Images are widely used in social networks, necessitating efficient and secure transmission, especially in bandwidth-constrained environments. This article aims to develop a color image encryption algorithm that enhances security while optimizing computational efficiency. A novel parallel color image encryption algorithm based on the 2-D logistic-Rulkov neuron map (2D-LRNM) is proposed. In this approach, the three channels of the color image are first separated. Cross-channel information interaction is introduced to form three new channels, which are then processed in parallel. During the encryption process of each channel, a block-wise parallel encryption mechanism is applied, ensuring simultaneous encryption of each block. This block-wise strategy effectively leverages parallel computing resources and balances the task load. To meet the demand for a large number of keystreams during encryption, the 2D-LRNM is introduced. It combines the simplicity and chaotic properties of the Logistic map with the multitimescale dynamics and neurodynamic behaviors of the Rulkov map. By overcoming the dimensional limitations inherent in the single Logistic map, this approach extends the system to a 2-D framework, significantly increasing the complexity of chaotic behavior and improving its unpredictability. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed encryption algorithm achieves high security and reduces computation time by approximately 83.3%. © 2014 IEEE.

In past decades, scientific research has explored various bat detection systems methods, a common trend to identify heterogeneous species of bats. In this article, we represented an ultrasonic bat detection and protection method by interfacing an IoT automated device for the first time in agriculture development to introduce steady security in a preventive way. The automated bat banisher system is an effectual model for farmers to protect their land at a very affordable cost from nuisance bats. Moreover, the highest-quality fruits are the ones that bats choose to eat when they attack. This prevents the farmer from getting the best possible yield, Farmers have tried everything from handcrafted sound systems and medication to nets and traps to get rid of the bats, but they have yet to be effective. We created an Internet of Things-based automated bat banisher to combat bats invading farms. In this research, our High-Frequency Ultrasound (IoT automated) system has the potential to save farmers money, time, and effort. Farmers may increase agricultural output to provide the highest suitable fruit supply. Therefore, an ultrasonic IoT-based bat Banisher device is the most straightforward and functional means of dealing with nuisance bats. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Automatic Speaker Identification (ASI) is so crucial for security. Current ASI systems perform well in quiet and clean surroundings. However, in noisy situations, the robustness of an ASI system against additive noise and interference is a crucial factor. An investigation of the impact of interference on ASI system performance is presented in this paper, which introduces algorithms for achieving high ASI system performance. The objective is to resist the interference of various forms. This paper presents two models for the ASI task in the presence of interference. The first one depends on Normalized Pitch Frequency (NPF) and Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) as extracted features and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) as a classifier. In this model, we investigate the utilization of a Discrete Transform (DT), such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Sine Transform (DST), to increase the robustness of extracted features against different types of degradation through exploiting the sub-band decomposition characteristics of DWT and the energy compaction property of DCT and DST. This is achieved by extracting features directly from contaminated speech signals in addition to features extracted from discrete transformed signals to create hybrid feature vectors. The enhancement techniques, such as Spectral Subtraction (SS), Winer Filter, and adaptive Wiener filter, are used in a preprocessing stage to eliminate the effect of the interference on the ASI system. In the second model, we investigate the utilization of Deep Learning (DL) based on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with speech signal spectrograms and their Radon transforms to increase the robustness of the ASI system against interference effects. This paper presents a comprehensive framework for optimal coordination of production, logistics, and maintenance in multi-site stamping plants within the context of Industry 4.0. By integrating key technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing and big data analytics, we developed a system that would enable real-time data sharing, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision-making. This framework aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve service rate. STDP-Driven Automated Retinal Circuit with 7nm FinFET for Motion and Looming Detection: A Hybrid Model with Image Analysis

This paper presents a spike-timing-dependent plasticity (STDP) driven silicon retina designed using 7nm FinFET technology for detecting object motion and looming threats inspired by the biological visual system. The proposed neuromorphic architecture integrates an automated motion spiking circuit with STDP and advanced image analysis, mimicking natural retinal processing to identify potential hazards. Two specialized circuits are introduced to generate bipolar spiking signals for object motion and looming detection. These spikes are processed by an STDP-based spiking neural network, qualifying real-time distance estimation of approaching objects. Model Results demonstrate accurate collision time prognosis based on object dynamics. YOLOv5 and MiDaS enhance object recognition and depth perception, improving situational awareness. The proposed model uses a hybrid strategy combining object detection and depth estimation to identify objects with different spatial distances and confidence levels accurately. Experimental results show a motion detection accuracy of 93.2% and an average latency of around 15 ms, 66 frames per second, which proves this is suitable for time-sensitive applications. Because the 7nm FinFET technology improves system efficiency and responsiveness, it can be used in real-time applications where high-precision motion detection is necessary in dynamic conditions. However, potential challenges include scalability for large-scale deployment and hardware constraints associated with real-time processing on FinFET-based circuits. The proposed system can be used for robotic vision systems, autonomous vehicles, and other contexts where real-time visual processing and threat detection are needed. © 2013 IEEE.

Differential evolution (DE) is a widely recognized method to solve complex optimization problems as shown by many researchers. Yet, non-adaptive versions of DE suffer from insufficient exploration ability and uses no historical information for its performance enhancement. This work proposes Fractional Order Differential Evolution (FODE) to enhance DE performance from two aspects. Firstly, a bi-strategy co-deployment framework is proposed. The population-based and parameter-based strategies are combined to leverage their respective advantages. Secondly, the fractional order calculus is first applied to the differential vector to enhance DE’s exploration ability by using the historical information of populations, and ensures the diversity of population in an evolutionary process. We use the 2017 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC) test functions, and CEC2011 real-world problems to evaluate FODE’s performance. Its sensitivity to parameter changes is discussed and an ablation study of multi-strategies is systematically performed. Furthermore, the variations of exploration and exploitation in FODE are visualized and analyzed. Experimental results show that FODE is superior to other state-of-the-art DE variants, the winners of CEC competitions, other fractional order calculus-based algorithms, and some powerful variants of classic algorithms.
