This project explores the symbiotic relationship between wearable technology, machine learning, and healthcare in predicting multiple diseases through smartwatch data analysis. Concentrating on sleep apnea, atrial fibrillation (AFib), and stress detection, three predictive models were developed, achieving respective accuracies of 85%, 97%, and 87%. This research highlights how useful smartwatches can be, as they come with sensors that can monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, physical activities, and also sleep patterns in real-time, offering valuable health monitoring features. By addressing prevalent global diseases, the research highlights the projected adoption surge of wearables, exceeding one billion by 2022, and introduces an interactive interface facilitating user-input health metrics for disease prediction. The practical application of these models for consistent, real-time health checkups is emphasized. However, the study acknowledges privacy concerns and underscores the necessity for validation studies to ensure reliability. This research marks a significant stride in advancing personalized healthcare, showcasing the potential of integrating smartwatches and machine learning for proactive disease identification and prevention. The achieved accuracies of the models affirm their utility in offering tailored health insights, underscoring the transformative impact of this interdisciplinary approach on future healthcare paradigms © 2024 IEEE.

The enforcement and protection of evidence do have a critical position in the judicial system and procedures. Traditional means of preserving evidence are susceptible to damage, loss, or unauthorized access, as they might be considered in today's world. This paper provides a new means of keeping evidence-safe using blockchain technology, thus promoting safety, traceability, and authenticity. The proposed structure guarantees tamper-proof records and proper access to data with a decentralized and immutable ledger offered by the network. The cryptographic methodology coupled with smart contracts allows for the secure and transparent management of the lifecycle of forensic evidence. Analysis of the system architecture and its capability to transform the nature of evidence storage practice was done by this investigation. Notable improvements in data integrity, transparency, and operational efficiencies are evidenced when compared to traditional approaches via case studies and simulations. Pilot implementation study findings point to the strength, scalability, and effectiveness of blockchain in ensuring secure forensic evidence management. This work adds to the growing body of new literature on blockchain beyond cryptocurrency by demonstrating its capacity to tackle critical challenges facing forensic data security. © 2024 IEEE.

Re-identification has become a crucial issue in computer vision today as it allows for tracking objects in both continuous and discontinuous scenarios. Despite achieving perfect detection results, anchor-based trackers encountered difficulties in effectively learning re-identification features, due to various issues. This research proposes strategies aimed at improving the capability of anchor-based trackers to learn high-quality re-identification (re-ID) features. The model developed through our strategies can extract more distinct features and achieve almost 0.57 Multiple Object Tracking Accuracy (MOTA) on MOT20, even under a limited training dataset. This result indicates that our proposed strategies hold potential for improving the performance of anchor-based trackers. © 2024 IEEE.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) significantly impacts patient quality of life and is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. This paper introduces an innovative algorithm for diagnosing acid-base disorders in COPD patients, incorporating traditional and advanced methodologies like the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation and Bedside Stewart Method. The algorithm enhances the accuracy and speed of Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis, crucial for COPD management. We present a comprehensive approach that includes a Gamblegram for visualizing acid-base balance and a sophisticated system architecture employing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for efficient ABG report processing. Our findings demonstrate the algorithm's efficacy in providing rapid, detailed analysis, markedly reducing treatment initiation time. This advancement holds significant potential in revolutionizing COPD patient care by improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment strategies for acid-base disorders. © 2024 IEEE.

The rise in air pollution emanating from fossil fuel consumption, tyre wear, quarrying and brick units and industries has its severe harmful effects on environment. Thus, it has made air pollution forecasting a crucial research area today. There is a need to analyze the trend and reasons for temporal variations in AQI levels of Pune city and also to find the locations worst affected by each of the 6 dominant pollutants. In this work, air pollutants concentration data of a year is extracted from Pune Smart City office, the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for implementing Smart City Mission in Pune City. This work deals with pre-processing 1 year data concerning concentration levels of dominant AQI pollutants, then analysis and visualizations are done using data analytics tools of Tableau and Machine Learning decision tree algorithm. Correlation matrix features and Tableau visualizations gives deeper insights about the data. Supervised machine Learning algorithm - Random Forest and Time Series forecast model of tableau are built to predict the air quality and best fit the data with maximum accuracy. Easily understandable Tableau dashboard trends define the temporal variations clearly. Data analysis provides the method to predict the future air pollution levels so that preventive measures can be implemented by people as well as administration hence making the city literally smart. © 2023 IEEE.

This research proposes a system as a solution for the challenges faced by Sri Lanka's historic railway system, such as scheduling delays, overcrowding, manual ticketing, and management inefficiencies. It proposes a multi-subsystem approach, incorporating GPS tracking, RFID-based e-ticketing, seat reservation, and vision-based people counting. The GPS-based real-time train tracking system performs accurately within 24 meters, with the MQTT protocol showing twice the speed of the HTTP-based system. All subsystems use the MQTT protocol to enhance efficiency, reliability, and passenger experience. The study's data and methodology demonstrate the effectiveness of these innovations in improving scheduling, passenger flow, and overall system performance, offering promising solutions for modernizing Sri Lanka's railway infrastructure. © 2024 IEEE.

This study introduces a comprehensive data-driven approach to decipher the intricate dynamics of high-power laser ablation phenomena and a vast dataset of experimental observations. Laser ablation experiments were performed using a high repetition rate laser (>1 kHz) or a low repetition rate laser (10 Hz) at a wavelength of 1064 nm. The target sample was an aluminum plate placed on a vacuum chamber. The laser fluence was set to the same value above the ablation threshold. Plasma parameters and laser power were observed by photodiode signals from the orifice probe and laser exit. The drift velocity and ion rectification current were considered a function of laser fluence to confirm the relationship between the plasma parameters. © 2024 Eindhoven University of technology.

The blockchain's immutability and invulnerability are put to use here to keep court documents incorruptible and easily accessible to legitimate users. Court Ledger eliminates the need for time-consuming and prone-to-error manual record-keeping by keeping track of and updating court records in real time. Furthermore, the system protects sensitive information while allowing authorized users access to court documents. Court Ledger has the ability to completely change the way courts handle their case files by providing a streamlined, easy-to-use platform for doing so. © 2023 IEEE.
