Internet has evolved from a network of connecting people to a network of connecting things, leading to a more complex and sophisticated network of Industrial Things, known as Industrial IoT (IIoT) today. This evolution has revolutionized the traditional Industrial system into real-time smarter systems that enhanced overall efficiency and productivity. Despite its benefits, the interconnected nature of IIoT, expanded the attack surface, exposing the systems to new crucial and complex cybersecurity threats. Several real time attacks on various industries as mentioned in this paper and the increasing cybersecurity cost over the years, clearly states the need of robust security solutions. To deeply understand the cybersecurity aspect, we provided a comprehensive study of attacks and vulnerabilities in this paper. In this paper, we did a indept. study of various IIoT related severe attacks and aspects related to these attacks, like vulnerabilities, impacts, potential solutions etc. We also provided future research directions to help the research community, to work upon and develop more robust and efficient cybersecurity solutions. © 2025 IEEE.

The management of radioactive sources is a critical process that ensures the safe and responsible handling of radioactive materials throughout their lifecycle. These sources require careful management from production to disposal, such as real-time tracking and radiation monitoring to follow everyone's safety rules and protect people and the environment. However, these sources present significant global challenges, especially regarding safety, security, and transparency. Current systems face limitations such as fragmented oversight, lack of accountability, and risks of unauthorized access. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a blockchain-based radioactive source lifecycle management system to manage the lifecycle of radioactive sources. Blockchain's decentralized and tamper-proof ledger secures data throughout the entire lifecycle of radioactive materials. By using smart contracts and access controls, the system ensures that only authorized parties can monitor and verify transactions in real-time, which reduces human error and prevents unauthorized changes to the data. Users can perform key operations such as retrieving source details, transferring ownership, updating source locations, and adding observers to our proposed system. Our experiment in designing and testing a blockchain application has proven the potential for a secure and transparent system that enhances global cooperation in managing radioactive sources. Overall, the proposed system not only addresses current challenges in radioactive source management but also enhances the tracking and monitoring of radioactive materials. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper, we present new techniques for increasing the diversity of red-teaming prompts generated by automated machine learning-based methods, thereby enabling the discovery of more vulnerabilities in large language models. Using reinforcement learning to train models to output effective prompts for this task results in the models converging deterministically to a single output. Our first technique, which we term Defender, acts by blocking the reward signal for prompts that have already been discovered, thus making what was a stationary problem into a non-stationary problem that compels the reward maximizing algorithm to continually seek new prompts. Our second technique, Teamplay, trains two prompt generation models in tandem and adds the KL divergence between them to the reward in order to make them search in disparate regions of the space of prompts. Our techniques are shown experimentally to increase the effectiveness and diversity of prompts generated by existing reinforcement learning baselines. © 2025 IEEE.

Internet growth has led to widespread adoption and transmission of the IoT in numerous areas. From personal networks to industrial applications, healthcare to transportation, IoT is everywhere. Due to their widespread usage, attackers deploy sophisticated methods and software to infiltrate IoT networks. IoT devices' low processing power and resources can threaten security and privacy. This vulnerability has inspired attackers to undertake a variety of attacks against IoT networks. Wormhole attacks (WHA) are routing attacks which can interrupt IoT network packet routing and flow. To address the security issues related to IoT devices, a novel hybrid deep Learning (DL) method is proposed to classify potential security risks in IoT circumstances. The proposed module combines the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory with attention mechanism (ABS-BiLSTM) and AlexNet CNN to achieve higher detection accuracy. The security service provided by the proposed monitoring solution ensures compatibility among various IoT network communication protocols. The results clearly show that the effectiveness and excellence of the schemes in terms of network performance, accuracy, and detection speed enhancement. © 2025 IEEE.

This study introduces a system designed to identify pests in crops and classify them as either beneficial or harmful. The project begins by providing a comprehensive overview of various pest identification methods, analyzing their strengths and limitations. To address the problem, a categorization approach is proposed that incorporates convolutional neural networks (CNN) to build the pest identification and classification model. The model was trained using a dataset containing images of different pest species. Extensive testing was conducted on a large dataset, and the system's performance was validated against multiple traditional classification models. The proposed framework achieved a classification accuracy of 90%, outperforming conventional methods. This research highlights agriculture's vital role in the economy and underscores the potential of advanced technologies in supporting sustainable farming practices. © 2025 IEEE.

