Increasing cyber threats have rendered traditional security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion-detection/prevention systems insufficient in providing adequate protection against advanced persistent threats to homeland security. To enhance protection, the implementation of active cyber defense is recommended, offering alternative yet effective measures against these threats. This paper examines the phases of the cyber kill chain, one of the cyber defense techniques, which has been enhanced to analyze and understand advanced persistent threats. It explains the use of deception, slowdown, and counterattacks for active cyber defense. Additionally, the utilization of artificial intelligence in active cyber defense techniques is discussed. Finally, the paper elucidates how these techniques can be employed within the scope of active cyber defense to enhance security. © 2024 IEEE.

The mango, one of the most important tropical fruits in the world economically, is constantly in danger of going extinct due to a number of diseases. In order to achieve optimal production and quality, prompt intervention and efficient management depend on the early and accurate detection of these diseases. Expert visual inspection is a common component of traditional illness diagnosis techniques, although it can be laborious, subjective, and prone to human mistake. In this research work, we applied Machine Learning techniques to create an automated system for detecting mango disease. The application uses a TFLite model, which was trained on a huge set of images of mango leaves with the following classifications: Powdery Mildew, Bacterial Canker, Black Sooty Mold, Cutting Weevil, Die Back, Anthracnose, and Healthy Leaves. The mango leaf disease dataset is obtained from Kaggle with 300 images. We have evaluated the model with 10 epochs and achieved 100% of accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Kindergarten education has a very important role in shaping the foundation of child development. For parents, see reports on the achievement of children's development at school through the results of each semester's assessment. The process of preparing teacher assessments uses 4 types of assessments, one of which is anecdotal record assessment. However, teachers experience problems in analyzing the topics in children's anecdotal notes so that the results become less clear. In addition, it is still done manually so it takes a long time to analyze. Assessment of children's anecdotal notes is an assessment in the form of a record of events that occur to children while at school. Anecdotal notes are in the form of text data, therefore this research aims to find out the topics in children's anecdotal notes data by utilizing topic modeling using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method. The children's anecdotal notes data is used as one dataset with a total of 276 collected directly from YBPK Sidorejo Kindergarten, after which data preprocessing is carried out in the form of case folding, remove punctuation, tokenizing, stopwords, and stemming. In the LDA topic modeling research using the Gensim library, 5 experiments were carried out by determining the number of different iterations, and displaying a range of 2-10 topics for each experiment. Analysis and evaluation using coherence score to determine the optimal number of topics by looking at the highest coherence score value in the experiment conducted. The analysis results in 3 topics with a coherence score of 0.4704 and 40 iterations or passes. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the most significant issues associated with smart city applications is solid waste management, which has a negative impact on our society's health and the environment. In this paper, a smart waste bin management approach with novel architectural design is proposed, based on modern container-based virtualization and microservices technologies. Its objective is twofold;first, efficient monitoring/tracking of waste bins, analyzing their data and taking further actions in case of out-of-limits values (i.e. with respect to fire danger, fill level etc.) for improving citizens health and daily life, and second, building a flexible application that can easily be deployed and managed in a distributed manner in any relevant environment, with use of modern orchestrators. Beyond the detailed architectural design, several implementation issues of our approach are thoroughly analyzed and discussed, as well as further extensions and initial performance evaluation. © 2023 Owner/Author.

The development of the fetal brain is crucial for a child's cognitive and emotional maturation, highlighting the importance of early identification of neurological issues for effective prenatal care. This study introduces an innovative deep learning framework aimed at predicting fetal brain growth rates from 2D ultrasound images. We utilize a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) that combines longitudinal data with various imaging modalities to enhance prediction accuracy. By incorporating transfer learning alongside sophisticated techniques like attention mechanisms, our model adept.y captures both spatial and temporal dynamics within the data. Results from our experiments demonstrate that this approach outperforms conventional methods, achieving an accuracy. The findings of this research hold significant promise for prenatal healthcare by enabling timely interventions for high-risk pregnancies. Ultimately, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of fetal brain development and illustrates the potential of integrating AI technologies into standard prenatal diagnostic practices. © 2024 IEEE.

The detection of hypernasality, a speech disorder common in children with cleft palate, typically involves analyzing vowels within speech stimuli. An essential acoustic cue for hypernasality detection is the presence of a nasal peak near the first formant (F1). Traditionally, a two-step process is employed, where vowel selection from stimuli is initially performed through manual annotation, followed by automatic feature extraction and classification. This work introduces a novel method for hypernasality detection, automating the entire process, including vowel region selection, feature extraction, and classification. The method leverages vowel onset points for the automatic identification of the vowel region. Subsequently, a modified group delay cepstral coefficient feature is extracted from this automatically selected vowel region. The feature is extracted from modified group delay spectrum, offering enhanced resolution to distinguish closely spaced nasal peaks and the F1, thus improving the capture of nasality evidence. The proposed method demonstrates promising results when applied to hypernasality detection using a support vector machine classifier with the accuracy of 83.50% for /a/ vowel and 93.21% for /i/ vowel. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's rapidly changing digital world, security and trust remain as an essential element supporting a range of communications, transactions, and distributed systems. With the invention of blockchain technology, a trust may now be provided as 'Trust as a Service (TaaS),' a decentralized, verifiable, and essential asset rather than a centralized digital network. In a decentralized and distributed ledger network, the blocks are connected in chronological order, and information is saved using distributed ledger techniques. Since the start of the deployment, blockchain has kept a record of all transactions. This research study analyses the explores the blockchain technology and analyze how it functions as a trusted provider across a range of industries. Also, this study investigates the fundamental ideas behind blockchain, its development, and the cryptographic security systems. This research study illustrates how blockchain maintains confidence in data quality, security, transparency, and immutability across a range of applications, including banking, supply chain, healthcare, and governance. This study also emphasizes the difficulties and possibilities present in the rapidly developing blockchain ecosystem and further discusses about the issues and challenges and various blockchain attacks, solutions, and tools. Finally, the open issues and solutions are analysed. © 2024 IEEE.

Curriculum changes have a significant impact on the field of education in Indonesia, especially in universities. This is because the curriculum is used as a means to achieve the goals of educational success as well as guidelines in the implementation of teaching at every level of education. This study aims to determine public sentiment regarding the implementation curriculum of independent learning (MBKM) through Twitter based on Naïve Bayes with Laplace Estimator. Tweet search results use the keywords 'kurikulum mbkm' and 'mbkm'. The data used in this study amounted to 2500 tweet data which will be divided into 2000 data as training data with details of 1000 positive tweets and 1000 negative tweets and 500 data as testing data. The results showed the performance of Naïve Bayes using Laplace Estimator which resulted in an accuracy value of 80.20%, precision value of 82.00%, and recall value of 79.00%. Meanwhile, the performance of Naïve Bayes without Laplace Estimator resulted in an accuracy value of 77.00%, precision value of 80.00%, and recall value of 74.00%. Naive Bayes with Laplace Estimator reached the highest value in all metrics. © 2023 IEEE.
