In this paper, we consider the problem of verifying pre-opacity for discrete-time control systems. Preopacity is an important information-flow security property that secures the intention of a system to execute some secret behaviors in the future. Existing works on pre-opacity only consider non-metric discrete systems, where it is assumed that intruders can distinguish different output behaviors precisely. However, for continuous-space control systems whose output sets are equipped with metrics (which is the case for most real-world applications), it is too restrictive to assume precise measurements from outside observers. In this paper, we first introduce a concept of approximate pre-opacity by capturing the security level of control systems with respect to the measurement precision of the intruder. Based on this new notion of pre-opacity, we propose a verification approach for continuous-space control systems by leveraging abstraction-based techniques. In particular, a new concept of approximate pre-opacity preserving simulation relation is introduced to characterize the distance between two systems in terms of preserving pre-opacity. This new system relation allows us to verify pre-opacity of complex continuous-space control systems using their finite abstractions. We also present a method to construct pre-opacity preserving finite abstractions for a class of discrete-time control systems under certain stability assumptions. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. This paper presents the influence of titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a catalyst to the zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods coated on the tapered MMF fiber as an acetone gas sensing for lowtemperature detection. The ZnO-TiO2 nanorod was decorated with Au-Pd thin films to enhance the sensitivity. Hydrothermal method was used to synthesize the ZnO nanorods while TiO2 powder is incorporated by using simple doping procedure during fabrication. The decoration of the Au-Pd thin films is integrated onto the ZnO-TiO2 by using DC sputtering method. The ZnO doped with 15 mM TiO2 showed a stronger and significant peak based on XRD analysis which can be indexed to the hexagonal phase of ZnO. A few globular structures of TiO2 were randomly distributed as observed by the SEM image. Four different fiber sensing layers were prepared with respect to 10 mM ZnO precursor;ZnO nanorods (ZN), ZnO nanorods decorated with Au-Pd thin films (ZNAP), ZnO-15mM TiO2 nanorods (ZTN) and ZnO-15mM TiO2 nanorods decorated with Au-Pd thin films (ZTNAP). The spectrometry setup was used to evaluate the light intensity for acetone sensing response in relation to its wavelength. Notable output intensity responses were observed for ZTNAP in terms of sensitivity and standard deviation towards various acetone concentrations while the repeatability curve showed a high response of acetone gas at 10,000 ppm. Modeling and Analysis of a Coupled SIS Bi-Virus Model

The paper deals with the setting where two viruses (say virus 1 and virus 2) coexist in a population, and they are not necessarily mutually exclusive, in the sense that infection due to one virus does not preclude the possibility of simultaneous infection due to the other. We develop a coupled bi-virus susceptible-infected-susceptible (SIS) model from a 4n-state Markov process, where n is the number of agents (i.e., individuals or subpopulation) in the population. We identify a sufficient condition for both viruses to eventually die out, and a sufficient condition for the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic stability of the endemic equilibrium of each virus. We establish a sufficient condition and multiple necessary conditions for local exponential convergence to the boundary equilibrium (i.e., one virus persists, the other one dies out) of each virus. Under mild assumptions on the healing rate, we show that there cannot exist a coexisting equilibrium where for each node there is a nonzero fraction infected only by virus 1;a nonzero fraction infected only by virus 2;but no fraction that is infected by both viruses 1 and 2. Likewise, assuming that healing rates are strictly positive, a coexisting equilibrium where for each node there is a nonzero fraction infected by both viruses 1 and 2, but no fraction is infected only by virus 1 (resp. virus 2) does not exist. Further, we provide a necessary condition for the existence of certain other kinds of coexisting equilibria. We show that, unlike the competitive bivirus model, the coupled bivirus model is not monotone. Finally, we illustrate our theoretical findings using an extensive set of simulations. © 2022, CC0.

In Morocco, human activities impact negatively natural resources, and the management of these resources remains difficult considering the multitude of actors, the non-coordination of users and exploiters and the non-sharing of information with actors. All this confronts us with great challenges that can lead to bad results and sometimes even to the depletion of certain resources in specific areas. Nowadays, with new computer technologies, such as Cloud Computing, GIS, IoT, etc., several researchers around the world have focused on the use and management of natural resources. In this work, we will present a literature review of existing work and we describe a theoretical architecture. Also, we present the results of interviews and surveys conducted with actors operating in the management of natural resources in oasis areas, providing answers based on new trends in information technology, especially Cloud Computing. © 2020 ACM.

This paper presents an American sign language (ASL) semantic communications scheme. The scheme consists of a semantic encoder that leverages a convolutional neural network to effectively utilize the ASL alphabet. The encoded information is transmitted with the 24-QAM quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). Additionally, this paper introduces a dataset that involves the overlaying of red-green-blue landmarks and key-points onto the acquired images, thereby augmenting the depiction of hand posture. The quantification of the proposed system’s training, testing, and communication performance is accomplished through numerical results, which serve to emphasize the attainable benefits and stimulate meaningful discussions.

This study proposed a lightweight and secure audio steganography system for hiding text messages during transmission over the Internet to address the computational cost exaggeration, and Insufficient levels of security in earlier studies. The paper proposes a two-phase functioning mechanism. Text characters are transformed into ASCII code and then stored in a vector, which is then divided into three sub-vectors. The sub-vectors are scrambled using a two low complexity operation, namely a forwardbackward reading technique and an odd-even index. Two scrambling circuits can be performed: the first on tiny sub-vectors and another on the vector as a whole. In the hiding phase, the speech signal samples were divided into 256 blocks using only 200 values per block, and low complexity Quadratic and the Hénon maps to hide the speech signal in a random manner. This method utilizes the conditional LSB as low complexity algorithm to identify hidden bits and a special hyperchaotic map algorithm for randomly choosing locations. The proposed approach provides good security for a scrambled text message with high SNR and PSNR, small MSE error and PESQ, SSIM near one, BER close to zero, and MOS near five as well as the lowest computational hiding cost. © 2023, The Authors. Medical image segmentation is an important task in the field of medical image processing, and deep learning-based methods have made significant progress in this area. However, traditional segmentation models have limitations when dealing with complex and diverse medical images, and they lack interactivity. To overcome these limitations, the SAM adapter is introduced into the SAM algorithm to provide greater flexibility and scalability. We also introduce an object detection interactive algorithm to enhance the interactivity of the model. The SAM adapter allows for customized model adjustments to adapt to different medical image segmentation tasks and datasets. By finetuning the SAM adapter using the AdaLORA method, we propose the AdaSAMed algorithm, which enables researchers to conveniently develop adaptive and accurate segmentation models, thus promoting further advancement in medical image segmentation of gastrointestinal tumors.

This paper describes the implementation of automatic generation control (AGC) and automatic voltage regulator (AVR) under generation rate constraint (GRC) and coupling between automatic generation control and automatic voltage regulator while considering generation rate constrain of two areas for improve and better performance characteristic of load frequency control (LFC) problem. our control aim has to normalize the area control error (ACE), frequency error and tie-line power error in spite of the presences of system uncertainties and external load disturbance, So that the required frequency and power interchange with adjacent structures are maintained in order to reduce the transient deviations and to provide zero steady state error in proper short time, the behavior of the planned is checked by MATLAB SIMULINK software. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing.
