A quick forecast of the region's structural damage following an earthquake is crucial for community relief and rescue efforts. Following an earthquake, getting detailed information about buildings in seismic disaster zones is frequently impossible. The information available is essential to estimate seismic damage to urban structures accurately. To address the aforementioned issues, we propose a novel method for quickly assessing building damage through extensive use of field research and data collected from earth observation. A model is created and trained to predict building damage from an earthquake. The algorithm used to indicate the building damage from the quake is Elastic net regression. The elastic net is a regularized regression method used to predict building damage from an earthquake. The proposed Elastic net regression is validated with standard accuracy and effectiveness compared with the Random forest and decision tree methods. The proposed model's outcomes show that elastic net regression is the most effective predictive model for predicting building damage. © 2023 IEEE.

Distributed systems and cloud computing are essential in IT (ICT). Scholars have not contemplated merging distributed systems and cloud computing to measure execution time in milliseconds and capacity in gigabytes. Distributed Systems and Cloud Computing Execute Time and Capacity Methodology This title covered two networking types. Multi-scenario distributed networking begins. A TCP socket links a client-server application (Transmission Control Protocol). This example also networks between computers. In another example, Remote Method Invocation Technology (RMI) links subservers to the main server to handle all client inquiries. Second-generation networking involves distributed systems and cloud computing. Google's API downloaded files to my machine and sent them to the main server. Other examples include using numerous computers or a client server software on the same machine. Multi-client and server threads helped the system find correct results. Pool threads were used elsewhere. This thesis examines execution time and file capacity. The system showed how cloud computing affects distributed systems in two ways to apply many scenarios and draw conclusions (execution time and capacity). This project utilizes TCP sockets, RMI, and API. Threads and a hash table software structure were used to load data into the system between the client and the server. © 2022 IEEE.

There are some models of cars that remain popular with the consumers, even if pre-used. However, they sell at a wide variety of prices. We built a dataset of past prices for two popular Toyota SUVs, Harrier and RAV4 using the final selling price obtained from a large Japanese auction house, USS. We then tried to predict a useful range of prices for each of these two models of pre-used Toyota SUVs, based on the parameters of that particular car like how many kilometers has it already travelled, whether the powertrain is hybrid or runs on gasoline only, which year was it originally built in, 2019 or in 2020 or later, etc. We also tried to find out whether options like having Sunroof/moonroof had any effect on the final bid of auction prices. Feature Selection and Feature Transformation were done using the Classification Learner App of the MATLAB Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox version R2020b. Our analysis shows that we can establish a useful range of prices. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we present a new method of cell classification using geometrical features of shape analysis. Firstly, the contour of cell is detected and approximated by one polygon. Secondly, by using the bounded polygon, the shape of cell is normalized. Then, the cell is classified into three kinds of cells: bull sperm cell (B-SC), human fibroblast cell (H-FC), and human mesenchymal stem cell (H-MSC) by using the structure of bounded polygon. Our approach overcomes the difficulty caused by the similarity between three kinds of cells when their shapes are unpredictably deformed in microscope image. We have applied our proposed method into data collected by one microscope with 40x eyepiece lens. © 2013 IFMBE.

In recent years, the emergence of the Internet and E-commerce has steered significant growth in digital transactions. Businesses today need mobile wallets, credit and debit cards, and e-cash to digitize payments. Digital payment systems are in transition and promise amazing advancements, but they also pose many risks and as the number of online transactions is increasing tremendously, we need a security system that follows all security norms. In this paper, we study digital transaction systems and evaluate various components of E-commerce plat-forms to address the security of these services. We evaluate the attributes that affect the security of digital payment processes and identify several barriers that hinder their performance to propose a simplified payment mechanism for micro-payments that eliminates the double payment problem. © 2023 IEEE.

This research explores the use of Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance learning experiences for visually impaired students. By utilizing an Android application, the system captures images of classroom boards and processes them using the EasyOCR library for text extraction. The extracted text is then rendered in 3D using Unity, allowing visually impaired students to interact with the content more effectively. The AR experience enables students to zoom in on the text, adjust font sizes, and explore the information at their own pace. This innovative approach integrates the power of AR to overcome the challenges faced by visually impaired students in traditional classroom settings, promoting inclusivity and enhancing their learning experience. © 2024 IEEE.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of cybersecurity, the classification of malware has become increasingly critical due to the exponential growth in the volume of malware, which poses significant security threats to financial institutions, businesses, and individuals. Traditional signature-based detection methods have struggled to keep up with the growing variety and complexity of new threats, making it necessary to use more advanced techniques. Among these, deep learning has emerged as a promising approach for malware detection, particularly through the classification of malware images by transforming binary files into grayscale representations. While previous research has predominantly utilized deep learning architectures for this task. However, in this research work, we developed a model with Mobilenet to enhance classification accuracy. The results of this research demonstrate the revolutionary potential of deep learning-based methods for malware family classification. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper describes our approach to submissions made at Shared Task 2 at BLP Workshop - Sentiment Analysis of Bangla Social Media Posts(Hasan et al., 2023a;Islam et al., 2021;Hasan et al., 2023b). Sentiment Analysis is an action research area in the digital age. With the rapid and constant growth of online social media sites and services and the increasing amount of textual data, the application of automatic Sentiment Analysis is on the rise. However, most of the research in this domain is based on the English language. Despite being the world’s sixth most widely spoken language, little work has been done in Bangla. This task aims to promote work on Bangla Sentiment Analysis while identifying the polarity of social media content by determining whether the sentiment expressed in the text is Positive, Negative, or Neutral. Our approach consists of experimenting and finetuning various multilingual and pre-trained BERT-based models on our downstream tasks and using a Majority Voting and Weighted ensemble model that outperforms individual baseline model scores. Our system scored 0.711 for the multiclass classification task and scored 10th place among the participants on the leaderboard for the shared task. The internet, social media, and other cutting-edge technologies are all contributing to the exponential growth of digital information. This makes interpreting and applying this enormous amount of data both possible and challenging. Our research proposes a smart system that can convert unprocessed text into a knowledge graph in order to address this. This system makes use of the graph database Neo4j. Although there are currently available tools for linking entities and models to extract relationships, such as Spacy, NLTK, and Flair, their combined use is inefficient. Our suggested method seeks to efficiently blend entity linkage and relation extraction, allowing us to convert raw data into a knowledge graph. There are many real-world uses for this strategy, particularly in data analysis and decision-making. © 2024 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.

The OHLCV (Open, High, Low, Close, Volume) data used in this study is used to forecast time series and anticipate stock price movement. We investigate a wide variety of models, including traditional statistical approaches and cutting-edge deep learning strategies combined with sentiment analysis, feature extraction, and hyperparameter tweaking. Instead of focusing on absolute stock prices, our main goal is to predict swings in stock prices, as this has been shown to produce more accurate outcomes. We start our research by obtaining historical Amazon stock data via the Yahoo API, and then we go on a thorough analytical journey. We generate features on the OHLCV data first, and then we design and test Fourier and Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) models. We then switch to more sophisticated deep learning methods, using the pre-processed data to apply Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models. Interestingly, we add sentiment analysis to the LSTM study, which expands its scope and lets us consider market sentiment as a possible influencing factor. To guarantee the stability of our models, we use a careful train-test split technique and organize the data in a time series manner. The field of financial forecasting and trading methods will ultimately benefit from the insightful information our study's findings provide on the efficacy of different modeling techniques and their capacity to forecast stock price movements. © 2023 ACM.
