Modern combat practices have revealed the high effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicle systems and their swarms in striking enemy resources. Data collection, dynamic task execution planning, and their service on parallel unmanned aerial vehicle systems require a high-performance combat network, effective methods for servicing incoming task flows, and significant computational power. The relevance of this research is dictated by the need to explore potential methods and tools for application that meet these specified requirements. The aim of this work is to analyze and justify the use of the mathematical apparatus of queueing theory, and to develop algorithmic and software solutions for automated control of unmanned aerial vehicle systems. As demonstrated by the analysis of the efficiency of various methods for servicing incoming task flows, queueing theory is one of the probable approaches. Processing such a significant amount of data, making control decisions, and synchronizing unmanned aerial vehicles require substantial intellectual and computational resources, which necessitates the development of artificial intelligence control systems. The novelty of the research lies in the application of the mathematical apparatus of queueing theory and artificial intelligence tools. The practical significance lies in the subsequent development of algorithms and software for managing unmanned aerial vehicle systems. An analytical mechanism for servicing and forming the discipline of queueing for multitasking in UAV swarms is presented. © 2024 IEEE.

As robotics and technology become increasingly integrated into education and daily life, it is important to recognize their essential role. Even young children have access to electronic toys and gadgets, which can facilitate their learning and interaction. This study highlights the significance of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education at the elementary school level, emphasizing how university students from a variety of disciplines can design and construct robots capable of carrying out challenging tasks for humanitarian purposes. The study also emphasizes the need to encourage women's participation in robotics to showcase their skills and innovative ideas. Furthermore, the study demonstrates how robotics can effectively be used in both STEM education and competitive challenges, showcasing its effectiveness in teaching and promoting technological advancement. By encouraging early engagement in STEM education and promoting diversity in the field of robotics, we can empower future generations to lead the way in creating innovative solutions to global challenges. © 2023 IEEE.

Responding to inefficiencies in traditional classroom management methods, this paper proposes an innovative, technology-driven approach to enhance educational processes. Central to our proposal is the development of a facial recognition system designed for efficient student attendance tracking, thus eliminating time-consuming roll calls. Additionally, we plan to introduce interactive whiteboard features to enrich classroom dynamics between students and faculty. However, our approach extends beyond mere attendance tracking and interactive learning. We aim to launch a Program Learning Outcomes (PLO) and Course Learning Outcomes (CLO) mapper. Leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, this tool will auto-align CLOs with PLOs, facilitating a more efficient curriculum development process. We also suggest implementing a feature powered by YOLOv5 to monitor and assess student attention in the classroom. Our comprehensive suite of tools is designed to equip educators with resources to refine their teaching strategies and boost student learning outcomes. By integrating facial recognition for attendance, interactive whiteboard features, NLP-based CLO/PLO mapping, and attention monitoring, we aspire to provide a robust solution enabling educators to adapt their teaching methods to students' unique needs. © 2023 IEEE.

This study contributes to a deeper understanding of energy consumption in software applications, emphasizing the critical need for energy efficiency. We focus on integrating performance counter events and system call data to build energy predictive models using advanced machine learning techniques, including linear regression, multi-layer perceptrons, and random forests. These models are carefully calibrated against empirical energy measurements obtained through the Perf framework. Our study addresses variability in model outcomes that stem from differences in feature selection and the inherent discrepancies of operating systems. Through various experimentation, we demonstrate that our models robustly predict energy consumption across diverse scenarios, with particularly promising results in unseen datasets. However, challenges persist in cross-application efficacy. Event-based models particularly stand out, offering reliable energy estimations in novel applications. This research validates the effectiveness of our methodologies and also illuminates the complex landscape of precise energy consumption modeling in contemporary software environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Effective communication is crucial when working on complex or wicked problems in interdisciplinary, international teams. Developing a shared understanding of critical concepts and aligning knowledge, focus, and resources can be problematic when stakeholders speak different languages, span several disciplines and work within different national or industry-based norms. Using visual tools to represent critical concepts and their relations, and map out our strategic goals has greatly helped combat such issues. This paper recounts the use and impact of adopting visual tools within the transnational and interdisciplinary collaborative environment in the BC4ECO project's international consortium. The Miro Board and the canvas approach greatly helped represent, visualise, and thus concretise the structure and contents of our collaboration, which takes place within a 3 years ERASMUS+ framework that builds and delivers Summer School, MOOCS as well as teacher and multiplier events about harnessing the potential of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) for environmental sustainability. As the materials and MOOCS are expected to become Open Education Resources and have a wide impact, it is particularly crucial to get the contents as well as the pedagogy right, in spite of the team's differences in almost any dimension of background and culture. © 2023 IEEE.

