Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has shown remarkable success in tackling complex tasks by learning representations directly from raw data. However, as DRL agents become increasingly sophisticated, they often face challenges in adapting to new tasks or environments due to their monolithic structure. In this paper, we prove that by decomposing the agent into modular components, we enable more efficient adaptation as well as more efficient than that of the singular DRL agent on tackling complex tasks. Overall, our work contributes to advancing the field of DRL by introducing a flexible and scalable framework for agent decomposition. By enabling the creation of modular agents, we empower DRL systems to efficiently adapt to changing environments, learn new tasks with minimal intervention, and achieve higher levels of performance and versatility. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes a method for estimating the State of Charge (SOC) of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries based on an experimental thermal model that considers internal battery temperatures. The proposed algorithm involves selecting a thermal model and suggesting methods for extracting parameters from the chosen model. Using the proposed thermal model, the algorithm compensates for temperature differences in cold and hot environments, thereby correcting the internal temperature to estimate SOC accurately. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by estimating the SOC of electric vehicle LFP batteries and comparing the accuracy before and after correction. During the pandemic, we must maintain our body's immunity at best. Outdoor activities have been closed;therefore, there are limitations to activities that can be done. A solution to staying healthy during the pandemic is indoor exercise. One type of indoor exercise is regularly riding stationary bikes. We maintain the body's fitness and burn calories by riding stationary bikes. However, some stationary bikes could not show accurate calories burned;they calculated it only based on speed, resistance, and duration, so people with different weights seem to burn the same amount of calories. Therefore, this paper proposed an additional parameter essential in calorie burning: body weight. We used the human body pose estimator to detect the activity of riding the stationary bike and calculated it by adding the person's weight. The result shows a difference between the estimated calorie burned and the data directly from the stationary bike. The difference is between 0.0225 to 2.8775. The heavier the person, the more differences in the calories burned. The proposed method helped prove that a person's weight affects the calories burned while doing an activity, especially riding a stationary bike. © 2023 IEEE.

Cybersecurity is one of the global issues because of the extensive dependence on cyber systems of individuals, industries, and organizations. Among the cyber attacks, phishing is increasing tremendously and affecting the global economy. Therefore, this phenomenon highlights the vital need for enhancing user awareness and robust support at both individual and organizational levels. Phishing URL identification is the best way to address the problem. Various machine learning and deep learning methods have been proposed to automate the detection of phishing URLs. However, these approaches often need more convincing accuracy and rely on datasets consisting of limited samples. Furthermore, these black-box intelligent models' decision to detect Suspicious URLs needs proper explanation to understand the features affecting the output. To address the issues, we propose a 1 D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and trained the model with extensive features and a substantial amount of data. The proposed model outperforms existing works by attaining an accuracy of 99.85 %. Additionally, our explainability analysis highlights certain features that significantly contribute to identifying the phishing URL. © 2024 IEEE.

The Indian General Election of 2019 is proof of the rise in political content on social media platforms, reflecting user attitudes and behaviors towards the electoral process. This paper examines the collective behavior of Twitter users during the election period and assesses the feasibility of election prediction through social media analysis in India. This work presents weekly sentiment analysis on election-related Twitter content. It analyzes how social media content can be used as a reliable factor of public sentiment during elections and has recourse to be a predictive parameter alongside other factors. The simulation results show that VADER outperforms various state-of-the-art techniques with a mean absolute error of 1.345 for candidate-wise predictions, significantly outperforming Textblob (5.445), Pattern analyzer (5.135), and pre-trained BERT (28.335) while yielding similar results for party-wise and alliance-wise analyses. © 2024 IEEE.

