EMG-based hand gesture recognition uses electromyographic (EMG) signals to interpret and classify hand movements by analyzing electrical activity generated by muscle contractions. It has wide applications in prosthesis control, rehabilitation training, and human-computer interaction. Using electrodes placed on the skin, the EMG sensor captures muscle signals, which are processed and filtered to reduce noise. Numerous feature extraction and machine learning algorithms have been proposed to extract and classify muscle signals to distinguish between various hand *** paper aims to benchmark the performance of EMG-based hand gesture recognition using novel feature extraction methods, namely, fused time-domain descriptors, temporal-spatial descriptors, and wavelet transform-based features, combined with the state-of-the-art machine and deep learning models. Experimental investigations on the Grabmyo dataset demonstrate that the 1D Dilated CNN performed the best with an accuracy of 97% using fused time-domain descriptors such as power spectral moments, sparsity, irregularity factor and waveform length ratio. Similarly, on the FORS-EMG dataset, random forest performed the best with an accuracy of 94.95% using temporal-spatial descriptors (which include time domain features along with additional features such as coefficient of variation (COV), and Teager-Kaiser energy operator (TKEO)). © 2024 IEEE.

The demand for food production has led to advancements in precision agriculture, aiming to enhance crop yield and quality. This study investigates the application of deep learning algorithms, including GoogLeNet, RESNET-50, MobileNet-v2, VGG-16, and ShuffleNet, for automated plant disease detection. The research utilizes a dataset comprising images of citrus diseases to train and evaluate the models. Results show promising accuracy rates, highlighting the potential of deep learning in optimizing resource utilization and facilitating timely interventions in agriculture. © 2024 IEEE.

Stress is one of the prevailing issues in today's world, deeply impacting the actual well-being of individuals. In this paper, we introduce an innovative method to detect stress that deviates from the mainstream approaches, which rely solely on physiologic signals and self-reporting. Our non-invasive, efficient, and scalable real-time system, built on the facial image data processed by CNNs, makes real-time human stress detection possible. The system captures facial expressions through video or static images, which it then processes within a CNN model to identify stress-related features. CNNs are particularly innovative in that they are adept.at automatically extracting and learning hierarchical features from extremely complex, unstructured data like facial images. Facial expression datasets were used to train and test the proposed model in different stress conditions. The model achieved a very good accuracy level in differentiating stressed from non-stressed states, thus putting it on par with professionals. Real-time testing of the system's performance was done on edge devices such as smartphones to prove its potential for use in real-life applications related to mobile health. As facial image data is utilised by the system, thereby killing the need for wearable sensors or invasive physiological monitoring, the approach would be more accessible for detecting stress levels. This research showed that CNN models developed based on facial images can transform stress monitoring. Its implications are wide, applicable in health care, workplace settings, and even self-manageable personal stress. In future work, the model should be generalised for diverse populations, the system's real-time capabilities enhanced, and multimodal data further integrated to increase detection accuracy and reliability. © 2024 IEEE.

Satellite and airborne multispectral imaging has shown huge potential for many agricultural applications, primarily for plant indices. Imaging close to plants allows further expansion of this potential, such as early identification of plant disease or sufficient maturity status for harvest. To this aim, the joint use of optical spectrometry and multispectral imaging is shown effective: the most informative spectral bands for a given application can be identified so that the number of filters could be reduced to be mounted on a dedicated multispectral imaging system. To validate the on-field approach, we developed a compact, modular multispectral imaging system equipped with four sensors in the visible and near- IR band, a sensor in the far-IR, and a set of sensors to measure environmental parameters (T, RH, CO2, lux). This system collects only the most informative data needed for specific tasks from which spectral indices or processing methods can be implemented to improve automated analysis also through artificial intelligence approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

