This paper provides a new secured, invisible approach to watermark text documents. For integrity verification of text documents, the watermark has to depend on a secret key and on the original document. It is important that the dependence on the key should be sensitive. In this paper, a novel watermarking technique is proposed for content authentication and integrity of text documents. The proposed method makes use of the concept of eigen values by constructing a Line-Document matrix for the whole text document to be watermarked. These eigen values are used to form a secret key for generating the watermark. Embedding is done in the bit plane of the document image which will be imperceptible. Comparison of embedded and extracted secret keys detects any small alterations done to the document. This technique is fragile and hence tamper detection is high.

The optimization of queries is critical in database management systems and the complexity involved in finding optimal solutions has led to the development of heuristic approaches. Answering data mining query involves a random search over large databases. Due to the enormity of the data set involved, model simplification is necessary for quick answering of data mining queries. In this paper, we propose a hybrid model using rough sets and genetic algorithms for fast and efficient query answering. Rough sets are used to classify and summarize the datasets, whereas genetic algorithms are used for answering association related queries and feedback for adaptive classification. Here, we consider three types of queries, i.e., select, aggregate and classification based data mining queries. Summary tables that are built using rough sets and analytical model of attributes are used to speed up select queries. Mining associations, building concept hierarchies and reinforcement of reducts are achieved through genetic algorithms. The experiments are conducted on three real-life data sets, which include KDD 99 Cup data, Forest Cover-type data and Iris data. The performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed for both execution time and classification accuracy and the results obtained are good

Computation intensive DSP applications usually require parallel/pipelined processors in order to meet specific timing requirements. data hazards are a major obstacle against the high performance of pipelined systems. This paper presents a novel efficient loop scheduling algorithm that reduces data hazards for such DSP applications. This algorithm has been embedded in a tool, called SHARP, which schedules a pipelined data flow graph to multiple pipelined units while hiding the underlying data hazards and minimizing the execution time. This paper reports significant improvement for some well-known benchmarks showing the efficiency of the scheduling algorithm and the flexibility of the simulation tool.
