De-convolution and De-noising of SAR Based GPS Images Using Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization

Synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging is an efficient strategy which exploits the properties of microwaves to capture images. A major concern in SAR imaging is the reconstruction of image from back scattered signals in the presence of noise. The reflected signal consist of more noise than the target signal and it is a challenging problem to reduce the noise in the collected signal for better reconstruction of an image. Current studies mostly focus on filtering techniques for noise removal. This can result in an undesirable point spread function causing extreme smearing effect in the desired image. In order to handle this problem, a computational technique, particle swarm optimization(PSO) is used for de-noising purpose and later the target performance is further improved by an amalgamation of Wiener ***, to improve the de-noising performance we have exploited the singular value decomposition based morphological filtering. To justify the proposed improvements we have simulated the proposed techniques and results are compared with the conventional existing models. The proposed method revealed considerable decrease in mean square error compared to Wiener filter and PSO techniques. Quantitative analysis of image restoration quality are also presented in comparison with Wiener filter and PSO based on the improvement in signal to noise ratio and peak signal to noise ratio.

Language acquisition is an integral part of early schooling, but young English language learners struggle to learn vocabulary and syntax since they are not provided with specialized instruction. Conventional teaching may vary according to different learning speeds and it leads to unbalanced levels of proficiency among students and possibly leading to disengagement among slow learners. The present computer-assisted learning aids provide practice interactively but without real-time adaptation and personalized feedback, limiting their capacity to address learners’ unique problems. To overcome these constraints, this study suggests an Artificial Intelligence based personalized learning system that supports vocabulary and syntax learning via adaptive learning models, NLP-based chatbots and gamified interactive lessons. The system dynamically adapts content according to students’ most recent performance in real time to enable a personalized learning experience, which results in efficient Learning. The research has experimental study design, and two groups are considered, an AI-supported learning group and a traditional learning group. Pre-test and post-test design measures the effects of the system on vocabulary recall and syntax correctness. Other learner engagement rates like survey results and qualitative feedback inform learner experience and learning efficacy. Initial results indicate that learners working with the Artificial Intelligence powered learning system gained 25percent in recalling vocabulary and 30percent in syntax accuracy over the control group. Further, learner engagement rates are elevated because of real-time feedback and gamification components. These results emphasize the promise of AI-based personalized learning to boost language acquisition and lay the basis for further effective innovations in adaptive education technologies. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization). Some of the well-known signature techniques like Winternitz and Lamport are not considered to be very appropriate for the usage of hashing or smart contracts in Blockchains security because of their size O(n²), which is prominently too high. Although in Blockchain, the security concern is on the top priority because of its distributed P2P design still, the security enhancement is required to sign and verify the documents forwarded to the peers, especially in Hyperledger Fabric. Here, this paper presents a new signature technique “Block-Hash” to enhance Blockchain security by using it in smart contracts as well as hashing with size 3Xn bits (n = 256, generally for SHA-256 Hashing) and which can score 112 bits security. The proposed signature can be used appropriately for signing a smart contract by the endorser or committer node. Also, it can be used with a hash algorithm in forming a Merkle tree. Apart from the description and implementation of Block-Hash Signature, this paper has covered the analysis of its security and correctness measures with a table for result comparison. © 2023 River Publishers.

The purpose of this research is to develop the soft robotic tongue to mimic the movements of English pronunciation aiming at the learning support for English pronunciation. The structure consists of three primary soft actuators. The material applied to the tongue system and the actuator is an Ecoflex 00-30 elastomer. Finite Element Methods (FEM) simulations were conducted to confirm the deformation patterns and compare the results from the 3D animated software Pronunciation Coach 3D. The results show that the bend, bulge, and flap deformation are close to the 3D animated software demonstration with a pressure of 120 kPa. However, the pressure parameter needs an adjustment so the velocity of the tongue model can follow human tongue movements.

We present a narrative of the eruptive events culminating in the cataclysmic January 15, 2022 eruption of Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai Volcano by synthesizing diverse preliminary seismic, volcanological, sound wave, and lightning data available within the first few weeks after the eruption occurred. The first hour of eruptive activity produced fast-propagating tsunami waves, long-period seismic waves, loud audible sound waves, infrasonic waves, exceptionally intense volcanic lightning and an unsteady volcanic plume that transiently reached-at 58km-the Earth’s mesosphere. Energetic seismic signals were recorded worldwide and the globally stacked seismogram showed episodic seismic events within the most intense periods of phreatoplinian activity, and they correlated well with the infrasound pressure waveform recorded in Fiji. Gravity wave signals were strong enough to be observed over the entire planet in just the first few hours, with some circling the Earth multiple times subsequently. These large-amplitude, long-wavelength atmospheric disturbances come from the Earth’s atmosphere being forced by the magmatic mixture of tephra, melt and gasses emitted by the unsteady but quasicontinuous eruption from 0402±1–1800 UTC on January 15, 2022. Atmospheric forcing lasted much longer than rupturing from large earthquakes recorded on modern instruments, producing a type of shock wave that originated from the interaction between compressed air and ambient(wavy) sea surface. This scenario differs from conventional ideas of earthquake slip, landslides, or caldera collapse-generated tsunami waves because of the enormous(~1000x) volumetric change due to the supercritical nature of volatiles associated with the hot,volatile-rich phreatoplinian plume. The time series of plume altitude can be translated to volumetric discharge and mass flow rate. For an eruption duration of ~12 h, the eruptive volume and mass are estimated at 1.9 km^(3) and~2 900 Tg, respectively, corresponding to a VEI

This paper aims to develop a Matlab application for computer-assisted learning in the evaluation of liver tumors using ultrasound. Diagnosing liver tumors detected during standard ultrasound exams is challenging for doctors, often requiring detailed investigations for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. computerized analysis of ultrasound images can significantly aid doctors in interpreting these images and formulating accurate diagnoses. The Matlab programming environment provides various tools for processing biomedical images. In this study, Histogram and Entropy functions were utilized to accurately differentiate between malignant and benign liver tumors. Additionally, Matlab App Designer was used to create a user-friendly interface for doctors. This application is also beneficial for students, offering a valuable tool for self-testing and skill development in clinical ultrasound courses and practical sessions. The proposed Matlab application employs classic image processing tools and serves as useful software for students learning liver ultrasound techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents a novel approach for simulating Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) that is based on timed dataflow graphs. Whereas conventional SNN simulators compute changes in spiking neuron variables at each time step, the proposed simulation approach focuses on evaluating spike timings. This focus on evaluating when a dataflow actor (spiking neuron) reaches a new spike contributes to making spike evaluation an event-driven computation. The resulting event-driven simulation approach avoids unnecessary computations at time steps that lie between spiking events. This optimization is achieved while avoiding the large overheads associated with lookup tables that are incurred in existing event-driven approaches. Our results show identical spiking behavior compared to simulation using a conventional (time-based) simulator while providing significant improvement in execution time. © 2020 IEEE.

Today's autonomous vehicles will deploy multiple sensors to achieve safe and reliable navigation and precise perception of the environment. Although multiple sensors can be advantageous in terms of providing a robust and complete description of the surrounding area, the synchronization of multi-sensors in real-time processing is extremely important. When data is synchronized, primary functional systems such as localization, perception, planning, and control, will all benefit. In this paper, we proposed a synchronized data illustration and collection method to assist the data processing applications for autonomous driving. Our proposed solution among different sensors can be directly deployed on autonomous vehicles for data integration and environment analysis to support the driving model construction. The experimental results validate that our proposed method can present a 360 synchronized view while providing the capability of real-time scanning with up to 80% reduced latency. © 2020 IEEE.
