To directly investigate the dynamic nanoscale phenomenon on the surface being processed in wet conditions such as precision polishing, and cleaning in semiconductor industrial, an optical method for visualization and observation of each sub-100 nm sized particle that is moving on an interface such as a silica glass surface by applying an evanescent field have been proposing. Subsequently, we developed an experimental apparatus equipped with an optical microscopy system for verifying the moving particle observation method in a laboratory scale. This paper presents a novel computer vision-based approach for assessing leg length discrepancy (LLD) in individuals with prosthetic limbs. The proposed solution uses image processing techniques to detect markers placed on the patient's knee, prosthesis, and a reference wall, allowing for precise measurement of limb alignment. Through a comparative analysis of the initial reference position, set by a specialist, and the current limb positioning, the algorithm identifies discrepancies in leg length. The system employs a non-invasive methodology, utilizing an IP camera to capture images and communicate them via Wi-Fi to a computing unit for further analysis. Experimental validation, conducted on simulated LLDs ranging from 1mm to 10mm, demonstrates the system's high sensitivity and accuracy in detecting subtle changes in limb alignment. This approach offers a scalable, automated alternative to traditional manual methods, improving both the reliability and ease of prosthetic adjustments.

This paper presents the development of an acquisition system and data logger from an existing set of three continuous stirred-tank reactors in series. The reactors are currently used in chemical engineering educational laboratories to perform kinetic and tracer experiments. In this sense, to accomplish the store data process, the volumetric flow rate and the concentration of tracer, reactants and/or products of the reaction must be acquired as a function of time. In the original experimental setup, only the signal conditioning system was operational, while the acquisition, visualization, and controlsystems were obsolete and damaged. Thus, a new system composed of an interface and real-time acquisition data is proposed alongside preserving the main reactor structure. A graphical user interface and the automation of the various actuators were developed based on worldwide usage and low cost, respectively. This system, based on a common 8-bit microcontroller and an application developed in Lazarus, allows the storage of the acquired data in a time-series database. In this way, students can analyze the results later or in real time. Moreover, remote access allows controlling the reactor and getting data by the Internet of Things (IoT) resources. Additionally, the proposed system using IoT allows data to be shared with the community as a dataset.
