As presenting a part of a larger study, the aim of this paper is to present how the change management is considered from the first steps in the implementation of a solar energy generator as a need in the complex change process from totally fossil to a hybrid system (that may reach 100% solar), in the presence of technological and economic change triggering factors (CTF). The need of change management (CM) in the implementation of solar energy generation begins from the very moment and first discussion between the service provider (facilitator, consultant, research team, etc.) and the decisional factors (end-users), due to different approaches, in this new and non-standardized activity, and the capacity to understand the implications on medium and long terms of different decisions made by the involved players.. When solar generation facility is designed it starts with an investigation of the design data identification. Usually the end-user must provide these data but, also usually, it is not capable to do that and therefore the transition process is affected by incoherent, inconsistent or even false data. It is totally different to follow the conformity or to run for process lifecycle management (PLM) applying the benefits of change management theory. Those made more complicate the problem, adding new considerations like changes in safety regulations, adapted cleaning necessities and possibilities, continuous development of new materials, sensors requirements, extra data flows, modifications in the intervention resources, and the appearance of different staff profile or staff training. The global change management activities encompass all the 4 mentioned aspects, reiterating that the staff training and acceptance make no part of the mentioned study. One of the goals of the mentioned research is to identify a proper problem modeling and digitization in order to raise the right funding that may contribute to better results. As simple as it seems, the mathematical model

Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, humans are looking for ways to cure various diseases. Meanwhile, musculoskeletal injuries usually have a long treatment period. Therefore, in recent years, Researchers working one exoskeleton with rehabilitation application which conduct physiotherapy tasks. In current study, a portable two degree of freedom hand exoskeleton is designed which its mechanism is a combination of cable and link mechanism, MCP 1 _ joint between metacarpal and proximal phalanges_ joints move by link mechanism, DIP 2 _ joint between proximal phalanges and middle phalanges_ and PIP 3 _ joint between middle phalanges and distal phalanges_ joints move by cable mechanism and Pronation movement is considered for thumb. Link mechanisms are designed by optimization method, by comparing the optimization results of different mechanisms. The 4-bar mechanism is the best choice which its maximum error equal to 3.95 degrees.

This paper presents a robotic system - RoboFDM that targets at printing 3D models without support-structures, which is considered as the major restriction to the flexibility of 3D printing. The hardware of RoboFDM consists of a robotic arm providing 6-DOF motion to the platform of material accumulation and an extruder forming molten filaments of polylactic acid (PLA). The fabrication of 3D models in this system follows the principle of fused decomposition modeling (FDM). Different from conventional FDM, an input model fabricated by RoboFDM is printed along different directions at different places. A new algorithm is developed to decompose models into support-free parts that can be printed one by one in a collision-free sequence. The printing directions of all parts are also determined during the computation of model decomposition. Experiments have been successfully taken on our RoboFDM system to print general freeform objects in a support-free manner.

This research paper investigates, through a case study, which should be the basic requirements such as an industrial robot to make drawings based on data provided from image processing. An algorithm for image processing and data sorting to be further used by the robot for lines drawing is presented in this paper. Using LabVIEW, image is converted into a binary format. Researches from this paper indicate that, due to the specific requirements needed to program linear and circular robot motions, as well as due to the specific procedure to define robot tool centre point (TCP), information embedded in the binary format necessitate transformation into points with relative coordinates to a reference frame of the drawing plane such as a robot to be able to make drawings. A conversion approach from the binary matrix to the robot drawing matrix is proposed in the paper, together with the necessary settings of the robot motions.
The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and its progressively wider impact on many sectors across the society requires an assessment of its effect on sustainable development. Here we analyze published evidence o...

The light diffuseness (Xia, Pont et al. 2016, Xia, Pont et al. 2016) can strongly influence the appearance of scenes and objects inside it. There are numerous studies investigating how to measure the light diffuseness or modelling index. However, there are few studies about how light diffuseness is interpreted by human observers. We use an appearancematching experiment to investigate observers' visual interpretation of light diffuseness from object appearance and its potential interactions with viewing angles, light probe type, etcetera. The results indicate that, generally, the observers are able to distinguish different diffuseness levels for both the smooth and rough white spherical probes. The “diffuseness-direction ambiguity” (Pont and Koenderink 2007) is obvious especially for the smooth probe and it can be largely corrected for by the “effective vector to scalar ratio” (Cuttle 1971). Moreover, the results showed that the use of a probe with mesorelief can at least partly resolve the “diffuseness-direction ambiguity”.
