The development of fast, accurate and low-cost methods of analysis is increasingly necessary in the context of species evolution. Techniques based on the use of nanopores for the analysis of various disease-specific biomarkers have received attention from researchers. Studies have developed significantly, from the use of the $\alpha$ - HL protein pore to integrated devices such as the one developed by Oxford Nanopore Technology. The aim is to reach the full potential of using nanopores for clinical analysis, specifically to use them for various molecules regardless of their physicochemical properties (size, electric charge, concentration in solution). In this context, experimental protocols need to be adapted for each molecule to optimize biomarker analysis methods. Early and accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatment leading to a higher quality of life. Changes at the structural level of proteins involved in various physiological processes cause dysfunctions and implicitly lead to the development of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease which is activated by the degradation of amyloid fibers. The challenge of analyzing proteins with nanopores consists precisely of their large structural size and non-uniform charge loading. The current paper aims to synthesize some of the knowledge in the field to aid in the challenges raised by the experimental part of nanopore sensing for proteins.

As the number of devices connected to the Internet of things (IoT) surges, the amount of data explodes. Therefore it not only increases the bandwidth load of data transmission but also aggravates the computing and storage load of a cloud platform. At the same time, the traditional computing paradigm centered on cloud computing cannot meet the real-time requirements in many application scenarios. The emergence of edge computing can solve the problems of realtime data processing and network bandwidth occupation in the current IoT scene. In this paper, according to the characteristics of IoT, such as fragmented data, heterogeneous network, and limited energy consumption, the architecture of an IoT edge computing system is constructed to suit better an IoT scene. In addition, the application of edge computing key technologies such as virtualization, edge intelligence, computing offload, collaborative scheduling and micro-services in resource-constrained IoT scenarios is analyzed in detail. Finally, the functions and application of energy consumption monitoring and optimization to a central air-conditioning system are analyzed and summarized, which is a typical application of edge computing in the context of the IoT. © 2020 IEEE.

Grinding is an energy-consuming process in mineral processing industry. Improving grinding processing capacity per unit power consumption is an effective means to reduce grinding production cost. In this paper, a new index for evaluating the effective processing throughput of SAG milling is proposed. The production process model is established by BP neural network (BPNN). Through combining the process mechanism and production constraints, the genetic algorithm is adopted to optimize the operating parameters of the SAG milling process to maximize the effective throughput, thus improving the grinding efficiency. The experimental results showed that through optimization of effective throughput function proposed in this paper, the SAG mill processing capacity has been increased by 4% and the operating power drawn reduced by 1.12%. It has important guiding significance for the actual production process.

The aim of this paper is to study the synchronous permanent magnet generator (PMSG) connected to a wind turbine using a back-stepping command followed by a fuzzy-logic regulator. First, we employed vector control based on PI type regulators, which is too susceptible to machine parameter changes and external disturbances. In order to address this issue, we used the back-stepping technique, which was then enhanced by intelligent fuzzy-logic control, enabling us to achieve both greater flexibility and robustness.

In the context in which pedestrians are the most exposed road user category in urban areas, this paper presents the results of an experimental demonstration of a new system designed to assist pedestrians in safely using a crosswalk. The proposed architecture consists of a pedestrian detection and localization unit that detects pedestrians in the crosswalk area, a visible light communications component that transmits this information toward the approaching vehicles using the visible light communications technology and a graphical user interface that enables the driver to receive relevant traffic safety information. The experimental investigation has shown that based on a multi-sensor data fusion approach, pedestrians are detected with an overall 100% detection rate, whereas the low power crosswalk sign VLC emitter can provide a communication range of up to 27 ― 40 meters, with a data rate of 100 kb/s and a BER in the 10– 7 ― 10– 4 range. Therefore, the experimental results indicate that the proposed VLC system has high performance in traffic situations that could pose serious issues to other concepts.

The object of research is decision-making support systems. Local wars and armed conflicts of recent decades are characterized by high dynamics of operations (combat operations) and a significant amount of diverse information circulating in information systems. These features determine the search for new approaches to increase the efficiency of decision-making support systems, given their reliability. This article solves the problem of developing a method of multicriteria evaluation in conditions of *** the course of the research, the authors used the main provisions of the theory of artificial intelligence, automation theory, theory of complex technical systems and general scientific methods of cognition, namely analysis and synthesis. The proposed methodology was developed taking into account the practical experience of the authors of this work during the military conflicts of the last decade. The method of multicriteria evaluation is universal and can be used to assess the state of the objects of analysis of any architecture. The results of the research will be useful in:– development of new control algorithms in decision-making support systems;– substantiation of recommendations for improving the efficiency of operational management;– analysis of analysis (monitoring) objects in the course of hostilities (operations);– creation of perspective technologies to increase the efficiency of operational management;– assessment of the adequacy, reliability, sensitivity of the scientific and methodological apparatus of operational management in decision-making support systems;– development of new and improvement of existing management *** of further research will be aimed at developing a methodology for intelligent management in special-purpose decision-making support systems. © 2022, The Authors. Over the past two decades, synchronization, as an interesting collective behavior of complex dynamical networks, has been attracting much attention. To reveal and analyze the inherent mechanism of synchronization in complex dynamical networks with time delays in nodes, this paper attempts to use PD and PI control protocols to achieve synchronization. Based on a classical network model, we investigate the PD and PI control for synchronization of complex dynamical networks with delayed nodes and obtain some sufficient conditions. By using Lyapunov functions and appropriate state transformations, we prove that global synchronization can be achieved via the above control protocols. Finally, some simulation examples are illustrated to validate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.

In the field of meteor study using radio techniques, the transmitting antenna of the radio beacons is most of the time a classical turnstile antenna design. As an alternative, it is proposed a pyramidal shaped omnidirectional antenna with complex conjugate impedance, which exhibits similar performance. By design, this type of antenna does not require additional electrical components for obtaining the circular polarization and the impedance matching. Furthermore, the pyramidal shape allows the practical implementation of the antenna using a simple and light mechanical structure.

Due to numerous advantages, Visible Light Communications are considered to have high potential in providing support for communication-based vehicle safety applications. In this area, Infrastructure-to-Vehicle communications are one of the main use cases. Nevertheless, the outdoor communication channel is very problematic affecting the reliability of VLC systems. In this paper we perform an intensive day test for such a VLC link. The purpose is to experimentally determine the influence of the sun power and of sun orientation on VLC, emphasizing and analyzing the effect of the sunlight on the link performances. Another aim of this experimental investigation is to identify potential vulnerabilities in order to provide support for future developments. For this set-up we used a standard complying LED traffic light as a VLC emitter and an enhanced design of photodiode-based VLC receiver using a novel logarithmic transimpedance configuration. The experimental results showed that the sun can have a major influence on outdoor VLC. Nevertheless, they also showed that with a proper system design and with adequate signal conditioning, VLC can support 50 meters communication ranges in automotive applications. © 2019 IEEE.

The program 'Digital Economy of the Russian Federation', launched in 2019, contains virtual and augmented reality technologies in its list. Each such technology consists of many assistive technologies called sub-technologies. These assistive technologies make up a large list, while failure to obtain the required results in at least one of these technologies may lead to the fact that the integral technology will not be created. This article discusses a list of only critical assistive technologies, that is, precisely those technologies whose creation is a critical factor for creating a generalized (integral) technology. It is on these technologies that the main emphasis should be placed not only in financing their development, but also in the thorough planning of goals and objectives, in the selection of performers and in the acceptance of research results.
