In this paper, we propose the grid-based output control method for wind farm. To do this, we propose the output control method using the PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm. Secondly, we propose the method for detecting the harmonics using STFT(Short-Time Fourier Transform) algorithm. And last, we propose the method for compensating the harmonics using neural network. It presents a hybrid battery charging system unifying an on-board charger (OBC) with a low voltage dc-to-dc converter (LDC) for small and light design of EV charger. The proposed hybrid charger consists of three H-bridge converters including a selective switch, a high frequency transformer, and inductors. Front-end converter connected to the grid by a selective switch has two roles. One is to obtain unity power factor by ac-to-dc converting. It belongs to one of the behavior of OBC. The other is to charge an auxiliary battery by working a step-down converter. Back-end converter employs a transformer to ensure galvanic isolation between the grid and EV. It charges propulsion battery by phase-shift control, and as the occasion demands, energy stored in propulsion battery discharges to dc-link capacitor to supply power to the grid or auxiliary battery. To verify the validity of the proposed approach, we carry out computer-aided simulations and experiments.

The mapping was achieved through Neural Network by determining a dynamic gain of robot haptic feedback. The advancements in drug delivery system are of great value when the betterment of human life comes into one's mind. Although so many improvisations have already been done over the years, but many challenges remain in this area. Typically, a drug delivery system consists of drug reservoir and a micropump and micropump requires an actuator for the purpose of pumping the fluid. In the present work, piezoelectric actuator is used because of its faster response time in generating large amount of force. The aim of the project is to design such an efficient piezoelectric actuator based on MEMS technology for delivering required amount of the fluid to the target site. Most of the statistical signal analysis processed in the time domain and the frequency domain are based on the assumption that the signal is weakly stationary (wide sense stationary). Therefore, it is necessary to know whether the surface EMG signals processed in the statistical basis satisfy the condition of weak stationarity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accuracy of the Run-test, modified Run-test, RA(reverse arrangement)-test, and modified RA-test for assessing surface EMG signal stationarity. Six stationary and three non-stationary signals were simulated by using sine wave, AR(autoregressive) modeling, and real surface EMG. The simulated signals were tested for stationarity using nine different methods of Run-test and RA-test. The results showed that the modified Run-test method2 (mRT2) classified exactly the surface EMG signals by stationarity with 100% accuracy. This finding indicates that the mRT2 may be the best way for assessing stationarity in surface EMG signals.

Most of the statistical signal analysis processed in the time domain and the frequency domain are based on the assumption that the signal is weakly stationary (wide sense stationary). Therefore, it is necessary to know whether the surface EMG signals processed in the statistical basis satisfy the condition of the weak stationarity. The purpose of this study is to find optimal segment length of surface EMG signal for assessing stationarity with the modified Run-test and RA-test. Ten stationary surface EMG signals were simulated by AR(autoregressive) modeling, and ten real surface EMG signals were recorded from biceps brachii muscle and then modified to have non-stationary structures. In condition of varying segment length from 20ms to 100ms, stationarity of the signals was tested by using six different methods of modified Run-test and RA-test. The results indicate that the optimal segment length for the surface EMG is 30ms˜35ms, and the best way for assessing surface EMG signal stationarity is the modified Run-test (Run2) method using this optimal length. Adaptive level based sampling law is proposed to reduce error between signal and sampled output. Adaptive law is formulated based on variable resolution concept as per variation of first derivative of signal. When there is faster variation in incoming signal properties beyond the limit of level based sampling then it results into violation of tracking condition. Adaptation is effective when time difference between two sampling instances based on level based sampling is less than loop delay of device. Using variable resolution, sampling level has been placed dynamically and appropriately to match loop delay criteria. Placed levels are having freedom to have separation between 1 to 2N integer multiple of resolution for N bit ADC. In the proposed method of variation in quantization size, a minimum possible value of integer multiple is selected for providing change in quantization size to match loop delay of device. This is done in order to reduce error between signal and sampled output in comparison to existing method of adaptive level based sampling. The proposed concept is demonstrated via simulation environment and performance is compared with standard level based sampling and well established adaptive level based sampling approach.
