Current optimization methods for microgrid scheduling face issues such as insufficient precision in energy distribution, high operational costs, and inefficiency. In response to these challenges, an optimization scheduling method for multi-energy microgrids based on the QUBO (Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization) quantum computing model is proposed in this paper, alongside a discretization approach based on a grid partitioning strategy. To validate the feasibility of addressing microgrid optimization scheduling problems in a quantum computing environment, a QUBO model is constructed and simulation studies are conducted in the qbsolv environment provided by D-Wave. The results indicate that operational costs are significantly reduced with an increase in the number of grids, particularly a reduction of 4.52% when the number of grids increases from five to ten. This method not only effectively enhances the precision of electricity supply and energy utilization efficiency but also reduces unnecessary electrical waste and economic costs. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Small object detection aims to localize and classify small objects within images. With recent advances in large-scale vision-language pretraining, finetuning pretrained object detection models has emerged as a promising approach. However, finetuning large models is computationally and memory expensive. To address this issue, this paper introduces multi-point positional insertion (MPI) tuning, a parameter-efficient finetuning (PEFT) method for small object detection. Specifically, MPI incorporates multiple positional embeddings into a frozen pretrained model, enabling the efficient detection of small objects by providing precise positional information to latent features. Through experiments, we demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method on the SODA-D dataset. MPI performed comparably to conventional PEFT methods, including CoOp and VPT, while significantly reducing the number of parameters that need to be tuned.

On the Connection Between Magnetic-Field Odometry Aided Inertial Navigation and Magnetic-Field SLAM

Magnetic-field simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) using consumer-grade inertial and magnetometer sensors offers a scalable, cost-effective solution for indoor localization. However, the rapid error accumulation in the inertial navigation process limits the feasible exploratory phases of these systems. Advances in magnetometer array processing have demonstrated that odometry information, i.e., displacement and rotation information, can be extracted from local magnetic field variations and used to create magnetic-field odometry-aided inertial navigation systems. The error growth rate of these systems is significantly lower than that of standalone inertial navigation systems. This study seeks an answer to whether a magnetic-field SLAM system fed with measurements from a magnetometer array can indirectly extract odometry information — without requiring algorithmic modifications — and thus sustain longer exploratory phases. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that such a system can extract odometry information and indirectly create a magnetic field odometry-aided inertial navigation system during the exploration phases. This contribution discusses the uncertainties associated with single-event aircraft system noise as predicted with so-called Scientific simulation tools. We aim to highlight the inherent uncertainties of such simulations and increase awareness when analyzing these system noise prediction results. The considerations presented here are applicable to predictions with Scientific simulation tools in general but in this study are tailored to a specific case. This contribution presents (1) the authors’ application of uncertainty quantification for aircraft noise simulations, (2) the status quo of research activities, and (3) a specific application case. For this study, an application case that is of high priority to the Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) within the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is selected. The presented activities aim to support ongoing technical discussions concerning the definition of Landing and Take-off (LTO) noise certification regulations for novel civil supersonic transport aircraft (SST). The findings are compared to results from the literature. Based on the findings, initial conclusions can be derived for the potential community noise impact if these vehicles are in operation. Although the present work focuses on single events, the outcome directly affects whole fleet scenarios because they are assembled from single-event data. © 2025, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. A diffusion method based on polar coordinate for ultrasound images denoising

The paper presents a novel anisotropic diffusion approach to the problem of ultrasound images denoising based on the polar-coordinate *** gradients based on the polar coordinate are introduced and they are more suitable for ultrasound images than horizontal gradients and vertical gradients commonly used in anisotropic diffusion ***,an adaptive adjustment scheme for the threshold parameter in conduction functions is presented according to the incident angle of the ultrasonic beam with respect to the organ ***,based on the structure matrix,an edge-adaptive diffusion model is introduced,which can selectively preserve the edge from the blurring or smooth *** results of real ultrasound images show the validity of the presented approach,which takes the physical imaging mechanism of ultrasonic devices into account.

Maneuver and vibration reduction of flexible spacecraft using sliding mode/command shaping technique

A generalized scheme based on the sliding mode and component synthesis vibration suppression (CSVS) method has been proposed for the rotational maneuver and vibration suppression of an orbiting spacecraft with flexible appendages. The proposed control design process is twofold: design of the attitude controller followed by the design of a flexible vibration attenuator. The attitude controller using only the attitude and the rate information for the flexible spacecraft (FS) is designed to serve two purposes: it forces the attitude motion onto a pre-selected sliding surface and then guides it to the state space origin. The shaped command input controller based on the CSVS method is designed for the reduction of the flexible mode vibration, which only requires information about the natural frequency and damping of the closed system. This information is used to discretize the input so that minimum energy is injected via the controller to the flexible modes of the spacecraft. Additionally, to extend the CSVS method to the system with the on-off actuators, the pulse-width pulse-frequency (PWPF) modulation is introduced to control the thruster firing and integrated with the CSVS method. PWPF modulation is a control method that provides pseudo-linear operation for an on-off thruster. The proposed control strategy has been implemented on a FS, which is a hub with symmetric cantilever flexible beam appendages and can undergo a single axis rotation. The results have been proven the potential of this technique to control FS.

Description and verification of switched control systems

A modeling framework has been constructed using the theory of hybrid control systems for the switched control systems (SCS) and it can be more effectively used to describe the behavior of the systems and to more easily realize the simulation of the closed loop SCS under the MATLAB environment. On the other hand, a hybrid automaton model is established to analyze and verify the switched control systems. The proposed method is illustrated by an example of switched inverted pendulum control system.

Modeling and simulations of orbital capture with space tether-net system

A new flexible tether-net space robotic system used to capture space debris is presented in this paper. With a mass point assumption, a dynamic model of the tether-net system was established in orbital frame by applying Lagrange Equations. In order to investigate the net in-plane trajectories after being cast, the non-controlled R-bar and V-bar captures were simulated with ignoring the out-of-plane libration, and the effect of in-plane libration on the trajectories of the capture net was demonstrated by simulation results. With an effort to damp the in-plane libration, the control scheme based on tether tension was investigated, then an integrated control scheme was proposed by introducing thrusters into the system, and the nonlinear close-loop dynamics was linearised by feedforward strategy. Simulation results show that the feedforward controller is effective for in-plane libration damping and enables the capture net to track an expected trajectory.
