This essay's primary focus is on Google Cloud's use in healthcare and how it affects data management, teamwork, and cost-effectiveness. With a focus on Google Cloud, which improves the processing, storing, and accessibility of medical data, the study examines the trends, advantages, and persistent challenges that come with the increasing usage of cloud computing technology. These consist of remote patient monitoring, 'artificial intelligence,' and 'machine learning' applications in diagnostics, diagnostics, and personalized medicine. Fish size measurement in aquatic environments plays a pivotal role in understanding fish biology, ecology, and fisheries management. This survey explores various methodologies employed for fish size measurement, emphasizing their significance in aquaculture, fisheries, Ocean and ecological research. Techniques encompass both contact and non-contact methods, with advancements in imaging technologies allowing for non-invasive measurements. These approaches involve the use of cameras, image processing software, and advanced machinery to estimate fish size without causing stress or harm to the fish. While these methods offer promising avenues for precise measurements, challenges exist, including accuracy concerns and environmental limitations. Consequently, there's ongoing research to refine these techniques and ensure their applicability across different fish species and aquatic conditions. Research on teaching human morality to AI has evolved to enhance alignment with human commonsense based on descriptive ethics. However, Language Models (LMs) based on human commonsense are limited in comprehending various moral perspectives and making moral judgments in unusual situations. To tackle these challenges, we propose Moral Instruction Fine-Tuning (MIST) to align LMs with diverse ethical principles. We demonstrate that MIST enables diverse ethical reasoning and significantly enhances zero-shot generalization in unseen moral tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

Computed Tomography (CT) scanning offers 3D insights into the human body but involves higher radiation exposure than traditional X-Rays, increasing the relevance of 3D reconstructions from 2D data. In this work, datasets of CT- pseudo-X-Ray and CT- Digitally Reconstructed Radiograph (DRR) pairs are generated using ray-sum tracing and projection techniques. This can be helpful for implementing machine learning and deep learning architecture as 2-D data availability is limited. The described approach generates CT–pseudo-X-Ray and CT–Digitally Reconstructed Radiograph (DRR) pairs using ray-sum tracing and projection methods. The pseudo-X-Ray is created by combining bone and soft tissue projections, while the DRR is derived via ray-sum tracing. By retaining the CT images in Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) format, the created dataset enhances robustness and efficiency, supporting 3D reconstruction—a rapidly advancing field. © 2025 IEEE.

The integration of Satellite-Terrestrial Networks (ISTN) necessitates advanced security measures, particularly Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs). This study introduces hybrid sequential intrusion detection models for ISTNs, combining Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques. The models employ both anomaly-based and signature-based detection to enhance accuracy, utilizing methods such as Extra Trees (ET), Decision Trees (DT), Random Forest (RF), XGBoost (XGB), and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU). These models are chosen for their superior performance and are used sequentially to improve IDSs effectiveness. RF-based Sequential Feature Selection (RF-SFS) is also utilized to reduce dataset dimensionality, which in turn decreases the computational costs for each model. Evaluations using UNSW-NB15 and STIN datasets-representing terrestrial and satellite traffic, respectively-demonstrate the models' superiority over traditional IDSs. The XGB-ET model achieved 99.99% accuracy in anomaly detection, while the XGB-GRU model attained 89% accuracy in signature-based detection on the UNSW-NB15 dataset. On the STIN dataset, the ET-DT-GRU model reached 96.47% accuracy in signature-based detection. Additionally, RF-SFS reduced execution times, with training and testing speedups up to 2.8x. © 2024 IEEE.

