Foraminifera are marine microfossils encased in multi-layered shells and serve as crucial indicators in geological, paleontological, and environmental studies. They are sensitive to environmental factors and provide valuable insights into past conditions such as sea temperature, dept., and oxygen levels. However, microscopic images of foraminifera often exhibit imperfections like blur, noise, and insufficient detail, which complicate accurate analysis. This study addresses these challenges through advanced image processing techniques to enhance image quality. The research evaluates and compares various image enhancement methods including Unsharp Masking (USM), Local Laplacian Filter (LLF), Histogram Equalization (HE), Adaptive Histogram Equalization (AHE), Single-Scale Retinex (SSR), and Multi-Scale Retinex (MSR). Quantitative metrics such as MSE, RMSE, PSNR, and SSIM are used to assess the effectiveness of each technique, while qualitative parameters include image quality, noise, color contrast, and texture detail. The USM method yields the highest SSIM value of 0.3868 and the lowest MSE (5517.34) and RMSE (74.28), indicating a minimal difference from the ground truth. However, qualitative evaluations support the combination of LLF with AHE, yielding the highest SSIM (0.3559) among LLF methods. LLF combined with AHE enhances image clarity, brightness, and structural fidelity, essential for accurate analysis and identification. © 2024 IEEE.

Over the last few years, the malware industry has grown rapidly, becoming more structured and more complex. Modern malware uses sophisticated methods like code obfuscation, packing, and signature evasion to get around antivirus software. Polymorphic and metamorphic malware together with other evasive strategies, present a significant obstacle to cybersecurity. The development of highly advanced AI models to tackle these problems is essential. This paper presents a deep capsule neural network architecture for detection and classification of malware from an image dataset. In the first place, malware executables are provided as grayscale images, which are then subjected to feature extraction using EfficientNetB0 models. Capsule networks are then applied to catch spatial relationships within the images for classification. Separated from other advanced deep learning architectures, the proposed model exhibits superior performance, attaining a classification test accuracy of 98.25%. Moreover, it has high specificity and sensitivity with scores of 99.18% and 97.95% respectively, which were tested using the Microsoft Malware Classification Challenge (MMCC) dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as small airborne base stations is gradually becoming a research hotspot in the field of wireless communications. With the flexible deployment, wide coverage and low cost, UAV communications show great potential in the fields of emergency rescue, environmental monitoring and military operations. In particular, the easier availability of line-of-sight (LOS) links for UAVs makes its combination with millimetre wave (mmWave) technology significantly enhance the communication bandwidth and data transfer rate. However, the very limited coverage of mmWave communications greatly affects the actual data rates provided by small aerial base stations of mmWave UAVs, especially considering user movement on the ground. In this paper, we study the joint optimisation problem of UAV deployment, user association, spectrum resource allocation in millimetre-wave heterogeneous networks, and explore the impact of different user movement models on system performance. Given that this problem is NP-hard, our paper proposes an MCR-SAC method to maximize the network's total throughput. Simulation results demonstrate an average 18% improvement in total transmission rate compared to the conventional. © 2024 IEEE.

Salt and pepper noise is a type of impulse noise that affects digital images. It appears as bright or dark pixels that are randomly distributed throughout the image. Salt and pepper noise can be caused by a variety of factors, such as sensor defects, transmission errors, and software errors. Denoising salt and pepper noise is important because it can significantly improve the quality of an image, making it easier to interpret and process. It can also improve the performance of image processing tasks such as edge detection, segmentation, and classification. There are a number of methods for denoising salt and pepper noise, including median filtering, adaptive median filtering, morphological filtering, and deep learning-based methods. The following paper discusses some of the latest methods which are used to denoise SAP affected images and identifies some of the shortcomings of the current methods. This forms the basis of the research which has been subsequently carried out to design a new method of denoising SAP affected images using deep learning. This paper proposes a new model to denoise SAP affected images using custom layers from the Tensorflow library along with Convolutional Neural Networks, specifically the DnCNN model. © 2024 IEEE.

This study provides an in-dept. analysis of Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) performance for various diversity combining techniques under Nakagami-m fading scenarios. It primarily evaluates the SNR Gain of Equal Gain Combining (EGC) in practical fading situations. A generalized formula that can be applied to multiple fading environments - such as Rayleigh, Rician, and the worst-case conditions - is established. The Mean SNR Gains for different combining techniques are calculated, illustrated graphically, and compared across these fading conditions. The findings indicate that the Mean SNR Gain for Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) is independent of the fading parameter, highlighting its effectiveness as the optimal combining technique. © 2024 IEEE.

