Advances in algorithmic studies have been made recently, especially in the area of finding the shortest path. Despite taking a greedy approach, the Dijkstra algorithm is well recognized for its efficacy and has established itself as the industry standard for identifying the shortest path in a graph. Conversely, scientists have embraced the Ant-Colony Optimization (ACO) approach, which draws inspiration from the behavior of ants. This study examines the two methods and determines if, given equivalent resources, ACO can generate Dijkstra-like recommendations. Research data is subjected to both algorithms, and the outcomes are presented visually. In data measurement, Dijkstra is processed first to determine the best path, and then the ACO method is applied to produce findings that are similar to Dijkstra. Memory consumption, computation time, initial memory allocation, and final memory allocation are evaluation parameters. ACO is more efficient than Dijkstra in terms of execution time and number of pathways traversed, according to the study's repeated evaluation methodology. This iterative assessment procedure is carried out to address the possibility of single measurements resulting from the JavaScript Garbage Collector. The study's findings imply that a larger memory may be necessary for ACO to deliver the desired outcomes. These results could also be impacted by each algorithm's distinct qualities. © 2023 IEEE.

Exponential increase in the amount of textual data made available on the Internet results in new challenges in terms of accessing information accurately and quickly. Text summarization can be defined as reducing the dimensions of the expressions to be summarized without spoiling the meaning. Summarization can be performed as extractive and abstractive or using both together. In this study, we focus on abstractive summarization which can produce more human-like summarization results. For the study we created a Turkish news summarization benchmark dataset from various news agency web portals by crawling the news title, short news, news content, and keywords for the last 5 years. The dataset is made publicly available for researchers. The deep learning network training was carried out by using the news headlines and short news contents from the prepared dataset and then the network was expected to create the news headline as the short news summary. To evaluate the performance of this study, Rouge-1, Rouge-2, and Rouge-L were compared using precision, sensitivity and F1 measure scores. Performance values for the study were presented for each sentence as well as by averaging the results for 50 randomly selected sentences. The F1 Measure values are 0.4317, 0.2194, and 0.4334 for Rouge-1, Rouge-2, and Rouge-L respectively. Performance results show that the approach is promising for Turkish text summarization studies and the prepared dataset will add value to the literature. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management,resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation ***,the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy *** address these challenges,several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed ***,most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs,which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally,some of them are still susceptible to many *** such,this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)*** formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic,demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably *** proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features,such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and ***,the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks,such as packet replays,forgeries,message falsifications,and *** the performance perspective,this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security ***,the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.

Patients' data is stored in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for confidentiality purposes. However, the insecure networks of hospitals and clinics puts patient information at risk. To address this ethical issue, secure communication is crucial. The digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard governs the transmission of EHRs to maintain data integrity and confidentiality. This paper combines cryptography and steganography techniques to transmit medical information and images across hospital networks, securely. The introduced framework comprises encryption of patients' data using DNA-based Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), hiding the information within images using Least Significant Bit (LSB) embedding, compressing the stego images using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), and reversal of the process at the receiver end. Simulation experiments demonstrate that this framework comprising both encryption and steganography outperforms existing methods in securing the medical data. © 2023 IEEE.

In the time of crisis with Covid-19, the digital government has become a necessity for all countries. To continuously provide services to citizens staying at home, government adapts and creates ways to reach out to citizens digitally. Many new applications emerged, and these new applications accessible via mobile phone and through website and platforms must be standardized for citizens' convenient usage. There must exist a series of standards to ensure interoperability among the government digital service systems. This paper describes the standard and guideline development process invented and adopted at the digital Government Development Agency (public organization) or DGA. It further summarizes the work that needs to be done for a complete solution and the groups such as standard committees involved in achieving this goal. The focus of the paper is on the standard development for interoperable digital government systems in Thailand. The development of the data catalog standard is presented as an example of applying the proposed approach. Standard and guideline development are a necessity for aligning digital government systems together. © 2022 IEEE.

The packet classification is a fundamental process in provisioning security and quality of service for many intelligent network-embedded systems running in the Internet of Things(IoT).In recent years,researchers have tried to develop hardware-based solutions for the classification of Internet *** to higher throughput and shorter delays,these solutions are considered as a major key to improving the quality of *** of these efforts have attempted to implement a software algorithm on the FPGA to reduce the processing time and enhance the *** proposed architectures,however,cannot reach a compromise among power consumption,memory usage,and throughput *** view of this,the architecture proposed in this paper contains a pipelinebased micro-core that is used in network processors to classify *** this end,three architectures have been implemented using the proposed *** first architecture performs parallel classification based on header *** second one classifies packets in a serial *** last architecture is the pipeline-based classifier,which can increase performance by nine *** proposed architectures have been implemented on an FPGA *** results are indicative of a reduction in memory usage as well as an increase in speedup and *** architecture has a power consumption of is 1.294w,and its throughput with a frequency of 233 MHz exceeds 147 Gbps.

Product recommendation systems are a critical element of e-commerce platforms, as they enable customers to identify the items that best meet their needs. Product recommendation systems are important tools used by organizations to increase customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty. Existing product recommendation systems have several weaknesses, such as an inability to incorporate features outside of customer preferences. Therefore, this paper proposes an enhanced product recommendation system using a decision tree algorithm. The main objectives of this system are to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the existing product recommendation systems. To accomplish this, a framework includes a data preprocessing phase, a feature selection phase, and a model training phase. The data preprocessing phase is used to clean the data and eliminate any noise. The feature selection phase is used to identify the most informative features, which are then used to train the decision tree model. The model is trained using CART, a supervised learning algorithm, and is evaluated using various metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Finally, the model is tested on a test dataset to compare with existing solutions. The results show that the proposed system outperforms existing recommender systems in terms of all the evaluation metrics discussed. Furthermore, the improved system also provides useful insights into the product recommendation process for future studies. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