Barcode scanning errors in retail environments contribute to inventory discrepancies, financial losses, and inefficiencies in stock management. Traditional optical barcode scanning methods are prone to failures due to occlusion, poor lighting conditions, and barcode damage. While recent advancements such as computer vision, deep learning-based error detection, and RFID integration have improved scanning accuracy, these approaches still face challenges related to high computational requirements, environmental dependencies, and implementation costs. This paper proposes a novel method utilizing X-ray imaging technology and advanced machine learning algorithms to detect improperly scanned or missing barcodes in real time. The system captures detailed X-ray images of items as they enter retail stores or warehouses and applies deep learning models to analyze barcode visibility. Real-time alerts are generated when scanning anomalies are detected, enabling prompt corrective action. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly improves barcode detection accuracy, enhances inventory management, and reduces operational costs. The findings highlight the potential for widespread deployment in retail and logistics environments, offering a robust solution to barcode scanning challenges. © 2025 IEEE.

Predicting age through audio is essential for tailored user experiences, such as content recommendations and targeted advertisements. Better accessibility features for those with age-or gender-specific needs are also made possible by it. This paper presents a comprehensive approach to gender classification using voice data, employing deep learning techniques such as Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), Convolutional Neyral Network (CNN), and Residual Network (ResNet) models. The work begins with the preprocessing of audio data, extracting Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) as features. To address class imbalance, Random Oversampling and Random Undersampling techniques are applied. Then, using the resampled data, LSTM, CNN, and ResNet models are built and trained. Model evaluation includes metrics such as classification reports, confusion matrices, and (Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve) ROC curves. The outcomes show how successful the suggested models are, with considerations for oversampling and undersampling strategies. The results, based on training the model on the SLR45 dataset, demonstrate an impressive accuracy of approximately 99% for gender classification by CNN. © 2024 IEEE.

A rising number of spy cameras installed in sensitive locations globally poses an escalating threat to personal privacy. Detecting these small and well-concealed cameras with the naked eye is challenging. Despite the abundance of Android apps, accurate detection remains elusive, with many requiring subscriptions and some charging users without prior notice. Furthermore, most IoT devices are designed to detect wired cameras, overlooking the prevalence of wireless spy cameras. Existing studies often rely on impractical methods, such as wireless transmission detection. The primary objective of this paper is to develop a cost-effective, scalable, robust, and user-friendly spy camera detector. This detector identifies all night vision cameras emitting infrared light, promptly alerting the user through a beep sound from the attached buzzer. In addressing the imperative need for heightened privacy protection, the IoT spy camera detector adept.y spots concealed cameras via IR signals. By offering user-friendly location alerts through a reassuring buzzer, it actively contributes to enhancing security measures against evolving privacy threats, creating a safer environment for all. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper addresses the problem that RGB cameras have a relatively low recognition rate for finding people in low-light environments, and aims to use a them1al imaging camera simultaneously to increase the recognition rate for finding people. For this purpose, a bounding box is created based on what is found in the thermal image using the YOL0v8 model, and the boundary line is extracted using the Canny Edge detection algorithm. Then, by calculating the displacement between the border of the high-intensity image and the border of the thermal image, the error of the RGB camera and the them1al imaging camera is shifted upward. Then, adjust the fineness of the boundary line based on the military value of the Canny Edge detection algorithm. As a result, compared to the initial low-light image, the final low-light image with the border selected had a human recognition rate of 22% on average. © 2024 IEEE.

Crop row detection is important to enable precise management of fields and optimize the use of resources such as fertilizers and water. Autonomous machines need an effective but also robust real-time row detection system to be able to adapt to different field conditions. In this paper, we present an enhanced crop row detection approach which integrates traditional computer vision methods with further techniques such as k-means clustering or probabilistic Hough transformation. The resulting hybrid method allows for efficient and robust detection of straight and curved crop rows in image and video material. We validate our approach empirically on the crop row benchmark dataset (CRBD) and compare it with other state-of-the-art approaches. Furthermore, we demonstrate that our approach is designed to be adaptive and thus becomes straightforwardly transferable to other experimental setups. To corroborate that, we report on results when our approach is validated on representative corner cases which have been collected in the scope of a research project. Observations and current limitations of our approach are discussed along with possible solutions to overcome them in future work. © 2024 Gesellschaft fur Informatik (GI). All rights reserved.