In the realm of global computer security, safeguarding sensitive data and computer systems stands as an ongoing challenge. Striking the delicate balance between convenient access for legitimate users and thwarting imposter attacks is imperative. Traditional authentication methods, primarily reliant on username and password schemes, have been the longstanding cornerstone of cyber system authentication. Yet, this conventional approach is marred by inherent vulnerabilities, including password exchange, shoulder surfng, brute force attacks, dictionary attacks, speculation, phishing, and emerging threats. In response to these shortcomings, biometrics technology has emerged as a reliable alternative for authentication and verification, with Keystroke Dynamics being a well-established method. This research advances Keystroke Dynamics-based authentication through cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks. A quantitative assessment demonstrates remarkable results - Machine Learning achieves 99.9% accuracy with the Random Forest model, Deep Learning combines CNN with GRU to reach 99.31% accuracy, and the DBN model registers at 98.01%. In the realm of neural networks, Bi-CNN and FFM-NN excel, with accuracy rates of 96.8% and 94.7%, respectively. These findings lay the foundation for robust, secure authentication systems, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and computer assets in our interconnected world. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. The Internet of Things has rapidly emerged and continues to create services, software, sensors-embedded devices, and protocols. IoT allows physical objects to communicate, exchange information, and make decisions while performing critical jobs. The Internet of Things is enhanced by wireless sensor networks, which serve as a continuous layer. To gain adoption and spread, Internet of things-based sensor networks must overcome serious general and specialized risks and technological hurdles. The main drawbacks of wireless sensor networks are insufficient resources. Internet of Things (IOT)-based Wireless Sensor Networks have issues in energy consumption, longevity, throughput, routing, and security. The goal of this effort was to enhance network longevity, throughput, packet latency/loss, and better encounters with hostile nodes. Consider wireless energy harvesting in the proposed three-layer cluster-based wireless sensor network routing protocol to enhance network lifespan. The proposed approach is a Trust based Cooperative Secure Routing Protocol (TCSRP) technique with security system to obtain malicious activities of objects and to slant them into blacklist. Finally, experiments were done to test the methodology. It outperforms most traditional routing protocols like AODV, DSR, and DSDV. © 2024 IEEE.

The manual grading of exam scripts is a labor-intensive process, often plagued by subjectivity and inconsistency. This study presents an innovative approach to automating the evaluation of exam scripts using the Large Language Model (LLM) integrated with Zero-Shot Learning (ZSL) and Generative AI. Our system leverages the capabilities of GPT-4 to generate and evaluate answers, applying similarity measures to ensure accuracy and fairness in grading. The model's adaptability through ZSL allows it to assess new questions without additional training. The system also incorporates iterative refinement techniques to enhance the quality of standard answers over time. Performance evaluations demonstrate a low error rate, with an average relative error of 1.29% for annotated questions and 1.67% for non-annotated questions compared to human graders. The performance underscores the automated system's transformative potential in revolutionizing educational assessments, offering a consistent, fair, and highly efficient alternative to traditional grading methods. © 2024 IEEE.

The emergence of 5G technology has ushered in a new era of connectivity, making communications faster and cheaper. One of the main challenges of 5G networks is accuracy and efficiency, which are important for many applications such as driver less cars, smart cities and virtual reality. This research paper explores the integration of machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy and reliability of 5G infrastructure. The plan uses rich data generated by 5G networks, combining various parameters such as signal strength, flight time and angle of arrival. Machine learning algorithms are used to process this data and create good models for the correct location. The system is designed to adapt to dynamic and complex urban environments where traditional methods often encounter limitations. The main contribution of this research includes the development of a new machine learning-based distribution algorithm suitable for 5G networks, a comprehensive evaluation of performance comparison with the existing system, and evaluation of recommendations for feasibility and implementation. The results showed significant improvements in accuracy and reliability, demonstrating the potential of machine learning to revolutionize the 5G workplace. © 2024 IEEE.

The ultimate purpose of a mobile robot is to do some tasks in addition to moving to a desired point, so it is very natural for a mobile robot to be equipped with a manipulator. Among many types of mobile robots, omni-directional mobile robot has been very popular because it has advantages in trajectory planning and control. In this paper, we deal with an omni-directional mobile manipulator that consists of a four Mecanum wheeled mobile robot platform and a manipulator mounted on it. In general, it is very difficult to solve inverse kinematics for a mobile manipulator because it has infinite solutions. Omni-directional mobile robot platform can move in any direction and can rotate on a pivot in a plane, so we propose it to be modeled as a manipulator with two prismatic joints and one revolute joint. Then the overall omni-directional mobile manipulator can be considered as a manipulator with an (n+3) DOF manipulator if the mounted manipulator has n DOF. We propose a weighted pseudo-inverse based method to solve the inverse kinematics problem at velocity level for the omni-directional mobile manipulator. In our method, in addition to a primary task of following end-effector trajectory, a secondary task of obstacle avoidance is accomplished by maximizing a performance index that represents a distance between a link of the manipulator and an obstacle. Simulation results showed the feasibility of the proposed method. © 2023 Korean Institute of electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
