This paper mainly introduces an optimized matching pursuit algorithm for the reconstruction of seismic reflection events. It adopts intelligent optimization algorithms of genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm algorithm (PSO) to matching pursuit algorithm for improving the processing effect and efficiency. Through experiments on synthetic seismic records and field seismic data, it demonstrates that both GA-MP and PSO-MP can reconstruct the reflection events effectively and efficiency, while PSO-MP performs better especially in waveform reconstruction. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial neural networks (ANN) have been shown to be flexible and effective function estimators for the identification of nonlinear state-space models. However, if the resulting models are used directly for nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC), the resulting nonlinear optimization problem is often overly complex due to the size of the network, requires the use of high-order observers to track the states of the ANN model, and the overall control scheme does not exploit the available autograd tools for these models. In this paper, we propose an efficient approach to auto-convert ANN statespace models to linear parameter-varying (LPV) form and solve predictive control problems by successive solutions of linear model predictive problems, corresponding to quadratic programs (QPs). Furthermore, we show how existing deep-learning methods, such as SUBNET that uses a state encoder, enable efficient implementation of MPCs on identified ANN models. Performance of the proposed approach is demonstrated by a simulation study on an unbalanced disc system.

This study examines the tracking performance of state and output feedback-based repetitive controllers (RCs) for rotational control systems. First, a state feedback RC is designed in the time domain using a state-space model, which requires full state information for implementation. The state feedback RC is modeled as a 2D hybrid system, where the control and learning actions can be designed independently using Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) solutions. This approach is evaluated on a rotational control system expressed as a strictly proper linear system with a relative degree of 1. Second, for comparison, an output feedback RC, also known as a general RC, is designed for the same system. Numerical experiment results show that while the state feedback RC achieves lower peak and root-means-quare errors, it exhibits slower transient response compared to the output feedback RC.

Optimal value of parameter α for iPID control systems

This paper is concerned with the problem of determining the intelligent PID (iPID) controller's 4 parameters, that is, α & KP, KI, KD. The iPID was recently proposed by Fliss and Join, and many successful cases of using it have been reported. Although these parameters, especially α, is known to have a significant effect on control performance, few studies have been done on an optimal value or setup methods for αin relation to the characteristics of the plants. First, using the Anischronic model, the control performances according to the increase and decrease of α are assessed and based on these results, the optimal values of iPID's four parameters are given based on the seven plants of various formats. The parameter optimization technique is adopted to determine parameters for iPID controller. Second, check the usefulness of the optimal values proposed with various types of plants. The work is a development of the interval criterion for determining the moment when the steady-state value of the transition signal occurs. These criteria are used in technologies related to testing complex objects under conditions of parametric uncertainty of its model. The transient signal is analyzed in on-line mode. Therefore, the accuracy of the decision about the time of the end of the tests determines the cost of conducting them. Such tests are characterized by significant dynamic errors that significantly exceed the allowed level. The reasons for this are the parametric uncertainty in the mathematical model of the object and the inability of the deterministic interval criterion to correctly issue a solution under these conditions. It was previously determined that the interval criterion is characterized by the presence of an asymptotic critical value of the criterion. Exceeding the object's real time constant over the critical value gives a false positive result. This situation is characterized by the fact that the desired moment is falsely determined significantly earlier than the optimal solution. You can avoid this situation if you set the criteria to the maximum constant of the object's time. However, this choice leads to significant time losses when analyzing the transition signal. The solution of the problem of guaranteed provision of a given level of dynamic error over the entire range of values of the object model parameter is possible using a robust algorithm. The basis for constructing a robust criterion is to control the duration of the observation interval. For this purpose, the current information about the analyzed signal is used. There are three ways to apply the current information. The first approach is based on the use of an extrapolated estimate of the established value. In the development of academic CubeSat-based space missions, it is common to skip or rush many practices of the Systems engineering Process due to time and cost constraints, which may lead to issues later on in the mission and failures. Mission concept analyses are often in these practices, including the analysis of the in-orbit behavior of the satellite with respects to power consumption and data generation. With the purpose of supporting these analyses, this article introduces a workflow based on a Cyber-Physical abstraction of CubeSat mission operation scenarios, which uses architectural models based on SysML Class Diagrams and automatic model transformation to support the simulation of these operational scenarios in an open source Model-Based System engineering (MBSE) tool. These simulations can be used in mission concept analyses in Phase-0 studies to verify initial operations requirements and drive further design implementations. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper introduces a Wiener filtering method based on short time spectrum estimation which is implemented in frequency domain and applied to process seismic signals of high frequency. Since many seismic signal filtering methods could preserve the valid information of middle and low frequency well but could not preserve the valid information of high frequency well, so it needs to adopt a method which could preserve both low and high frequency of seismic signal. The Wiener filtering is the optimal filtering in the sense of minimum mean square error, and the way of frequency domain implementation is simpler and more effective than time domain implementation. So, it adopts Wiener filtering of frequency domain in this paper to obtain better results in seismic signal processing than conventional filtering method of time domain such as Kalman filtering, especially for high frequency seismic signals. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper describes the new method of pulse sequence stabilization which can be applied to different tasks of automatics and energetics. The originality of the method comes to using state estimators of pulses on the base of the probabilistic relay. The pulse sequence is observed on the complex background including multiplicative and low frequency interferences and additive white noise. The results of simulation modeling with rectangular and bell's shaped pulses have shown that the suggested method provides sure restoration both magnitude and form of pulses with reasonable relative errors for different noise and interference combinations. © 2019 IEEE.
