Special vehicles often need to keep the body level quickly and accurately when carrying out follow-up control or missile launch. In order to enhance the mobility of the special vehicle during the leveling process, this paper takes the special vehicle as the research object and designs a set of automatic leveling control system. On the basis of hydraulic drive, the automatic leveling system is designed with a compact mobile vehicle controller as the core. The information is transmitted between the modules of the system through the CAN bus, combined with the existing leveling strategy, a leveling strategy combining the angle error control leveling method and the pursuit of the highest support point leveling method is adopted. The test results show that the leveling system has the characteristics of short leveling time, strong stability and high reliability, the leveling accuracy reaches 3prime, and the leveling time is within 30s. © 2022 IEEE.

The growing number of devices using the wireless spectrum makes it important to find ways to minimize interference and optimize the use of the spectrum. Deep learning models, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs), have been widely utilized to identify, classify, or mitigate interference due to their ability to learn from the data directly. However, there have been limited research on the complexity of such deep learning models. The major focus of deep learning-based wireless classification literature has been on improving classification accuracy, often at the expense of model complexity. This may not be practical for many wireless devices, such as, internet of things (IoT) devices, which usually have very limited computational resources and cannot handle very complex models. Thus, it becomes important to account for model complexity when designing deep learning based models for interference classification. To address this, we conduct an analysis of CNN based wireless classification that explores the trade-off amongst dataset size, CNN model complexity, and classification accuracy under various levels of classification difficulty: namely, interference classification, heterogeneous transmitter classification, and homogeneous transmitter classification. Our study, based on three wireless datasets, shows that a simpler CNN model with fewer parameters can perform just as well as a more complex model, providing important insights into the use of CNNs in computationally constrained applications. © 2023 IEEE.

The exponential growth of everlasting power demand, the management of power grid is easy with the increased usage of EHV and UHV Transmission systems. The performance of Power Transmission and distribution can be improved with the usage of FACTS Devices. The GTO Thyristor Turn off Series Capacitor (GCSC) is a powerful device among all FACTS Devices to control power flow and stability improvement. This article realized the fact of effectiveness of the GCSC in improving the power flow and stability of EHV, UHV and distribution systems. The EHV, UHV Transmission systems as well as distribution systems have been simulated with operating voltages of 1500KV, 1200KV, 800KV, 400KV, 220KV, 132KV and 11KV. All these systems have been simulated without and with GCSC and results have been presented in this article. The simulation results prove the power transfer and stability have been improved substantially with the open loop as well as closed loop controls of GCSC. © 2022 IEEE.

Edge computing is a new architectural model that aims to offer computing, storage, and networking resources to support Internet of Things. Its primary strategy involves transferring computational tasks to the edge of network, which is closer to end-users. This paradigm facilitates offloading of computation, resulting in reduced latency and improved system performance. However, nodes located at the network edge have restricted energy and resources. As a result, running tasks entirely at the edge leads to higher energy consumption. This work proposes a novel three-tier offloading framework comprising of multiple mobile vehicles (MVs), a base station (BS), and a cloud data center (CDC). It jointly optimizes offloading rates of tasks, CPU computation rates of MVs, BS, and CDC, and the allocation of wireless bandwidth resources at MVs during partial computation offloading of tasks. It also considers limits of maximum computational resources and maximum delay of task execution. To further reduce the total system energy consumption, this work actively caches execution codes of tasks in MEC servers to reduce data transmission energy of MVs, which minimizes the total system energy consumption. This work develops a mixed integer nonlinear program and designs a mixed meta-heuristic algorithm with a multi-strategy adaptive particle swarm optimizer. Simulation results demonstrate that it outperforms various state-of-the-art algorithms by achieving lower energy consumption in fewer iterations. © 2023 IEEE.

Worldwide electrical generation is mostly dependent on fossil fuels. The world is now adopting renewable energy options due to the different side effects of fossil fuels on nature. The solar-based energy-generating system is currently the best option for renewable energy. Bangladesh is also adopting solar-based projects as the irradiance and temperature are compatible with energy generation. This study shows the current condition of solar-based energy generation worldwide along with the current condition of energy generation in Bangladesh. The study proposed the modeling and simulation of a 360 kW photovoltaic grid-connected system with an MPPT control technique for the boost converter using MATLAB and Simulink. A preferable efficiency of the boost converter was obtained during simulation using the perturb and observe MPPT control technique. The proposed system can be used for small-scale local energy supply in rural areas of Bangladesh. © 2022 IEEE.

