Application of blockchain in financial services has opened new ways of efficiency in transaction processing, assets management and security. The application of parallel, distributed, and grid computing with blockchain in improving the functionality of financial services like real time financial transactions, high frequency trading, portfolio and risk analysis is examined in this paper. It has been ascertained that namely parallel and distributed computing together with blockchain are the most suitable for facing increasing needs in data in the sphere of financial services. It also investigates the use of grid computing frameworks and their effects on the correspondingly balanced flows of medium amongst multiple systems. Various issues such as security, privacy violations, and adherence to the law are also reviewed, and existing prospects for developing through smart contracts and consensus mechanisms using blockchain. Exploring how some of the most successful pilot use-cases of blockchain are applicable for future growth in the financial services industry offers insights into how blockchain will soon enter mainstream as a disruptive technology in the broader global financial sector. © 2024 IEEE.

Considering the key role of the internet in daily life, accessibility becomes crucial, especially for visually impaired individuals who heavily rely on it for accessing information. However, a significant portion of text materials on the internet remains inaccessible to blind users, limiting their opportunities for development and inclusion in various communities worldwide. Leveraging audio virtual environments, predominantly through screen reader technology, offers a notable advantage for blind individuals in accessing online applications like emails. This study presents a new design aimed at facilitating the email retrieval for blind users with the utilization of speech-to-text and text-to-speech technologies. This approach is particularly suitable for individuals with average human capabilities and a limited level of education, as it relies solely on interactive voice response for input, ensuring effective functionality for the proposed system.

Website phishing, a notable cybercrime, involves deceiving individuals by impersonating legitimate websites. URL spoofing, a common technique in website phishing, involves creating website names. The primary objective of this paper is to accurately differentiate between legitimate and phishing sites using relevant URL attributes and different binary classification machine learning algorithms. This study compares simple, bagging, and boosting algorithms across performance analysis metrics. The best-performing models are selected for an ensemble approach. Additionally, various hyperparameter tuning techniques are assessed for the Random Forest Classifier, and Explainable AI methods like LIME and SHAP are used to interpret findings. The experiment yields optimal parameters, achieving 89. % accuracy with an ensemble model with K-Nearest Neighbors, Decision Tree, XG Boost, and Cat Boost. These findings highlight the significance of ensemble models and hyperparameter tuning in machine learning.

In the event of a disaster, social media is often used to draw attention to affected areas and distressed people. The massive population and diversity in Indian languages warrant a novel real-time, big-data solution that can increase situational awareness, reduce special forces’ response time, and expedite decision-making. The proposed solution, VIKAS, streams text, images, videos, and audio from posts on microblogging platforms using keywords. It then uses the Google Translate and Transliteration APIs to handle multilingual and macaronic hybrid text, including Hinglish. An Apache Kafka event pipeline processes the sheer volume of posts asynchronously. Duplicate, uninformative, or bot-posted data (checked using the Botometer machine learning algorithm) is discarded. Scraped data is also verified through Google’s FactCheck Explorer API. Audio and video clips are processed leveraging speech-to-text methods. The solution incorporates a BERT pre-trained model and word embeddings for natural language processing tasks, including sentiment analysis and classification of textual data. Image classification and object identification are implemented using a ResNet deep learning model. This multimodal approach pinpoints locations using nearby landmarks, severity, and type of support needed, ranging from humanitarian aid and rescue relief to infrastructure damage. Easy-to-interpret visualizations on an accessible dashboard consolidate many details that can streamline resource distribution and personnel deployment. This paper explores the novel application of Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) in designing a more efficient, scalable, and distributed surveillance architecture, which addresses concerns such as data storage limitations, latency, event detection accuracy, and significant energy consumption in cloud data centers. The proposed architecture employs edge and cloud computing to optimize video data processing and energy usage. The study further investigates the energy consumption patterns of such a system in detail. The implementation leverages machine learning models to identify optimal policies based on system interactions. The proposed solution is tested over an extensive period, resulting in a system capable of reducing latency, enhancing event detection accuracy, and minimizing energy consumption. © 2023 IEEE.

