The IOTA Tangle represents a promising alternative to blockchain technology, particularly for the Internet of Things (IoT) environment. However, ensuring efficiency and fairness in transaction processing remains a significant challenge. This paper focuses on the efficiency of the Tangle by evaluating a novel POMDP-based Tip Selection Algorithm (TSA). Through comparative analysis against Weighted TSA, G-IOTA, and E-IOTA under varying network loads (lambda values), the POMDP algorithm demonstrates superior performance in maintaining the fastest confirmation process and more efficiency in different network conditions. These results establish POMDP as a scalable and efficient solution, contributing to the advancement of decentralized ledger technology. Future directions include real-world testing and the integration of adaptive network factors for enhanced scalability. © 2024 IEEE.

Network Softwarization revolutionizes infrastructure by introducing programmable network functions, leading to scalable, agile, and efficient networks. This innovation facilitates adaptable, secure Next Generation Networks, transforming connectivity. This study conducts a comparative analysis of SDN-based network functions utilizing three different controllers: Open vSwitch (OVS), OpenFlow Reference controller, and RYU, to understand their impact on packet loss and jitter. The OpenFlow Reference controller, primarily used for educational and basic experimental purposes, serves as a baseline. The OVS controller, operating within the Open vSwitch framework in Mininet, offers a practical level of network management capability, more advanced than the OpenFlow Reference controller yet not as comprehensive as the RYU Controller, a production-grade SDN controller. Our research aims to fill the gap in comparative performance analysis of these controllers, particularly in hybrid round-robin-based load balancing and firewall implementations. Recognizing the operational reality of SDN deployments, we explore both reactive and proactive modes, acknowledging that real-world applications like firewalls and load balancers often operate proactively with pre-populated rules, affecting data plane performance. The findings provide insights into each controller's effectiveness, with OVS and RYU showing enhanced capability in reducing packet loss and jitter compared to the OpenFlow Reference controller. This research not only sheds light on the functional behaviors and performance trade-offs of these controllers but also contributes to the broader SDN and NFV discourse, offering a foundation for future academic and practical advancements in the field. © 2024 IEEE.

Aspect-level sentiment analysis is a modern technology that enables people to share their views or emotions with products, services, or topics based on their aspects. Aspect-level sentiment analysis focuses on aspect extraction, which considers aspects from user reviews. Various methods and approaches have been employed for aspect extraction. Although these methods show better performance and attempt to overcome various challenges, many unsolved problems still need to be solved, such as sentimental ambiguity, opinion misprediction, a weak sentiment lexicon, and implicit sentiment detection. Numerous sentiment lexicons have been employed for word polarity extraction. Dictionaries also play an important role in sentiment classification. There are various dictionaries, but it has been found that issues such as one dictionary might not work properly for all domains. This study analyzes various existing sentiment lexicons employed for domain-specific sentiment analysis. Various approaches have been employed to create a domain-dependent sentiment lexicon and its effect on aspect-level sentiment analyses. © 2024 IEEE.

Handwritten Text image Recognition (HTR) in the medical profession has become the major challenge due to the complexity of doctors' handwriting styles and the critical need for precise and efficient text recognition. This study proposes an innovative approach that combines the power of Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory networks (BLSTM) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to address these challenges effectively. The proposed model harnesses the bidirectional capabilities of BLSTMs to capture contextual dependencies within doctors' handwritten notes, enabling it to understand and interpret handwriting more accurately. Additionally, CNNs are employed for feature extraction, enabling the model to recognize salient patterns and representations within handwritten text images. This paper presents comprehensive experiments conducted on a diverse dataset of doctors' handwritten notes, demonstrating the model's superior performance compared to conventional approaches and outperforms the existing work in terms of accuracy. Two different crucial metric word error rate and character error rate are accessed through the combination of BLSTM and CNN that yields state-of-the-art accuracy, robustness to variations in handwriting styles, and remarkable adaptability across various medical documents in the context of Nepal. © 2024 IEEE.

