The objective of the work is to track the level of cotton dust in the textile sector. The IoT-enabled cotton dust monitoring system deploys three sensors: Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F; Shinyei PPD42NS; and Honeywell HPMA115S0-XXX measuring the dust levels. The Optical dust sensor GP2Y1010AU0F has a threshold of 1 mg/mS, which is placed inside the mask and when that threshold is crossed, buzzer alerts the worker with the air contaminants. It measures inhaled cotton dust and sends data to IoT, real-time concentration height of dust into the mobile devices. Experimental results show that Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F sensor has achieved award for acquiring the highest mean dust concentration of 95.167 mg/mS with a standard deviation of 3.014 among the three sensors, while Honeywell HPMA115S0-XXX and Shinyei PPD42NS recorded a mean of 87.833 mg/mS and 77.500 mg/mS, respectively. The observed response times of the sensors as follows for GP2Y1010AU0F-8s, HPMA115S0-XXX-6s, and PPD42NS- 5s, recording the fastest response by Honeywell HPMA115S0-XXX. A comparative study in accuracy, precision and sensitivity, with a response time, shows the merits and demerits for each sensor. Results emphasize the effectiveness of the system proposed for monitoring in terms of airborne cotton dust exposure in improving safety in textile workplaces. A meta-analysis is performed with Bayesian framework using JASP software.

Manual visual inspection for defect detection in manufacturing can lead to high false positive rates. This paper compares data mining techniques for the binary classification of defects in flat products in a relatively open scenario. The background provides context on research into data mining-based detection. The methodology is divided into five sections: data collection, selection, preprocessing and transformation, classification, and model evaluation. Each section details the techniques applied, tailored to the application context, with specifying examples. Experiments apply real-world data sets self-collected from production lines. Statistics like prediction accuracy are generated by established data mining evaluation algorithms. Results indicate the efficacy of data mining for automated defect detection over manual approaches. Finally, conclusions summarize findings and discuss the limitations of the current research and planned future work to address the drawbacks. Overall, the formalized methodology and supportive experimental results demonstrate both the viability and potential areas of improvement for data mining in manufacturing quality control. © 2025, The Authors. Cosmic radiation is an ionizing radiation produced when primary protons and α particles from outside the solar system interact with components of the earth's atmosphere. Cosmic radiation is a general term for radiation produced by high-energy subatomic particles from outer space and, more importantly, secondary (ionizing) radiation from the sun and high-energy subatomic particles that react with nitrogen, oxygen, and other elements in the atmosphere. In this study, Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) via Multilayer Perceptrons (MLPs) were used to estimate the radiation doses due to cosmic radiation for different domestic flights related with Istanbul and Ankara Airports in Turkey. Dose values were calculated with the CARI-7A program and DNNs. The parameters for calculating dose rates are latitude, longitude and depth. As per Indian medical survey reports, MNC employees spend more than 1000 kilocalories of energy stored in their body. This is due to the different official timings and heavy working hours. So, it leads to various health problems like obesity and sometimes cardiac arrest. During the travelling period, the employees can utilize their time in e-fitness system at Metro/MMTS trains which reduces mental pressure and improves the physical strength and fitness thereby avoiding the wastage of traveling time of the persons. The e-fitness system with smart card facility will be available for all types of people and will be monitored by an expert fitness guide, with the help of IoT. The main aim is to connect the large city through a metro train track so that e-fitness will be made available for everyone. By introducing this E-Fitness system in metro, it generates electrical power which can be used for running the electrical things in metro trains. © 2019 IEEE.

Rapid and easy transaction through credit card system has increased fallacious cases everywhere. Machine Learning algorithms has been applied for identifying fraudulent transactions. Fraud detection problem have two major issues, firstly, the legitimate and fraudsters consistently change behaviour and secondly, datasets are severely skewed. Implementation of the system littered with machine learning algorithms, excerpting variables and sampling accession on datasets. This paper investigates the performance of Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Decision Tree and SVM (Support Vector Machine). The proposed system shows results according to accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision of above techniques. Transactions in the dataset are heavily right skewed. Undersampling and oversampling is conducted on the data. The work is implemented in Python. © 2019 IEEE.

With the increasing prevalence of criminal activities, there is a growing need for effective crime detection methods leveraging modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing. In this paper, we propose a transfer learning (TL)-based solution for criminal face detection using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to improve public safety. Leveraging pre-trained CNN models, we fine-tune them on a dataset comprising images of known criminals and non-criminals. The proposed framework aims to mitigate the challenges associated with training CNNs from scratch, such as data scarcity and computational inefficien-cies. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework in accurately identifying criminal faces, showcasing its potential for enhancing law enforcement efforts. We achieved the highest accuracy of 97% with the TL scheme.

This work is proposed to improve the security and privacy issues in real-time database system, such as the military departments, public organizations and the other private organizations. These institutions are associated with the database system environments that shows controlled retrieving of data and information with their operation. In fact, the huge volumes of data and information are supervised by the today's real-time database system. For security purpose a concurrency control algorithm (OPT) is used, a simulation is written in C+ + for the real-time databases and timing constraints is also used in this research. Hence, this work consistently tackles, improves and identifies the solutions of different challenges such as security and privacy of database, such as security measures objectives, security threats to database and the database security maintenance process. The paper presents the mechanism of scheduling called as 'timing' and access control 'timing' in real-time. © 2020 IEEE.

Droplet as the basic element of spray phenomenon, has drawn engineering researchers to investigate the characteristics. Spray cooling, spray painting and spray fuel combustion are only few that mentions the applications in engineering. Modeling and simulation of the droplet is a very important subject in line as an experimental field. Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) that emerged as a non-conventional tool in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is used in this work. The multi-phase fluids that involved were treated by the pseudo-potential method. The results in this work were validated through spurious current measurement. The floating droplet simulation plotted in high-density fluids inside the droplet and low-density fluid outside. The interface between the two-different density then plotted at the average of both high and low density. © 2019 IEEE

Mobile gadgets are progressively assuming a vital role in individuals’ everyday routines as they streamline several practical activities. Mobile cloud computing overcomes the constraints of memory, CPU, and battery life, and enhances its functionalities by integrating mobile and cloud computing. Big data analytics solutions facilitate the extraction of value from data by considering four key factors: volume, diversity, velocity, and validity. The study explores the use of mobile cloud computing and big data analytics in the context of networked healthcare. The focus is on the justification and development of interconnected healthcare applications and systems, highlighting the rise of cloud computing in this domain. The paper presents a cloudlet-based mobile cloud computing architecture designed specifically for big data applications in the healthcare sector. In the proposed framework the study assess two types of models that is cloud-based model and Wi-fi Cloudlet-based model, the working mechanism model describe the differentiation in processing. Furthermore, this study evaluates the results obtained and compares both mechanism based on latency in processing.