Rapid urban growth and industrial expansion in Indian cities have led to a 30% increase in vehicles over the past 5–10 years, causing a rise in air pollution and health risks. Existing methods to predict air quality face challenges like limited data, inaccurate models, slow predictions, and changing environmental conditions. This review explores how machine learning, including deep learning and hybrid models, can improve pollution forecasting. It also highlights issues such as unreliable sensors, high computing costs, and difficulty in understanding model results. Finally, the study suggests future directions for better air quality management using AI-driven predictions and policy improvements.

All over the world, the population of elderly people is increasing a lot. There needs to be special attention to the welfare of the elderly person to make them confident in their independent quality of living. In recent years, researchers have shown much interest in smart home automation for people who live alone without any human assistance. However, the purchase of medical drugs, diapers, etc., outside the house has to be fulfilled by their family members or caretakers. In most cases, it is not feasible, as the family members may stay long away from the elders. Purchasing online is easy;however, analyzing the best product requires knowledge in each e-commerce application for better quality at a low cost. This paper proposes an integrated and intelligent e-commerce framework to avoid the drawback of purchasing items online in a single window using the NLP technique. The proposed framework provides offers, discounts, star ratings, and product reviews by analyzing other customers' review data and purchase patterns. It provides interactive data analysis at a single window for the ease of elderly persons. The performance of the proposed framework was evaluated by 120 elderly persons using a simple questionnaire with a statistical analysis of a sample purchase. © 2025 IEEE.

Research in Explainable AI (XAI) has shown that explanations can improve users' understanding of AI models, improve user performance and potentially reduce overreliance on AI predictions. However, this is mostly evaluated by static rather than dynamic measures, and the role of XAI on learning over trials is rarely studied. In this study, we use a context-free sequence prediction task, in which 458 participants predict the next symbol in a fixed sequence (with some noise) over 80 trials. We compare performance with AI and XAI advice against no AI support, and subsequently we test for learning by taking away the AI support after 40 trials (i.e., a reversal study design). Our results show that users learn faster with XAI than with AI without explanations or no AI and are better able to recover in performance from the removal of AI. However, the benefits of XAI on learning are much smaller for more difficult tasks. This work demonstrates the benefits of repeated measures user studies and multilevel modeling to better understand learning processes in XAI. It also shows the potential of AI explanations to help users to learn and poses XAI design suggestions to support learning in human-AI collaboration. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing health-care, particularly in the field of anesthesiology. This paper evaluates the application of AI-enhanced models in optimizing anesthesia dosing to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. By integrating machine learning (ML) techniques, we analyze structured and unstructured patient data to predict anesthesia needs, automate drug delivery, and monitor vital signs in real time. The study examines several ML models, such as Support Vector Machines, Decision Trees, and Gradient Boosting, assessing their accuracy in predicting anesthetic requirements. The results show that AI can effectively reduce human error, enhance decision-making, and improve patient safety during perioperative care. Classification of Sarcoma Based on Genomic data Using Machine Learning Models

The proposed work provides a new machine-learnt classification approach for the various types of soft tissue sarcoma based on genomics data which addresses a considerable gap in sarcoma diagnostics. The previous studies have investigated various aspects of sarcoma but this study is unique in that it targets the predicting sarcoma variant types using genetic information, which has not been done before. Random Forest was used as the meta-estimator and a stacking ensemble model comprising of Random Forest, Extreme Gradient Boosting and LightGBM were used for this study. The model which was trained and validated on a complete dataset of 206 adult soft tissue sarcoma samples containing genomic alterations, transcriptomic, epigenomic and proteomic data achieved an accuracy of 89.44% at a precision level as high as 91%. Stratified k-fold cross validation is employed to ensure that class imbalance is not a hindrance to performance. This innovative approach outmatches single classifiers and traditional single model methods at great length hence making it possible and effective to use machine learning on genomic data for predicting sarcoma variants. Thus, the findings from this research could change cancer diagnosis forever; they promise more accurate classification as well as personalized treatment modalities while also providing a framework for analogous applications in other rare complex cancers.