Contrails, short for condensation trails, are line-shaped ice clouds produced by aircraft engine exhaust when they fly through cold and humid air. They generate a greenhouse effect by absorbing or directing back to Earth approximately 33% of emitted outgoing longwave radiation[1]. They account for over half of the climate change resulting from aviation activities. Avoiding contrails and adjusting flight routes could be an inexpensive and effective way to reduce their impact. An accurate, automated, and reliable detection algorithm is required to develop and evaluate contrail avoidance strategies. Advancement in contrail detection has been severely limited due to several factors, primarily due to a lack of quality-labeled data. Recently, [2] proposed a large human-labeled Landsat-8 contrails dataset. Each contrail is carefully labeled with various inputs in various scenes of Landsat-8 satellite imagery. In this work, we benchmark several popular segmentation models with combinations of different loss functions and encoder backbones. This work is the first to apply state-of-the-art segmentation techniques to detect contrails in low-orbit satellite imagery. The smart helmet's characteristics are meant to identify and report whether or not a wearer has consumed alcohol while donning a helmet. Road accidents are increasing as a result of riders drinking alcohol and not wearing helmets. In the modern world, thousands of people lose their lives in auto accidents each year. Wearing a smart helmet can typically lower the number of accidents. The primary objective of this research study is to create a wearable helmet that can both detect alcohol and prevent accidents without the need for a helmet. Whether the user is wearing a helmet is determined by the limit switch. The rider's breath is tested by the Gas sensor to determine whether alcohol is present. If the rider has ingested alcohol or is not wearing a helmet, the bike will not start. Only when a helmet is on and there are no indications of intoxication can the bike be started. System construction is done by sensor actions.

Mucormycosis, also known as black fungus, is a rare infection caused by mould that can affect the lungs, brain, skin, and sinuses. People with weakened immune systems due to underlying health conditions (e.g., organ transplant, uncontrolled diabetes, cancer, neutropenia, AIDS, and COVID-19) or drug use are more likely to contract the infection. Recent reports have indicated that a small number of COVID-19 survivors with co-morbidities are particularly vulnerable to black fungus. Therefore, recovered COVID-19 patients should seek medical attention immediately if they experience any mucormycosis symptoms. Patients with COVID-19 have numerous concerns regarding this life-threatening infection, particularly those with immunocompromised states such as solid organ transplant (SOT) and hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) or tumors, who are more likely to be infected. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent patient mortality. In this paper, we present the Multi-Class Black Fungus (MCBF) dataset, which consists of three compressed folders containing images. The first folder includes 66 images of eye black fungus after data preprocessing, while the second folder contains 63 images of mouth black fungus after data preprocessing. The third contains 62 images of the mouth after applying data preprocessing, and the last one contains 79 images of black skin fungus after applying data preprocessing. The MCBF dataset contains images that aid in training and validation when using deep learning algorithms to recognise and classify black fungus diseases, then we apply a resnet(50) pretrained model by using MCBF accuracy reaches 96.12%. © 2024 IEEE.

The demand for efficient and scalable management of storage resources is growing enormously with the rapid growth in data-intensive applications within the cloud environment. Optimized PSRANF is the state-of-the-art approach towards dynamic storage resource allocation, based on the forecast of future demands in storage. PSRANF utilizes state-of-the-art neural forecasting with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks and Transformer designs to analyze the pattern of historical storage usage for highly accurate future need predictions. By proactively adjusting storage capacity to these predictions, PSRANF strikes an optimal balance between performance and cost by reserving just-in-time resources. It ensures that there is no risk of over-provisioning, which would be too costly. In the same breath, the risk of under-provisioning, which leads to performance bottlenecks, is avoided. What is more, the system will apply prioritization, placing the data of higher priority or frequently accessed data into faster storage tiers of a higher class of performance and less important classes of data into cost-effective storage. The adaptive feedback loop continuously refines the forecasting model, which, over time, improves accuracy and allows the system to handle changes in workload patterns. PSRANF combines neural forecasting with resource allocation in such a way that is cost-effective;thus, it is very well placed for cloud environments where the demand for storage is dynamic in nature and requires intelligent data-driven approaches. The AWS implementation of PSRANF has turned out to be quite a helpful tool in optimizing the storage resource allocation process. While it is able to predict 98.5% of the storage needs correctly by achieving a cost saving of up to 18.7%, managing data from 97.8% to 99.2%, and resources from 95.4%, it's robust for improvements in cloud storage management and operational efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

Deep Learning (DL) represents a subset that has revolutionized traditional machine learning. Unlike earlier methods relying on handcrafted feature extraction, DL automates both feature extraction and classification. This innovation has significantly advanced applications in various medical domains, including the diagnosis of epileptic seizures. This research provides a comparative overview of studies concentrating on automated epileptic seizure detection using leading convolutional neural networks (CNN) architectures. It explores diverse architectures proposed for the automatic diagnosis of epileptic seizures through MRI, encompassing an analysis of rehabilitation systems utilizing DL. The proposed work investigates the application of four primitive CNN architectures on the identification of onset of seizure. The proposed architectures are validated through benchmark MRI samples. Experimental evaluation is made on samples of pregnant females. Overall rate of accuracy stands at 85%, 80%, 90%, and 95% respectively.