computer vision is a field that is used to build many neural network-based prototypes efficiently. It analyses images and videos effectively and processes them digitally. Human Pose estimation (HPE) is one of the computer vision applications which additionally uses neural networks for prediction. Human pose estimation is used widely in many fields which includes action recognition, fitness, gaming, and motion capture. HPE identifies and locates the key points on the body joints of a person's body. These body points are connected to form a Skeletal Structure. This skeletal representation helps to easily visualize the image in 2-D. Focusing on Sports domain, HPE plays major role in estimating athlete movements. It helps in analyzing the feedback on the posture which allows to make adjustments during training. It also helps viewers to analyse the insights of athlete performance. To achieve the model that contains all these features, requires involvement of few frameworks. OpenPose is utilised for fast processing of videos and can detect the multiple people in one frame. OpenPose has the capability of handling the occulsion. On the Other hand, the model also import the capabilities of HRNet, which is used for analyzing athlete movements and tracks the gestures. After detecting the keypoints on the body joints, these points must be integrated to form 2-D images. To achieve the spatial relationship between the bodypoints Joint Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (JGCN) framework is used. The proposed model is estimated to generate approximately (4- 5)percent more efficiency and accuracy in its output 2-D image compared with the previous models. © 2024 IEEE.

A natural event known as a drought is defined by a long period of insufficient rainfall and limited access to water supplies, which means there isn't enough water for many uses, including agriculture, industry and domestic consumption. The Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) is a frequently utilized indicator in drought monitoring. In this work, from 1981 to 2017, temporal variation at Ishwardi upazila was used to evaluate and analyze the SPEI's performance at 1, 3, 6 and 12-month timeframes. An analysis is carried out to see how well machine learning approach such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random-Forest (RF), Decision-Tree (DT), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) work in forecasting drought conditions. The prediction outcomes of all five techniques were assessed using four performance measures: the Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Nash-Sutcliffe Model Efficiency Coefficient (NSE). The proposed methods provided good results and can serve as a quick decision-making tool for water management. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the greatest significant and fastest-growing financial sectors of India's agriculture industry at the moment is poultry. Chicken output has been steadily rising globally due to superior manufacturing processes and uniform farming management. Automation is essential in today's environment, and the Internet of Things (IoT) is a rapidly developing idea. Traditional systems are being transformed into automated systems. The project's main goal is to automate chicken farms by utilizing Internet of Things technology to carry out several management-related tasks. This study examines how a poultry farm's environmental factors, similar to humidity, temperature, and ammonia gas, are automatically observed and managed to promote chicken growth. The water position is also controlled and covered with the help of a detector module. All detector values are acquired by connecting all the detector modules to the microcontroller, and also, using the WIFI module, they will be uploaded to the webpage. Being in the care of the loud ranch can get the inner eco-friendly condition over a PC using the internet. This system will control temperature, moisture, ammonia gas and water situation with the help of a cooling addict, exhaust addict, ventilation window and DC motor without any moral interface. Grounded on the threshold values, it'll switch on the bias. therefore, this system design provides automated flesh, reduces the pool, and increases the product of healthy cravens. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a comprehensive approach to summarizing, analyzing, and show monthly expenses using machine learning models. Email Phishing Detection focuses on studying how to process emails and spot threats using machine learning and advanced natural language processing. It aims to shield people and businesses from real email misuse. This study tries to fix some problems that earlier research had faced. It does this by making better machine learning detectors to spot fake emails. These detectors use different data sets and look at how to pull out key info. They also try to adapt to new tricks scammers use. The solutions put forward use new methods. These include tweaking features, combining different learning models, and using deep learning to boost accuracy while checking emails in real-time. The study also looks at how to use natural language processing (NLP) to understand what emails mean. This helps catch more fake emails. By looking at both how emails are written and what they mean, the system can spot scams more. This cuts down on false alarms and makes the system more reliable. This well-rounded approach not pushes the boundaries of spotting fake emails but also creates a strong system that can change as cyber threats do. This ensures protection that lasts and can bounce back from attacks. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes a method for estimating the State of Charge (SOC) of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries based on an experimental thermal model that considers internal battery temperatures. The proposed algorithm involves selecting a thermal model and suggesting methods for extracting parameters from the chosen model. Using the proposed thermal model, the algorithm compensates for temperature differences in cold and hot environments, thereby correcting the internal temperature to estimate SOC accurately. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by estimating the SOC of electric vehicle LFP batteries and comparing the accuracy before and after correction.