Gauging Deep Learning Archetypal Effectiveness in Haematological Reclamation

This paper project an system for reclamation of medical images in an effective way for the extraction and retrieving of data from large archives is critical. This study aims to improve haematological image reclamation by combining visual-based image reclamation (VBIR) approaches with the GLCM algorithm, specifically for characteristics related to the prostate gland. While previous research has focused on computer-aided methods for Gleason grading, our technique focuses on early-stage feature reclamation across 14 paired glands. The experimental findings, including Bicubic Interpolation The resolution Enrichment with a standard deviation of 12.37, kurtosis of 122.83, and skewness of 2.92, demonstrate improved reclamation performance. Our suggested methodology uses a handmade learning approach that includes critical components such as GLCM contrast and correlation. This extensive feature extraction step includes descriptors for morphology, texture, fractals, and contextual information, which are then subjected to in-dept. statistical analysis to identify significant features. Using an RNN, our technique improves performance somewhat but significantly when compared to alternatives, with time required for execution offering insights into the intricate interaction of stages and the effect of sample variability. These findings not only encourage more research, but also help to advance standard reviews in haematological analysis of images. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Dehazing underwater images is crucial for several underwater applications, including marine biology, exploration, and monitoring. Because of colour distortion, light attenuation, and scattering, underwater imaging presents particular difficulties. This research presents a systematic survey on using transformers and different Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for dehazing underwater photos. This survey study looks into transformer-based models, analyzes GAN designs (CycleGAN, Pix2Pix, and UWGAN) in detail, and compares them using a range of metrics, such as Mean Squared Error (MSE), Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM), Frechet Inception Distance (FID), and F1-score. Further analysis was carried out using CLAHE on the best-performing models. Our findings emphasize the benefits and drawbacks of the different designs that were employed as well as prospective directions for further study and advancement. © 2024 IEEE.

Breast cancer is a prevalent and potentially fatal malignancy in women, requiring continual improvements in diagnostic techniques. In order to help medical personnel accurately detect dangerous tumors, automated medical image analysis is essential. This paper presents a unique breast cancer detection model that makes use of deep learning and transfer learning approaches in order to improve the accuracy of diagnostics. The pre-trained ViTb-32 model is fine-tuned on a pre-processed dataset to produce cutting-edge results. The model was trained with a public histopathologic breast cancer dataset. The dataset is pre-processed to resize the images and normalize them to enhance the performance during the training and achieve convergence faster. The ViTb-32 model is optimized by fine-tuning the hyperparameters to achieve the best possible accuracy. The proposed model achieves an accuracy rate of 96.92%. The application of this paradigm in the clinical setting has the potential to improve patient outcomes by facilitating early detection and timely intervention, which could reduce the mortality rate of breast cancer patients by detecting the disease at an early stage. © 2024 IEEE.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neuro-development behavioural disorder that is classified as a chronic disability leaving individuals unable to accurately grasp their environment and can lead to limited development of communication skills, thinking and other social skills. Prediction of ASD using video recordings is an open-ended critical problem in machine learning to facilitate the process of early intervention which requires high computational resources. This research aims to predict ASD in children using videos by extracting features and converting them into a binary classification problem thereby eliminating the need for high computational resources. This research postulates a study of machine learning techniques like Logistic Regression, Decision Trees and Neural Networks in comparison for the prediction of ASD as well as a novel approach to reduce the computational requirements for the analysis of videos. This research also addresses the lack of publically available video datasets for the analysis of Autism. The highest accuracy metric for the models was using the Neural Network architecture closely followed by the Decision Tree Classifier which yielded accuracies of 99.8% and 99.65% respectively. In this article, we offer an overview of predicting Autism Spectrum Disorder whilst focusing on the importance of video datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent days accidents are increasing on an exponential basis due to drinking and drive. Driving after drinking alcohol is a major cause of the majority of the accidents due to which sometimes innocent people lose their lives. As the number of vehicles is increasing day by day, accidents are also occurring due to many reasons but alcohol consumption is a major factor in many of the accidents. To avoid these accidents, an alcohol detection and alert system for vehicles is proposed in this paper that is based on MQ3 sensor. The proposed system gives a coherent solution to control injuries because of consumption of alcohol while driving. The alcohol detected by the MQ-3 sensor is processed via an ATmega328P Microcontroller that collate it with a fixed threshold for compliance. The device will nonstop monitor concentration of alcohol by the alcohol recognition sensor and consequently flip off the working of automobile's engine if the alcohol concentration is exceeding threshold value. The replica can even send the alert of locality of the car via SIM900A (GSM module). The model presents an adequate answer to regulate injuries by the influence of alcohol driving. The LCD module is used to show that alcohol has been identified. The proposed system is cost effective, less bulky and more reliable. © 2024 IEEE.

The neurological disorder known as epilepsy is defined by its recurrent, spontaneous episodes of seizures impacting millions of people globally. The timely and accurate detection of epileptic seizures is necessary for a successful administration and ensuring patient safety. In recent times, techniques using machine learning have emerged as promising solutions to automate the detection of seizures. This review paper presents a thorough overview of the latest advancements in the identification of epileptic seizures through the application of machine learning, encompassing data sources, extraction of features, application of classification algorithms, use of performance evaluation metrics, addressing various challenges, and future directions. In addition, we put forth a novel methodology in order to enhance seizure detection accuracy by integrating the models of deep learning. Our approach uses multiple modalities for seizure prediction with cross-model training to mitigate data scarcity. Through a rigorous analysis of existing literature and our proposed methodology, this paper provides insightful information for practitioners and researchers looking into the detection of epileptic seizures. © 2024 IEEE.
