With the development of science and technology through social networks, the process of diffusion has become a controversial subject. In social networks, the process of diffusion is transmitted from one individual to another. The influence maximization problem, in which at least k nodes are chosen as the initial nodes of the spreader in the smallest amount of time, is one of the most critical aspects of the diffusion process. Furthermore, the initial nodes in the social network should generate the most influence on the other nodes in the network. However, in the algorithms proposed to solve the problem of influence maximization, the real-world factors which affect the influence probability in diffusion models are ignored for example, the influence probability is determined randomly. This problem causes influence maximization algorithms based on diffusion models to face the challenge of time-consuming Monte Carlo simulation. So, the RIM algorithm presented in this article which this method selects the initial nodes of the spreader according on their local reachability. In addition, Due to privacy in social networks, complete information about people such as gender, education, etc. is not available. For this reason, in the RIM algorithm, using the graph structure in social networks, the influence probability is calculated in the new DBT diffusion model. In addition, the RIM algorithm exhibits stable performance in the selection of the spreader's initial nodes in terms of influence spread, and execution time. © 2023 IEEE.

Reversible data hiding (RDH) is one special type of data hiding, and is widely used for many intended applications. Moreover, to protect the cover image, RDH in encrypted image (RDHEI) is accordingly proposed. With the reversibility and hiding data in encrypted image, RDHEI has potential utility in fields such as military and medical image transmission, and forensic analysis. Recently, Panchikkil et al. propose a RDHEI by using pixel swapping (RDHE-PSW) to swap some pixels in a block. The pixel swapping does not change pixel values, and thus Panchikkil et al.’s RDHEI-PSW can retain entropy and histogram. The smoothness of a block is calculated to extract the hidden bits and meantime recover the cover image. Panchikkil et al.’s RDHEI-PSW only hides two secret bits in every block. Recently, Kim et al. use pixel shifting (PSH), a circular right shift on a block, instead of pixel swapping to propose a RDHEI-PSH. In this paper, we still adopt PSH approach but use it in a different way (a modified PSH) to propose an enhanced RDHEI-PSH with a higher embedding capacity than Kim et al.’s RDHEI-PSH. Our enhanced RDHEI-PSH double the patterns on a block, on which we can embed more secret bits. Experimental results demonstrate that our enhanced RDHEI-PSH surpasses Panchikkil et al.’s RDHEI-PSW and Kim et al.’s RDHEI-PSH. © 2025 SPIE.

Fingerprints are crucial in identification of humans. The uniqueness of finger prints makes it an interesting subject. Fingerprints are termed as a technique used to define, assess, and quantify a person's physical and behavioral property. Deep learning has made its application in all the major fields such as natural language processing, computer vision and speech processing. Deep learning has also found its application in the important subject of fingerprint synthesis and biometric. The ever-growing complexity of fingerprint authentication issues, from cellphone authentication to airport security systems, seems to be best handled by these models. In recent years, deep learning-based models have been used more and more to raise the accuracy of various fingerprint recognition systems. The persuasive capacity of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to generate believable instances can be credibly taken from an existing distribution of samples. GAN exhibits exceptional performance on data generation-based tasks and also encourages study in privacy and security. In this work, using Adaptive Deep Convolution Generative Adversarial Networks (ADCGAN), we develop a model that generates and authenticate the fingerprints. A Socofing dataset was trained on ADGAN model. The model gave 92% accuracy. The conduct of fingerprint research has been made possible due to ADGAN, without restrictions related to the confidential nature of biometric data. © 2023 IEEE.

The automation of processes in greenhouses provides a significant advantage to the agricultural sector. Due to the rapid growth of the population, increasing demand for food and labor shortage make the autonomous monitoring and management of agricultural work more important. Capsicum is a largely consumed vegetable in South Asia, which can be efficiently grown in greenhouses. Although there are many capsicum farms, they lack quality and efficient production to match the increasing demand. This paper proposes a robotic system for use in capsicum greenhouses that can navigate and monitor the plants to identify diseases, track the yield, and take remediation actions. The robot navigates to each plant in the greenhouse autonomously by using the SLAM approach with the use of laser range sensor data. The 4 DoF robotic arm of the robot has a camera and a sprayer attached to its end to investigate plants and spray remedies to diseased plants. The robotic arm moves around the plant to capture the images to detect deceases and count the pods to estimate the yield. The sprayer of the robot sprays remedies precisely to targeted plants to control pests and diseases. The system was successfully implemented and tested with the proposed functions. © 2023 IEEE.

This study delves into the prediction of stock prices in the Bangladesh stock market using advanced deep learning frameworks, with a particular focus on the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) model. Traditional statistical models often struggle to effectively capture the complex, non-linear characteristics of financial data, leading to inconsistent results. The Bi-LSTM model, however, addresses this challenge by processing data in both forward and backward sequences, making it particularly suitable for analyzing the intricate dynamics of the Bangladesh stock market. A rigorous feature engineering process is undertaken, incorporating 64 distinct features that include market trends, stock-specific indicators, technical and fundamental variables, as well as crucial macroeconomic factors like gold prices and foreign exchange reserves. The dataset spans historical stock market data from 2012 to 2022, with comprehensive preprocessing steps taken to ensure data quality and consistency. Hyperparameter tuning is executed through a grid search to optimize model performance. The evaluation of the Bi-LSTM model is carried out using metrics such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and the R2 score, which demonstrate its enhanced predictive power compared to traditional models. This research contributes to the growing field of deep learning in financial forecasting, offering new perspectives for stock price prediction in emerging markets, while also addressing ethical issues to minimize risks like market manipulation. © 2024 IEEE.