Jordan has a high and growing level of traffic accidents reaching 160,600) accidents in 2021, (11,241) of them had human injuries, (589) deaths, and (320) million JOD losses. Road traffic accidents are currently the 8th leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for about 1.35 million fatalities annually. Understanding the primary causes of these accidents and the circumstances in which they occur is essential if governments throughout the world are to put policies in place to limit the number of fatalities brought on by traffic accidents. This project has two objectives: (i) to learn more about Jordan's present road accident situation by performing an exploratory study on several road accident datasets, and (ii) to investigate the effectiveness of various machine-learning techniques in predicting the severity of road accidents in Jordan. The dataset entities were collected, collated, explored, and prepared for use in the model. To assess their predictive performance, five different classification algorithms were trained and tested. The findings of the present study demonstrate that the best algorithm was Logistic Regression, which had an accuracy of 98.1%. © 2023 IEEE.

Increasing technology led to increasing collaboration between the countries in general, especially the Arabic world. In recent years, many impacts affect the growth of research work in different Arabic countries. In this research, we show the growth of research work and its quality between Arabs and the rest of the world. We collected over 2500 publications and used it to create a new table that contains the intersection between each Arab country and each co-author's continent to show the relationship between each Arabic country with the rest of the world. We divided the data into two periods, before and after 2015, then we used Hue to apply our analysis on the data. We focused on the number of publications and the number of citation for each Arabic country. We noticed the rapid growth in the last period in some Arabic countries such as Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. In contrast, the rest of the countries had slow or decreasing growth. © 2023 IEEE.

The testing phase is one of the most important phases of the software life cycle, which ensures the efficiency and quality of the software product. Many tests are conducted on the software, not only to detect errors, but also to provide a complete picture of the quality of the outputs provided by the program and to increase confidence in all of the functions. Due to the difficulty in estimating most of the test data and the time spent in this process, many techniques are used in the automatic generation of test cases. The genetic algorithm is one of the most important used methods in this process, and it has achieved great success in generating limited and appropriate test cases to give a complete conceptualization of the function under test. The Junit testing framework is used in automated testing processes within test-based development methodologies, but it lacks of a mechanism to specify and generate a specific test data that put the program under test in the required scenario. In order for the programmer to be able to perform the test automatically in an integrated way within JUnit testing framework, the genetic algorithm has been improved in this research and emerged into the JUnit testing framework to fully automatic testing and generate various numeric test cases at the unit-test stage. Based on testing of the proposed algorithm within the Junit testing framework, it has proven its effectiveness and facilitation of generating perfect specific numeric test cases. © 2023 IEEE.

Deduplication is a ubiquitous compression technique for cloud storage servers. It reduces storage and bandwidth requirements by avoiding duplicate copies of data. However, developing an encryption scheme for deduplication is a critical challenge because traditional encryption techniques are not compatible with deduplication. The existing state-of-the-art encryption schemes are at risk of brute-force attacks as they use deterministic techniques for key generation. Moreover, the user in the recent schemes suffers from storage overhead of deduplication metadata and encryption keys. In this paper, we introduce a secure and efficient key management scheme for deduplication. In our scheme, the user divides the file into blocks and encrypts each block using a random key. As a result, our scheme protects against brute-force attacks. In addition, the user securely shares the encryption keys on public storage servers with the aid of a private server. As a result, the proposed approach causes lower storage overhead. We implement our scheme in a real cloud scenario and evaluate the performance of our approach in terms of storage and computation overhead. © 2023 IEEE.

Kindergarten is the most important beginning of a child's formal education. Since the brain is rapidly developing in early childhood, a lack of brain development at kindergarten can create a weak foundation for learning, health, and behavioral problems throughout life. Digital learning and monitoring applications for young children are widely available but often lack opportunities for physical engagement, which can negatively impact executive function development. In this paper, we introduce a system for continuously monitoring mental development in terms of working memory, decision-making ability, language skills, and likelihood of having ADHD. The system consists of three physically playable games that collect performance data from digital sensors and encourage children to be involved in physical activities while increasing enthusiasm for evaluations. Continuous performance measurement allows teachers and parents to know the development of children and guide them or direct them to have suitable medical treatments. Memory development evaluation is done from the button-pressing game which allows giving inputs according to a pattern previously indicated. For decision-making ability measurement, we are using a remote controllable robot and maze in which children navigate the robot toward the winning point of the maze. Language development is measured by giving several activities through an attractive device that measures listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Furthermore, checking ADHD is done by lively tracking child behavior from a camera while playing a game and invalid game inputs. © 2023 IEEE.
