The paper presents a critical and comprehensive analysis of recent developments, trends and challenges of Flexible Query Answering systems.(FQASs).Flexible query answering is a multidisciplinary research field at the crossroad of several disciplines among which information Retrieval (IR), databases, knowledge based systems. Natural Language Processing (NLP) and the semantic web, which aims to provide powerful means and techniques for better reflecting human preferences and intentions to retrieve relevant *** analysis follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines characterized by a top-down process, starting with relevant keywords for the topic of interest to retrieverelevant articles from meta-sources, and complementing them with relevant articles from seed sources identified by a bottom-up *** mine the retrieved publication data a network analysis is performed which allows to present in a synthetic way intrinsic topics of publications by revealing aspects of interest. Issues dealt with are related to both query answering methods,both model-based and data-driven, the latter based on Machine Learning, and to their needs for explainability and fairness, and big data, notably by taking into account data *** point out trends and challenges to help better shaping the future of the FQAS field. © 2022, The Authors. Terrain prickliness: theoretical grounds for high complexity viewsheds

MSC Codes 68U05An important task in terrain analysis is computing viewsheds. A viewshed is the union of all the parts of the terrain that are visible from a given viewpoint or set of viewpoints. The complexity of a viewshed can vary significantly depending on the terrain topography and the viewpoint position. In this work we study a new topographic attribute, the prickliness, that measures the number of local maxima in a terrain from all possible angles of view. We show that the prickliness effectively captures the potential of 2.5D TIN terrains to have high complexity viewsheds. We present optimal (for 1.5D terrains) and near-optimal (for 2.5D terrains) algorithms to compute it for TIN terrains, and efficient approximate algorithms for raster DEMs. We validate the usefulness of the prickliness attribute with experiments in a large set of real terrains. Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) can be described as the set of methodologies and strategies for the elimination of defective components during production, and is one of the main goals of Industry 4.0. ZDM is very appealing to industries grace to the reduction of operational costs associated with defective components. Efficient defect detection in modern production lines may benefit from Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in numerous stages of the manufacturing process. This paper presents a short review of AI technologies employed during product inspection and quality assessment. Indicative applications are reported to demonstrate that AI in its many flavors may be efficiently integrated into production environments and pave the way towards ZDM. © 2021 IEEE.

Use of Wikipedia categories on information retrieval research: a brief review

information Retrieval (IR) application to the refinement and improvement of search expressions, is one of the major areas of computer science. That's the reason why several types of work are identified, depending on the intrinsic study of the categories structure, or its use as a tool for the processing and analysis of another documentary corpus different to Wikipedia. This paper revises them identifying not only the different category uses, and applications by adopting a systematic literature review approach of IR research but also analyzing how a knowledge organization system, developed collaboratively, is being used as a research tool in different approaches to information processing and retrieval. Surprisingly, the set of available works shows that in many cases research approaches applied and results obtained can be integrated into a comprehensive and inclusive concept of IR. This paper presents a study for optimizing a hot rolling mill. The paper is devoted to the study of ways to reduce the effect of shock loads of synchronous electric drives of the roughing mill group on the relative lengthening of the metal strip in the inter-stand gap of the rolling stands of the finishing mill group. The elasticity of the metal strip in the inter-stand gap of the rolling mill has a significant impact on the movement of intercoupled multi-motor electric drives of the finishing mill group. Another crucial route of exposure that influences the motion of the electric drives within the finishing mill group involves the electromagnetic connection between the drives in the roughing and finishing mill groups. The impact of the electromagnetically connected circuits is evident through the effect of shock loads from synchronous electric drives on the angular velocity of the direct current electric drives within the finishing mill group. The characteristics of the electromagnetic communication circuit are established by the power grid arrangement and equipment specifications. To assess the quality of work of electric drives of the finishing mill group, it is proposed to use the relative lengthening of the metal strip in the inter-stand gap, which is an important indirect indicator of the quality of rolling. The mathematical model of a hot rolling mill that takes into account both the elasticity of the metal strip that connects the DC electric drives of the finishing group, and the electromagnetic coupling circuit that takes into account the impact loads of synchronous electric drives of the roughing group on the example of the mill 1700 of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC was proposed in this paper. Residents who live in rural area normally have limited access to Internet, poor living condition and limited access to healthcare services. Besides, medical specialists are not available every day. As such, quality of healthcare services in rural area is extremely low. In Saudi Arabia, there are approximately 5.69 million people living in rural area (resource-poor settings). This work proposes a framework to develop mobile health application to aid the resource poor settings community health. The mobile health application makes use of the pre-trained neural network model to provide result of disease prediction for user. The application performance in term of accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score are measured using an existing diseases dataset and considering nine common diseases in the community. Measurement results show that the health mobile app developed thru the proposed framework is promising. © 2020 IEEE.

A stroke, also known as brain attack, occurs when blood supply to your brain is interrupted. Primary prevention relies on prompt prediction of a stroke. While currently there are several clinical risk scores, machine learning (ML) models seems to be more suitable tools for accurate prediction of stroke events. Therefore, this work focuses on the prediction of stroke within 7 years follow-up in patients who have not suffered from a stroke or TIA event at baseline. LightGBM (LGBM), Extreme Grading Boosting (XGBoost), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Decision Tree were employed in the getABI dataset, which includes 5,897 participants. The performance of models was calculated by Accuracy (ACC), Sensitivity (SENS), Specificity (SPE) and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of each model. According to the comparison analysis’s results, LGBM has been shown to be the most trustworthy algorithm, with accuracy 68 %. Moreover, sex, age, status of peripheral artery disease (PAD), history of myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, amputation and diabetes and pulse status of different arteries can be used as a simple and cost-effective way to predict *** Relevance: A fatal medical emergency, stroke may be anticipated using artificial intelligence, and the sooner it is predicted, the more cerebrovascular disease occurrences can be avoided.

In this paper, online application has been created using the Internet, which is a real means of communication between citizens and e-government. The main objectives of this application are: facilitate transactions;communication between the government and the citizen;reduce the problems and how to solve;know the real numbers of the displaced and the migrating. As the citizen can communicate with the Ministry of Migration and Displaced Persons then all the documents can be sent and received. It is also used to complete the information (modifying the names plus delete the change of places and exit) in the database system using the full name and number of the family ration card to enter the system. The user can send their request to the electronic public distribution system directly and the electronic center can take the answer and reply, the system or application is considered direct solutions for citizens and answer their inquiries, know where they are, where they move, update their numbers by the employees, modify, view and add database. The system gives the name of entry and the password of traffic. It can be seen by using Microsoft Office Access, Tomcats server, JSP, and HTML the results are very satisfactory and accurate statistics. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper presents client-server mobile system for diagnosis of asynchronous motors. The system is created as a mobile application for smartphones and tablets. The system provides processing of the measured values of the currents and voltages of the stator phases of the asynchronous motor. According to the processing results, the results of diagnostics and forecasting of the current state of asynchronous motors are calculated. The software runs on the Android OS. The main purpose is to predict the current state of AD, which has a parametric electromagnetic asymmetry of the stator phases.