As Social media penetration increases in day-to-day life so does the growth of hate speech. After 2016 due to affordability of internet many user on boarded the internet which not only increased social media interactions but also growth of hate speech. be it religion phobia, homophobia, gender, toxicity etc. To control hate speech, NLP based machine learning model has been proposed. The proposed model uses TFIDF feature generation method to which binarized naive bayes is applied to calculate maximum likelihood feature for each labels. Model has been trained with logistic regression on the maximum likelihood feature. which helps to classify hate speech and moderate accordingly. The proposed model produces an overall accuracy of 83 percent and able to achieve 5 percent improvement compared to multinomial naive bayes' production in identifying hate speech and classifying it under various labels. © 2023 IEEE.

JavaScript is one of the most widely used languages in modern web development. The unique way JavaScript inherits properties and methods between objects leads to a unique vulnerability called prototype pollution. In this paper, we study the problem in a holistic way using a multivocal literature review (MLR). It includes reviews of grey literature (GL) reviews in addition to formal literature to summarize the state of the art and current practice on this topic. We found that the impact of this vulnerability varies due to different implementations of JavaScript, e.g., denial of service (DoS), property injection, session fixation, remote code execution (RCE), privilege escalation, SQL injection, and cross-site scripting (XSS). We also found several methods to detect and mitigate prototype pollution. These include static analysis, dynamic analysis, and hybrid analysis for prototype pollution detection and analysis. Many concerned companies are also successfully mitigating the supply-chain risk of prototype pollution through security crowdsourcing, such as running a bug bounty program, managing an advisories database, and private reporting. © 2023 IEEE.

With the increasing demand for smart home-automated systems, there is a growing need for efficient and intelligent control mechanisms that enhance comfort and energy efficiency. A smart fan control system is proposed, utilizing ultrasonic and PIR sensors for reliable person detection and an LM35 temperature sensor for dynamic fan speed regulation. The system ensures immediate fan activation upon detecting a person, contributing to a comfortable environment. The LM35 sensor adjusts the fan speed based on room temperature, maximizing energy efficiency. Unlike existing approaches that rely on complex fuzzy logic systems, this method prioritizes simplicity and effectiveness. The widespread availability of sensors enhances user-friendliness without compromising functionality. The proposed system offers valuable insights into smart room control. It presents a robust solution, particularly beneficial for individuals with physical disabilities by improving their quality of life through sensor-based activation and environmental control. © 2024 IEEE.

Agensip Creative Agency is one of the creative industry start-ups that has launched the Agensip Class website. Agensip Class is a digital learning website for young people who are interested in learning about the creative sector. In the use of a website, user satisfaction is a factor that affects the effectiveness and efficiency when the website is used. This study aims to determine the usability level of the Agency Class website in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. In addition, this study was conducted using a Usability testing approach with 30 respondents and by using the Labyrinth Design tool. Based on the results of the evaluation that has been carried out, it can be seen that the calculation of the effectiveness of the website is in accordance with ISO/IEC 9126-4 which produces a value of 69.9%. Meanwhile, the final result of the degree of efficiency based on time-based efficiency calculations is 0.0171366833 a second. In addition, the findings of usability testing with the Maze Design tool resulted in a usability score of 64. Furthermore, for the grade scale this website is in grade C, namely good with a score of 75.6 which indicates that users are quite satisfied in using the website. © 2024 IEEE.

Crowdfunding, an increasingly popular form of community fundraising, allows individuals to contribute funds to support various projects collectively. This method's growth is attributed to the widespread use of social media and crowdfunding platforms. Despite its effectiveness in resource mobilization, crowdfunding faces challenges in ensuring se-cure funding handling and maintaining transparency and accountability. This study presents a novel approach tailored for Indonesian cooperatives, crucial in driving economic and community growth, proposing a token-based crowdfunding model using Hyperledger Fabric's private blockchain network. It ensures secure, immutable transaction records and incor-porates digital tokens representing equity, debt, or rewards. This approach addresses complex regulatory frameworks and emphasizes the need for stringent accountability and security measures while introducing asset representation and liquidity in fundraising. Implementing such a system promises to modernize cooperative fundraising, improving financial inclusivity and community engagement while adhering to local standards. © 2024 IEEE.