To address the premature convergence and search stagnation of arithmetic optimization algorithm (AOA), the paper proposes a hybrid arithmetic optimization algorithm (HAOA) and applies it to the practical robot path planning (RPP) problem. In initialization phase, the chaotic mechanism is used to create high-quality individuals. In evolution phase, the stochastic disturbance method is applied to enhance the exchange of information between different individuals. The solution space information around the candidate solution was integrated by Levy flight to enhance gene diversity and enhance search performance. In order to better solver the RPP problem, the Spline interpolation method is adapted to the HAOA algorithm for path optimization, so as to smooth the path curve and ensure the planning accuracy. Finally, numeric experiments of benchmark functions and RPP instances verify HAOA’s excellent performance in accuracy and robustness. This research shows arithmetic optimization algorithm can quickly find the global optimal solution, and has fast convergence speed and accuracy. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Tea cultivation stands out as one of the most significant export products that contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the previous decades, the substantial work-force gradually transitioned to different occupations. Compared to other crops, tea cultivation demands costly and meticulous upkeep. With a shortage of labor, maintaining tea estates grew tougher, leading to decreased yields. In reaction, estate owners transitioned to cultivating low-maintenance crops. The TeaBot is an advanced robot designed to replace human labor for watering and fertilizing vast tea estates. The TeaBot distinguishes itself by operating in rough outdoor terrain and infrastructure-free navigation in real tea plantations. Given that tea plants demand continuous hydration and nutrients for optimal crop yield, TeaBot plays a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency while reducing water and fertilizer wastage. Mainly four motor-powered wheels move accurately by translating linear and angular velocities using a precise motor control algorithm. An autonomous navigation algorithm was developed using two distinct approaches, which include deep learning-based computer vision and classical computer vision. The selection of the classical computer vision method was predicated upon its notable attributes, including high precision, minimal resource utilization, and optimal efficiency. A deep learning-based stem identification model was trained based on MobileNetV2 architecture to detect where the plant stem meets the ground for efficient hydration of individual plants. This lightweight model achieved 90% detection accuracy. The precise results of stem detection have made the liquid fertilization process more efficient. © 2023 IEEE.

The objective of this paper is to detect the over speed of vehicles on the roads. Although maximum speed limit signs exist on the roads, many accidents keep on because of high-speed driving. It is necessary to solve these problems through automation techniques. This paper describes a speed detection system for vehicles, the traffic police can easily check the speed of vehicles by using this system. This system consists of a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) LOGO! V8.3, two Laser sensors, an HMI (Human Machine Interface), a speed camera, and a LOGO! CMR (Communication Module Radio). The detected speed is displayed on the HMI display, moreover, if a vehicle crosses the limited speed, this system displays the over-speed on HMI, and the speed camera is activated to capture an image of that vehicle. Also, an SMS (Short Messages Service) will be sent by the CMR to the traffic authority informing them about the violation to take the necessary legal actions. The system can also store the collected data for documentation purposes. The authors describe a simple, affordable technique for monitoring vehicles' speeds in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

With the growing number of sophisticated deep learning algorithms and fake video generation applications, it is now possible to create highly realistic deepfake videos. Faceswap is the most commonly employed deepfakes approach, which is challenging to detect due to variations in the facial skin tone, illumination conditions, presence of accessories like glasses on the face, compression artifacts, etc. Existing local texture descriptors have achieved better performance on face recognition applications;however, they compute only the limited directional information while ignoring the magnitude details. This motivated us to develop a robust local texture descriptor to extract more directional and magnitude details from the adjacent pixels to effectively represent the video frames. For this purpose, we proposed a robust multi-directional hexadecimal feature descriptor (MDHFD) by combining the local hexadecimal pattern (LHeXDP) and Local Adjacent Neighborhood Magnitude Pattern (LANMP). LHeXDP calculates the orientation-based pattern by computing 1st- and 2nd-order derivatives at 0°, 45°, 90°, and 135° angles from each center pixel. LANMP computes the magnitude information from each central pixel to its adjacent pixels in horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and diagonal-back directions. Histograms of both the LHeXDP and LANMP are fused to compute a multi-directional feature vector, which is used to train a support vector machine to classify between the original or faceswap deepfakes video. We measured the performance of our system on the challenging faceswap subset of a diverse and large-scale Face Forensic++ and World Leaders datasets. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed method outperforms state-of-art methods for the detection of faceswap deepfakes. © 2022 IEEE.

The presence of water in human life is crucial, and God has blessed humans much with its availability. This paper tries to reduce the amount of water that people use for washing in all aspects of daily life and instead utilize it to irrigate gardens and maintain hygienic facilities. The importance of water as a fundamental ingredient and the range of social and age groups that regularly take advantage of the washing process made it an ideal location for water waste during the washing process. This is why the authors choose this region to conduct their research. The monitoring and management of water usage during the washing process are simulated using PLC techniques. © 2023 IEEE.
