various image processing algorithms. Convolutional neural network (CNN) designs like VGG19, Inception-Net, ResNet50, and others are used in effective classification. © 2023 IEEE.

Runtime Verification is a software testing technique based on extracting and analyzing information from a system while it is running. The objective is to use this information to find faults or problems in the system under test. To achieve this, it is necessary that the insertion of testing logic does not modify the code being tested and that it does not affect the performance of the system. In this article, we present a runtime testing framework for JavaScript, which utilizes Aspect-Oriented Programming and regular expressions. This framework encapsulates the idea of Message Sequence Specification applied to Runtime Verification. Our work is freely available and open source.

This study applies an echo-state network (ESN)-based technique to enhance the utility power quality performance in a grid-integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) system supplying a specially non-linear load. The proposed system serves multiple functionalities, such as improvement of power quality parameters, which includes harmonics suppression, load balancing, neutral current compensation, source reactive power reduction and correcting low power factor, simultaneously managing the solar PV power generated for supplying the load. The proposed control algorithm extracts the contaminated source currents' active and non-active harmonic free fundamental weight components. These weights are further used to estimate the source current reference signals and generate the switching signals for the voltage source inverter (VSI) that integrates the grid with the solar PV system. A small-scale two-stage PV power unit linked with a grid is developed in the laboratory. A DSP-dSPACE 1104 controller is used to implement the ESN controller for the grid-integrated PV system. In a three-phase, four-wire distribution system, the suggested algorithm has been evaluated and demonstrated to effectively address multiple power quality issues while managing solar energy. © 2023 IEEE.

Dementia is considered a Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), representing a blurred transition from normal cognitive function to dementia. MCI might be a precursor to dementia being caused by various neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, stroke, metabolic disorders, and mental health conditions. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 55 million people worldwide are suffering from dementia, with nearly 10 million new cases each year. This number is expected to rise to 78 million by 2030. Numerous studies have proposed various training methods targeting specific cognitive domains in dementia. For instance, reminiscence therapy encourages individuals to recall buried memories, while reality orientation therapy focuses on strengthening orientation cues to help patients with dementia establish a stronger sense of control. With aging, changes occur in cognitive and physical functions. Research suggests that memory functions can be improved through training. Therefore, the primary goal of this study was to develop an Extended Reality (XR) cognitive system to assist MCI patients in enhancing logical thinking, increasing independence in daily life, and improving response accuracy. The application of extended reality technology in the medical field is expanding, covering areas such as surgical assistance, medical consultation, disease treatment, and medical training. We integrated mixed reality devices with brain-computer interface (BCI) equipment. By detecting brainwave signals in the frontal region of the brain through sensors, neural activity was quantified, and digital brainwave data was transmitted to the system. This data was then visualized on screen in real-time to analyze changes in brainwave data during training. Through multifaceted task training, the system enhanced cognitive response and sensory perception, stimulating brain activity with the goal of strengthening cognitive functions.

Cellular advert Hoc Networks (MANETs) is self-organizing wireless networks that lack the physical infrastructure and centralized manage of conventional networks. With a purpose to enable powerful communiqué, it's miles important to deal with the resource allocation problem in MANETs. Recently, Cloud Computing algorithms were used to evaluate aid allocation techniques in MANETs. Those algorithms contain sampling strategies, which include nearest neighbor, Monte Carlo, and hybrid strategies, to optimize the useful resource utilization levels. This allows for a more correct assessment of the to be had assets in MANETs. Moreover, these algorithms also can be carried out to autonomously control and time table communication flows with a view to improve standard network performance. This paper affords an outline of the existing aid allocation techniques and their evaluation in MANETs the usage of cloud computing algorithms. It also discusses the impacts of the useful resource control selections in MANETs and the challenges confronted in deploying cloud computing algorithms in these settings. Lastly, a fixed of future studies directions is proposed to in addition improve resource allocation techniques in MANETs. © 2024 IEEE.

In planar pursuit-evasion differential games considering a faster pursuer and slower evader, the interception points resulting from equilibrium strategies lie on the Apollonius circle. This property is instrumental for leveraging geometric approaches for solving multiple pursuit-evasion scenarios in the plane. Here, we study a pursuit-evasion differential game on a sphere and generalize the planar Apollonius set to the spherical domain. We find that the interception point from the equilibrium strategies can leave the Apollonius set boundary and present a condition to keep the intercept point on the boundary. This condition allows for generalizing planar pursuitevasion strategies to the sphere. © 2024 IEEE.

This research aims to transcribe audio into text using the pre-trained Whisper model, focusing on Bugis, a low-resource language. A key challenge in transcribing local languages like Bugis is the limited availability of language model. To address this, we implemented an algorithmic correction approach that does not require extensive datasets or computationally demanding customizations. The Whisper model provides an initial transcription, serving as a foundation;however, the output often lacks accuracy due to the absence of specific adjustments for Bugis. To enhance accuracy, we applied the Levenshtein distance algorithm to correct word errors by comparing transcription results with entries in a Bugis language dataset based on similarity. Although this method is not fully precise and depends on the completeness of the reference dataset, evaluation results indicate that it effectively lowers the word error rate (WER) and improves transcription accuracy. This research produces SRT files containing transcripts that have been corrected using the Levenhstein distance algorithm, which not only improves accessibility but also contributes to the preservation of Bugis language through digital media. This approach is expected to provide a practical solution to improve transcription accuracy and support more accurate documentation in Bugis language preservation efforts. © 2024 IEEE.

The Innovative Nation competition is a Jordanian initiative that uses workshops, training camps, and competitions to improve students' general and soft skills, problem-solving, creativity, and invention. The curriculum is divided into three parts, each of which has the potential to increase interest in science, Technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The goal of this research is to determine how much the STEM competition has influenced students' education and decision to pursue jobs in science and technology. Personal interviews with students and mentors were employed in this study to assess their skill sets, prospective career paths, and interests. The collected data was reviewed, and it was found that participation in the Innovation Nation competition increased students' interest in STEM vocations. © 2023 IEEE.

InfraRed Thermography can be used for assessing the quality of potatoes. Thermographs acquired using IR camera is processed for identifying the presence/absence of diseases in potatoes. Raw pseudocolor images as acquired from thermographs for four different classes (holes, fungus, badly affected potatoes and normal potatoes) are fed as input to ALEXNET and the performance was studied. Performance metrics cannot be improved as the background intensity and the Region of Interest (RoI) intensity are nearly equal (low contrast images). In this paper, prior to feeding thermographs as inputs to ALEXNET, thermographs were enhanced and the performance was studied. Secondly, only potato region was identified and the background intensities are made as lowest (zero) to improve the contrast. These images are then fed to ALEXNET and the performance is studied. Also, in order to reduce the computational complexity of ALEXNET, the convolution layer and ReLu layer above the fully connected network are removed and a modified ALEXNET architecture is obtained. After training, modified ALEXNET is then used for the above three sets of thermographs and the performance is studied. It is found that modified ALEXNET not only reduces the computational complexity but also has an accuracy of 75% for RoI separated thermographs much greater than that of ALEXNET and that of enhanced thermographs. © 2024 IEEE.