The goal of this work is to create and compare the AC low voltage (LVAC) topology using various algorithms. In the first phase, the shortest path (SP) algorithm is used to find the minimizing conductor usage. Repeated ABC phase sequence (RPS ABC) is the based case while GA, and WCA are used in the second stage to figure out load balancing in a three-phase LVAC topology. The distribution network topologies are automatically displayed for different phase connections of the distribution network. To evaluate the proposed strategies, the 129-buses distribution test network in a Cambodian rural community was chosen as a case study. Then, after a comparison of all these methodologies, it is possible to infer that the WCA leads to the best solutions. © 2022 IEEE.

Nowadays, smart mobile devices (SMDs) support various computation-intensive and delay-sensitive applications, e.g., online games, and figure compression. However, SMDs have limited computing resources and battery energy and cannot execute all tasks of the above applications in a real-time manner. Cloud computing provides enormous computing resources and energy that can easily execute tasks offloaded from SMDs. However, could data centers (CDCs) are often located in remote sites, which leads to long transmission time. Small base stations (SBSs) offer high-bandwidth and low-latency services for SMDs, which solves the problem of cloud computing. However, it becomes a challenge to achieve the lowest cost in such a heterogeneous architecture including multiple SMDs, SBSs, and the CDC while meeting delay requirements of tasks. This work proposes a cost-minimized computation offloading strategy to minimize the total cost of the system. A constrained optimization problem is first formulated based on the hybrid architecture. Afterward, a two-stage optimization algorithm called a Lévy flights and Simulated Annealing-based Grey wolf optimizer (LSAG) is developed to optimize the total cost of the system. In the first stage, the optimal edge selection policy is determined given multiple available SBSs. In the second stage, task offloading and resource allocation among SMDs, SBSs, and the cloud are determined. Experiments with real-life tasks prove that LSAG significantly achieves lower cost with faster convergence speed than state-of-the-art peers. © 2023 IEEE.

Due to the fast conveying speed of water or other liquids, when the valve is suddenly opened or closed, it is easy to present water hammer effect. The existence of water hammer problem can easily lead to accidents such as pipeline bursting or pipeline collapse, which not only affects the safety of the transportation process, but also interferes with normal production causing economic losses. This paper will analyze the principle of water hammer effect and determine the wave speed of water hammer by solving the basic differential equation of water hammer and combining the calculation results. Use SOLIDWORKS software to establish models of water pipelines and valves, and use FLUENT software to simulate and simulate the water pipelines and valves. Through two observation points, the changes in the pressure and fluid flow rate in the water pipeline are observed to analyze the effect of water hammer on the water pipeline. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper formulates a positive output double gain buck-boost converter with a low input current ripple. Compared with the conventional buck-boost and quadratic buck-boost configuration, this converter's voltage conversion ratio is higher with low voltage stress on the intermediate semiconductor devices, diodes and capacitors. Additionally, it exhibits low current stress on the intermediate inductors and power switching devices. The detailed current and voltage relations of active and passive elements are derived using time-domain analysis. The state-space matrices are formulated through the circuit analysis and based on the estimated transfer function of the converter configuration, the closed-loop digital controller is designed. The theoretical analysis is validated through the key steady-state and closed-loop dynamic results obtained from the PSIM simulation. © 2022 IEEE.

In the modern trends of communications, there is a demand for antennas that are straightforward yet effective and reasonably priced. Microstrip antennas have become popular because of their versatility, lightweight nature, affordability, and ease of use. As the lower microwave bands are extensively utilized, there is a shift in focus towards the higher microwave bands. In this paper, we created the microstrip antenna consisting of two circular elements integrated in a microstrip arrangement and FR-4 (lossy) substrate with a size of 27 mm × 26 mm. With proper design and optimization, the double circular microstrip antenna can become an effective solution for high-frequency communication applications that require superior performance, wide bandwidth, and high efficiency. The results of an antenna operates in the frequency range of 25-35 GHz with a center frequency of 29.63 GHz. provides the minimum return loss of -50.45 dB. The VSWR obtained from Fig. 3 is 1.006, and the gain is 2.463 dBi. Based on the results of this paper, At this frequency, the antenna can be utilized for high-frequency communication, such as satellite communication, 5G, and other applications involving millimeter waves. By enabling efficient and reliable communication in these domains, it contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by fostering technological advancement and supporting the development of robust communication infrastructure. © 2023 IEEE.
